problemes d'utilisateur driver nvidia

hello world !
bon vala j'ai voulu installer les drivers pour ma carte nvidia fx 5200 pour pouvoir ensuite installer xgl+compiz tongue !!
donc voila je trouve la doc sur le wiki, je fais tout bien comme il faut (install des paquets + modif des "nv" en "nvidia"), je redemarre le server Xorg et là ... plantage de kde qd je tape startx.
Donc je redemarre en failsafe, vire tous les paquets installés et j'execute alors le script NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8762-pkg1.run trouvé sur le site de nvidia. Un coup de startx et ca marche avec les jolis ecrans de veille OpenGL qui vont bien !!!:P
Maintenant le probleme c'est que lorsque je demarre une session normale (pas en mode failsafe), eh bien Xorg refuse toujours de demarrer !!!:mad:
Je ne comprend plus rien et ca fait 3 jours que je bataille dessus donc j'espere qu'une âme charitable aura une idée ...:rolleyes:
en esperant avoir ete assez clair

ps : j'oubliais le xorg.conf ca peut servir !!

hello aussi,
quand tu rebootes normalement peux-tu aller sur une console (Ctrl-Alt-F2 par exemple), te loguer et indiquer le résultat de la commande lsmod ainsi que le contenu du fichier /var/log/Xorg.0.log ?

tu pourrais peut-être executer le script NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8762-pkg1.run dans cette même console, et à la fin de l'installation faire un

sudo depmod -a

histoire de forcer les dépendances des modules, ensuite tu pourras relancer startx.

il y'a plusieurs choses "anormales" dans les résultats donnés, en particulier dans Xorg.0.log, il ne trouve pas le module "glx" alors qu'il semble charger le driver "nv" et non "nvidia"; il y'a aussi le fait lsmod indique qu'il charge via_agp ce qui peut provoquer un conflit avec l'agp de nvidia (perso, j'avais un intel_agp que j'ai "blacklisté" mais ça c'est pour plus tard si nécessaire).
As-tu purgé tous la packages nvidia par défaut d'ubuntu ? pour vérifier tu lances la commande

dpkg -l *nvidia*

s'il y'en a (il y'aura un ii au début de la ligne) alors il faut les supprimer avec "sudo apt-get remove --purge"

tu pourrais aussi recompiler tes drivers nvidia de la manière suivante (dans une console):

NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8762-pkg1.run --uninstall
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8762-pkg1.run -x-module-path=/usr/lib/xorg/modules

enfin peuxt-tu montrer le contenu du fichier /etc/X11/corg.conf ? normalement à la fin de l'installation, il propose de modifier ce fichier pour ajouter en particulier la ligne

Driver  "nvidia"

en tout état de cause, voici une bonne réfèrence sur les drivers nvidia pour ubuntu

il n'y a aucune raison d'être perdu, cela arrive souvent avec des drivers propriétaires, mais nvidia a fait des efforts, et tu finiras certainement par faire tourner ton "nvidia".

petit up pour dire que j'etais sur kubuntu.
ca fait maintenant une semaine que j'ai réinstallé mon systeme avec ubuntu cette fois et j'ai installé tous les drivers du premier coup ca marche nickel !!!:cool:
j'ai du coup testé xgl mais pas gd chose comme effets, j'ai perdu la barre de titre des fenetres mais ca c un autre topic ...
comprends tjs pas pourkoi ca ne marchait pas sous kubuntu et la ca marche sous ubuntu ...
