[résolu] Accélération d NVidia : suivi tutorial - marche pas

Bonjour à tous,

J'ai suivi le tuto http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/materiel/nvidia pour installer l'accélération graphique sur une carte NVidia GeForce 2 MX 440.

Je redémarre...

Et vlan : le serveur X a rencontré des erreurs et ne veut pas se lancer.

Lorsque je remet mon backup du /etc/X11/xorg.conf tout remarche -ouf- mais sans le pilote NVidia -oooh- évidement.

Ci-joint une copie du fichier /var/log/Xorg.0.log -si jamais la solution s'y trouve- :

As-tu bien installé les linux-restricted-modules qui correspondent exactement au noyau que tu utilises ??

Avec ta GeForce 2 MX 440 (n'est plus supportée par nVidia), il faut installer les drivers legacy, également disponibles dans synaptic.

sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx-legacy nvidia-glx-legacy-dev

Ta carte c une GeForce2MX ou une Geforce4MX (d'apres ton ficher xorg.log, tu as une Geforce4mx440) donc ta carte serait bien supporté par les derniers drivers...
Enfin c comme tu veux, si ca marche avec les legacy tant mieux mais c une vieille version des drivers d'nvidia
De toute facon, meme une GeForce2 MX est supportée, voir la liste officielle d'nvidia.

Oui ok elle est supportée, mais il faut les drivers legacy.
Par contre s'il a une geforce 4 ... hmm

C'est bien une 4mx440.

Ceci dit, avec NVidia je commence à avoir vu suffisement de drôles de trucs pour pas m'étonner facilement.
