Bonsoir,
Je dispose d'un ordi portable Asus F5RL, malheureusement je ne parviens pas à détecter de réseau wifi.
J'ai parcouru pas mal de page concernant le WIFI sur le site, fais beaucoup de manip sans jamais aboutir.
J'ai installé wifi-radar, network-admin et finalement mad wifi...
Je ne détecte rien que ce soit sur wifi radar ou NetworkManager.
Lorsque je lance network-admin, je ne dispose pas d'onglet "connexion sans fil" mais seulement de "General", "DNS" et "Hôtes".

Bonsoir,
ni wifi-radar, ni network-admin, ni madwifi (meme si ce dernier fait fonctionner ta carte car il a installer un module=driver à la place du module par défaut qui est sensé fonctionner d'ailleur) n'aurait pus regler ton probleme car cela vient du fait que tu as utiliser un programme pour configurer ta connexion qu'il vaut mieux ne pas utiliser (a moins de savoir ce que l'on fait). En effet, ce programme ou outils a modifié le fichier interface, rendant "network-manager" (le seul programme qu'il faut utiliser pour configurer ton reseau. c'est un icone en haut a droite a coté de l'heure qui prend différent aspect selon ta configuration réseau actuelle) aveugle. Remet le donc comme il devrait etre avec cette commande :
echo -e 'auto lo\niface lo inet loopback\n' | sudo tee /etc/network/interfacesReboot apres, il te restera plus qu'a configurer le reseau via network-manager > clic droit sur icone, verifie que le "reseasu sans fil" est coché, puis clic gauche, selectionne ton wifi, renseigne la clef wep ou wpa, et valide.

D'abord, merci beaucoup pour cette aide.
Malheureusement, après avoir effectué la manip et rebooté il n'y a toujours pas de réseau wifi disponible : réseau sans fil activé (clic droit) mais déconnecté et aucun réseau (clic gauche)
J'ai vérifié le fichier interface, et celui-ci est correct :

ton wifi n'est pas "UP" (=actif), essaye :
sudo ifconfig ath0 upet re donne a nouveau le retour d'un

ok, il est bien passé à "up". la commande suivante devrait te lister les points access wifi disponible dans ton environnement :
iwlist scanSi cela t'as bien listé des reseau, test ton wifi avec network-manager

Bon, on va désactiver madwifi et remetre le module d'origine. Edite le fichier avec cette commande (attention a ce que tu fais)
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ath_pci.confet modifie la ligne
blacklist ath5ken
blacklist ath_pciEnregistre les modifs, ferme, reboot et re-test un

arf, c'est toujours le module madwifi qui prend en charge ton wifi....grrr...on va le matter celui-la 
édite le fichier /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf avec cette commande (attention à ce que tu fait) :
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.confà la fin du fichier rajoute une ligne contenant
blacklist ath_pciregarde si tu trouve une ligne contenant
blacklist ath5kSi oui, modifie la en
#blacklist ath5kenregistre et ferme l'éditeur.
édite le fichier /etc/modules avec cette commande (attention à ce que tu fait) :
sudo gedit /etc/modulesà la fin du fichier rajoute une ligne contenant
ath5kenregistre et ferme l'éditeur.
reboot, et redonne le retour de
sudo lshw -C network

ah ben voila qui est mieux, non mais 
bon, débranche ton cable ethernet, et configure ta connexion reseau via network manager.
