[Xorg]Impossibilité d'utiliser le driver neomagic

Bonjour !

J'utilise edgy avec une carte neomagic pci NM2160 MagicGraph 128XD, normalement supportée par X.
Mais là, impossible d'utiliser ce driver : X me propose d'utiliser vesa à la place, qui fonctionne mais avec quelques inconvénients : problèmes de contraste, d'hibernation, de mise en place du serveur X, d'utilisation des performances de ma carte vidéo...
J'ai installé X à partir d'une version serveur, donc j'ai peut-être oublié quelque chose ?
Pour installer X, j'ai fait :
# apt-get install xorg xserver-xorg gsfonts-x11 msttcorefonts x-window-system

De plus, j'ai des problèmes de fonts :
Could not init font path element /usr/share/fonts/X11/TTF et aussi OTF et CID
Enfin j'ai cette erreur :
FreeFontPath: FPE "/usr/share/X11/fonts/misc" refount is 2, should be 1; fixing

J'ai bien xserver-xorg-video-neomagic d'installé.
Des idées ?

Non fatal X error c'est pour le X.

cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep "(EE)"

Si tu as Edgy, essaie d'ajouter les lignes suivantes a la fin du fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Section "Extensions"
 Option "Composite" "disable"
EndSection

Sinon fais peter ton modele de carte :

lspci | grep VGA

Voilà mon modèle de carte :
00:00.0 VGA compaible controller: Neomagic Corporation NM2103 [MAgicGraph 128XD] (rev 01)

Après avoir modifié le fichier xorg.conf comme tu me l'as dit, j'ai précisé "neomagic" à driver, X n'a pas voulu démarrer. Le méchant !

Au fait, est-il possible de compiler X à la main ? J'ai téléchargé X, mais le make a planté. Existe-t-il un tuto ? Je n'ai pas non plus compris comment fonctionnait leur  wiki...

Bno, X compilé demande 4go et 4h avec un pentium 4 semble-t-il, donc très peu pour ma config...
Personne n'a une idée pour régler mon souci de driver ?
