Maverick ne boot plus si ma TP-Link TL-WN851N est branchée

Le problème est assez embêtant mais il est plutôt facile d'établir le rapport de cause à effet:
J'ai acheté une carte TP-Link TL-WN851N à brancher sur un slot PCI. Au premier démarrage, elle est détectée et un driver libre a tenté de l'utiliser, mais ca ne marchait pas, donc j'ai utilisé le pilote Win XP 64bits (vu que je suis sur un proco 64bits). Suite au NDISwrappage, ca marchait impec, vraiment aucun problème.

Je redémarre, et là misère, ubuntu bloque au boot. Je tente le recovery mode, et le dmesg s'arrête de "progresser" après que les interfaces de lecture de cartes mémoires soient chargées.

Si je débranche la carte PCI, le PC démarre sans problème, tout marche. Si je tente de la hotplugger sous ubuntu, elle n'est pas détectée vu que ma carte mère ne sait visiblement pas hotplugger des trucs en PCI.

Le problème n'est pas du à ma carte PCI, vu que XP démarre dessus et elle fonctionne sans problème avec lui. (quel dommage).

Notez aussi que je suis mis à jour de partout, dernière version du kernel pour Ubuntu x64 (et c'est une install "fraîche", pas une maj de Lucid vers Maverick).

Merci d'avance. J'ai pas posté les commandes habituelles (lspci, lsusb, dmesg) vu qu'on ne voit rien d'intéressant concernant la carte, elle est débranchée! Je les posterai si besoin est.a

J'up... c'est vraiment gênant et c'est un peu honteux que ça marche sous Win et pas sous Buntu.

Pour résoudre un problème commence par poser les bonnes questions, la bonne solution en découlera

Ouai, c'est maverick 64.
BOn, la situation a évolué, je sais pas si c'est vraiment en bien ou en mal:
j'ai supprimé le driver windows XP 64 quej'avais installé avec ndiswrapper auparavant, et j'ai rebooté (avec la carte dans le PC ce coup-ci). Le PC boot sans problème. Conclusion --> c'était le driver qui merdait.

Je tente alors de faire fonctionner la carte avec le driver 32 bit... ca ne fonctionne pas (ndiswrapper ne l'associe pas à la carte)
Juste pour voir, "j'installe" à nouveau le driver XP 64 bit... et là cc'est vraiment incompréhensible:
- ndiswrapper indique que le driver est bien installé
- il indique aussi que le matos est présent
- un rapide lspci m'indique que le matos est bien là, en effet
...cependant  la carte en elle même n'a pas sa diode "status" allumée, et le network manager n'affiche pas d'interface wireless, tout aussi bien que wifi-radar ne trouve pas d'interface wifi... étrange quoi.

J'ai déjà fait un lspci dans mon message précédent, et lsusb ne renvoie rien d'intéressant sur la carte PCI en question... mais as-tu vraiment une idée du problème?

A priori je ne voit pas quelle puce elle utilise , il semble qu'elle ne soit pas vue, et d'après le fabricant, il n'y a pas de support Linux

Ouai. C'est une tour, pas un PC portable.
Le plus étrange; c'est que le premier jour ou j'ai eu la carte, je la mets dans le PC,je démarre la machine; tout roule. Le driver libre tente d'utiliser la carte mais il fonctionne mal (pas de WPA), donc j'utilise le driver du fabricant avec ndiswrapper; et là ca marchait vraiment impec.... c'est que après redémarrage que ca s'est mis à chier.
