Installer la 3D à ma carte radeon 9600XT, comment faire? sous edgy

Bonsoir tout le monde!

sous dapper, la 3D marchait très bien, aussi bien pour les jeux videos (cube etc..) que pour le couple xgl/compiz.. j'avais le bureau en 3D et tout.. Et maintenant, même le jeu X-moto en 2D est saccadé sous Edgy! c'est.. dommage sad

je me suis dis qu'il fallait réinstaller les pilotes 3D, mais après avoir lu plusieurs doc, plusieurs sujets, je n'y entends tjs rien! driver libres? Propriétaires? Perso pour pouvoir profiter au mieux de ma carte, je préfère utiliser le proprio s'il marche mieux, mais marche t-il mieux? Enfin, une fois que vous m'aurez dis lequel je dois installer, pouvez-vous m'aider à le faire?! J'ai essayé plusieurs fois, aucun résultats :s

Le proprio c'est accélération 3D assurée (ou presque) mais pas de AIGLX (obligation de passer par XGL)

Je fais partie des cinq gus dans un garage qui font des mails à la chaîne

Est-ce que AIGLX est aussi performant que XGL séparément?

Bref, je préfere utiliser le driver libre, mais pouvez vous m'aider à l'installer? merci beaucoup!
Et Maxouille, quels pilotes utilises-tu? les libres? Si oui, je veux bien que tu m'aide tongue

MAis je ne sais pas comment verifier smile

Par contre moi nexuiz marche pu sous edgy, j'ai des vieu graphisme tout bizar avec des mur etranges .. Si qqn sais resoudre sa wink

Alors avant tout quelques infos. J'ai Edgy, une ATI 9600XT, les drivers radeon libres donc AIGLX, l'accélération 3D, Beryl et Emerald... Quoi d'autre ? Ah, si ! Ça marche super bien lol

Merci pour ta réponse SEG! Seulement, sans trop réfléchir, j'ai copié collé ton xorg, dans le mien, et en redémarrant le pc, il n'a pas apprécié big_smile! J'ai du faire un "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg".. Voila mon nouveau xorg, pouvez vous m'aider à le modifier, de manière ç l'optimiser et de manière à avoir la 3D? Le reste j'ai fais, j'ai changé la sources.list etc...

Le copier/coller d'un xorg.conf ça peut marcher, si, si. Mais seulement si on entend le chant du coucou et qu'on a une pièce dans la poche... lol
Blague à part je pense que ce qui a contrarié ton moniteur c'est justement la section "Monitor" (HorizSync et VertRefresh). Je te remet mon xorg.conf avec les passages à modifier :

- ensuite tu désintalles les packets relatifs à FGLRX
- enfin tu relances l'interface graphique (ctrl+alt+backspace je suis une brute cool)

c'est la catastrophe!

j'ai fais ce qui m'a semblé être juste de faire, c'est à dire que j'ai copié les parties que tu as mis en gras dans mon xorg, puis j'ai désinsatallé tout ce qui avait un rapport avec fglrx avant de redémarrer le pc.. en redémarrant, ça me refait le coup du "ton xorg ne permet pas de bon affichage", bref j'essaie la commande sudo "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" et là ça me donne ça:

Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:  at /usr/share/per15/Debconf/FrontEnd/Gnome.pm line 54.
debconf: Impossible d'initialiser l'interface: Gnome
debconf: (DISPLAY problem?)
debconf: Utilisation de l'interface Dialog en remplacement

je ne sais même pas si j'ai une copie de xorg par là.. je vais essayé de voir ça, mais c'est quand même assez surprenant, et ça commence vraiment à m'énerver! si quelqu'un a une astuce pour ce nouveau problème.. je ne peux plus démarrer le pc!

Toutes mes confuses pour la catastrophe.

Ce sont les manips qui m'ont permis d'avoir Beryl et AIGLX avec le driver radeon libre sur ma 9600XT. Il faut faire disparaître TOUTES les traces de fglrx, dans les packages (fglrx-control et xorg-driver-fglrx), le xorg.conf et dans "/etc/modules".

Ben c'est à dire que la je suis vraiment mal barré!! merci de ton soutient SEG, je ne peux toujours pas démarrer sous linux.. j'avais aucun backup de xorg, et j'ai essayé d'édité xorg avec le logiciel "nano" mais aucun résultat!

quelqu'un a-t-il une petite idée?

Bon, je sais que je vais apparaître comme une grosse brute mais :
- backup de tes données (une partition /home peut-être ?)
- boot avec le Live-CD d'Edgy

ensuite deux solutions :
- écraser ton xorg.conf par celui de base du Live et rebooter

sinon si ça ne fonctionne pas :
- réinstall
C'est une pratique très "windowsienne", c'est aussi assez pragmatique... en tous cas c'est ma façon de voir big_smile. Apprendre sur le tas oui, rester planté non.

Une certitude, la radeon 9600XT tourne avec les drivers libres radeon et Beryl.

Si le /home est sur une partition à part, aucun problème, sinon il te faudra sauvegarder ton /home avant de reformater. Ou sinon tu peux créer la partition qui contiendra ton /home, déplacer les données, et enfin reformater le / et réinstaller Ubuntu.

j'avais pas de edgy sous la main.. j'ai téléchargé le kubuntu edgy, pour tester l'autre environement tant qu'à faire, mais je ne sais pourquoi, quand je devais partitionner, ça buggait... du coup j'ai installé de nouveau la dapper drake que j'avais sur cd.. c'est pas la joie!

après avoir fait les mises à jours jusqu'à Edgy, pourrai-je utiliser le cd de kubuntu pour installer kde en // avec gnome?

Tu peux très bien installer KDE depuis Ubuntu par le net, il te suffit de faire un apt-get install kubuntu-desktop et le tour et joué !

J'ai une install propre maintenant wink Au passage que me conseillez-vous d'installer? automatix ou easyubuntu ? Je vais copier ta source list, elle a l'air assez complète, mais la encore je n'y connais pas grand chose :s.

Bref, nous y somme j'ai lancer le KDE à s'installer, et j'aimerai installer le pilote 3D! mais je comprend pas trop, j'avais lu que le pilote libre ne marchait pas alors que tu me dis qu'il marche?! Enfin.. peux-tu m'aider à nouveau car la derniere fois ça a tout fait planter! :s

je te remet ma xorg.conf et peux-tu la modifier à ma place? Parce que là je m'en sens vraiment incapable :'(!

J'espère que cette fois sera la bonne. J'ai commenté les lignes d'origines de ton xorg.conf et rajouté celles qui devraient te permettre d'avoir l'accélération 3D avec les drivers radeon libres. Bien sûr avant de faire un copier/coller tu fais une copie de sauvegarde de ton xorg.conf, hein... big_smile

Une fois le remplacement fait tu redémarres le serveur X (ctrl+alt+backspace). Ensuite tu exécutes la commande  "glxinfo | grep rendering"  dans un terminal et tu devrais avoir un "direct rendering: Yes". Quand tu en seras là, reviens faire un petit coucou pour la suite.

pour une fois, le pc a bien voulu redémarrer!! Bien alors voila le message que j'ai:
