[RESOLU] Question sur l'édition de menu.list

Bonjour à tous.

Un problème pas trop gênant, mais j'aimerais juste savoir si je peux retirer certains "vieux kernels" de mon menu.list sans risquer de planter GRUB. Mon but est juste d'avoir un menu de démarrage plus propre.

Puis-je me contenter de supprimer les entrées correspondant aux kernels avant le 2.6.15-22 ?

Voilà le code de mon fichier (c'est un peu long, mais comme ça, vous pourrez peut-être mieux saisir mon problème smile ) :

Tu peux desinstaller les vieux kernels depuis synaptic...le menu.lst sera modifé en conséquence automatiquement.

oh là là! la collec lol
les kernles ne sont pas supprimés automatiquement lors de la mise à jour en cas de problème de compatibilité. Si ça marche, tu peux les supprimer.
dans synaptic, supprime linux-image-***** dont tu n´as plus besoin. Si le k7 fonctionne, supprime aussi linux-386

ça va te libérer pas mal de place et grub sera mis à jour automatiquement

Doc à suivre avant une install (Pensez à vérifier le md5 du .iso téléchargé!)

tu peux aussi mettre
# howmany=2
à la place de
# howmany=all
puis relancer update-grub

Pour n'afficher que les deux noyaux les plus récents installés.

J'ai supprimé les vieux kernels 386 dans Synaptic >>> 460 Mo de récupérés ! wink

je veux editer souces.list mais ellen'est pas reconnue;voilà la commande
sudo gedit/etc/apt/sources.list

Ajoute un espace entre gedit et /etc/apt/sources.list
