(Resolu) Acer TravelMate 630LC bordure noir autour de l'écran
Bonjour, avant d'installer en dur je voudrais résoudre un problème avec le LiveCD
J'essaie d'installer Ubuntu sur un ACER 630 LC avec carte graphique NVIDIA GeForce2 Go.
J'ai une résolution de 1024x800 alors que nativement le portable supporte 1400x1050 résultat j'ai un bord noir tout autour de GDM
J'ai edité le xorg.conf pour ajouter la résolution native, puis fais un ctrl-alt-backspace pour relancer le serveur X mais rien n'y fait.
Où est mon erreur ?

J'essaie en Live CD auparavant car c'est le portable d'un client, j'ai fais un ghost image disque mais j'ai pas envie de faire une installe pour rien

Oui j'ai lu, c'est grâce à ce wiki que j'ai pu bricoler le xorg.conf
En ce qui concerne les synchro vert. et horiz. c'est un portable dont le xorg.conf est correcte.
J'ai aussi essayé un live CD Kaella et là pas de prob. l'écran est correct pas de bord noir, je vais regarder son xorg.conf.
Autre indication sous Win il propose 1400x1050, 1024x768, 800x600 ces deux dernières résolutions étant inexploitables (lettres baveuses).

J'ai trouvé une solution de vieux pirate, ca fonctionne nickel mais la démarche n'est pas très propre.
Je lance le live CD Kaella 3 et copie le xorg.conf sur une clef usb
Je lance le live CD Ubuntu et remplace le xorg.conf par celui de Kaella... ca marche mais baveux.
Normal j'ai un pilote VESA, je modifie le xorg.conf et remplace VESA par NV.
Et là l'affichage est nickel... je vais comparer les deux xorg.conf afin de comprendre.

J'ai aussi un acer travelmate 630 que je suis en train de tester avec le Live CD de Kubuntu 6.10. Je rencontre le même problème de résolution foireuse et de cadre noir. Franec, si tu as une solution genre xorg.conf à modifier, je suis preneur. Voici mon xorg.conf:

Si tu veux je t'envoie mon xorg.conf par mail sur ton adresse privée comme tu es membre. Ne met surtout pas ton adresse ici, j'irai la chercher dans ton profil si tu en a indiqué une.
Ou alors je dépose mon Xorg.conf sur le forum, c'est comme tu veux.

Ok Franec, poste ton xorg.conf sur ce forum, ça peut aider quelqu'un avec le même problème
Parce que trouver les bons paramètres pour son moniteur avec les fréquences de balayage verticales et horizontales c'est pas très fun
le plus gros bug est localisé entre le siège et le clavier...

Il n'est pas des plus propre et doit être nettoyé, j'ai paré au plus pressé.
Sur mon Travelmate 630LC il fonctionne sans problèmes tel quel

En fait j'ai pas eu besoin de ton xorg.conf (j'ai testé mais ça a fait planter xserver)
Pour info, le problème vient du pilote NVIDIA GeForce2 Go. J'ai réussi à me dépatouiller avec ce tutoriel:
http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/nvidia
1) il faut installer le pilote propriétaire NVIDIA GLX
2) puis l'activer
3) puis éditer xorg.conf pour rajouter "1400x1050" à la ligne "Modes" de la section "Screen"
