Where are you kernel K7 ?

Bonsoir a tous

ça fesait un bail que j'étais pas revenu sur ce forum !
environ 6 mois
6 mois ou ubuntu roulais peper

me voila en train de faire la maj avec l'exellent logiciel de dist-upgrade
sa rox
peu de temps apres j'apprend l'éxistence de beryl
hier j'ai donc éssayé de l'installer

seule probleme les drivers de la carte graphique sont accro au kernel k7 (et ce depuis warty )
je tente quand meme sa marche !
je lance beryl, sa wox (prendre l'accent améwican )
je reboot, je lance beryl -> crash
je recommence, meme probleme

je tourne donc actuellement avec le kernel 386 et compiz qui tourne bien, mais - configurable que beryl

Je met donc en cause le kernel 386 que ma carte graphique n'aime pas
je les cherche, rien sur synaptic...

Sous Edgy, plus de 686, K7, et autre smp
Il n'y a plus que generic.

Normalement le noyau generic se substitue bien à tous les noyaux optimisés...

dans mon cas, la MAJ de Dapper vers Edgy m'avait remis un kernel 386 alors que j'étais k7...

J'ai juste viré tout les autres kernels pour ne mettre que le generic de la plus haute version mais aussi les restricted modules pour être trankill...

Bon si cela se trouve tu as aussi loupé quelques chose dans ta manip sur beryl ?

non, je crois que j'ai rien zapé durant l'install de beryl

sinon, meme chose, dapper -> edgy sa a fait K7 -> 386
bah perso c'est un peu dérengeant, mais bon, j'me sui fait à compiz donc pas si genant que ça

sinon, je crois que j'ai un peu trop bidouillé béryl durant la seul fois ou il a marché et c'est pour ça qu'il ne marche plus, je vais voir...
