Pas tout à fait cep, excuses-moi si je ne suis pas très clair smile

La seule solution pour faire fonctionner un CD consiste à démarrer la machine avec le CD déjà présent dans le lecteur. À partir du moment où le CD est éjecté, le lecteur ne fonctionnera plus jusqu'au prochain redémarrage de la machine avec un CD à l'intérieur. Donc il y a bien une solution provisoire, mais elle est très contraignante.

Je viens de lire le rapport (en partie), et même si mon anglais n'est pas tout à fait au top, pour ce que j'ai compris je ne m'y retrouve pas vraiment dans ce qui est décrit.

Je crois qu'il faut savoir s'arrêter, je ne vais pas vous faire perdre plus de temps ; un grand merci, grâce à vous j'aurais eu l'impression de tenter quelque chose !

Je ne manquerai pas de venir le signaler sur ce post si un jour je trouve une solution,

Une question me travaille, est-ce normal que mon lecteur/graveur soit partout reconnu comme étant scsi alors qu'il ne l'est pas, et qu'il est classiquement branché sur une nappe IDE ?

Par ailleurs la commande "cdrecord -scanbus" donne ceci :

Il y a du nouveau !

Dans le grub je choisis le mode recovery.
Arrivé à la ligne de commande root@etc je lance le serveur X (startx)
Une fois sur le bureau j'insère un CD dans le lecteur, je lance le terminal puis je tappe :
mount /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom, et là miracle, le lecteur CD apparaît sur mon bureau ! Un message me précise cependant que je suis en lecture seule (mount: block device /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only).

J'ai ensuite ejecté puis recommencé la même manip'. Ça a fonctionné une seconde fois, mais pas à la troisième.

J'ai supprimé temporairement le contenu de mon home pour voir si le problème ne venait pas de là sans succés.

Au final je n'ai rien résolu, mais j'ai l'impression que mon problème se précise.

Hello,
c'est un bug de HAL qui existe depuis longtemps. J'ai jamais pris le temps de debugger (faute de temps) mais il ne faut pas chercher plus loin. J'ai exactement le même problème avec un lecteur DVD, que je n'utilise plus à moins d'avoir tué le HAL avant.

Salut Mathieu,

C'est "rassurant" quelque part de voir qu'on n'est pas le seul à avoir le soucis ! Plusieurs options s'offrent à moi, changer mon matériel, opter pour une autre distribution où je n'aurais pas le bug, ou bien flasher le firmware. Il va bien falloir que je solutionne tout ça ! smile

Si un périphérique comme un lecteur CD/DVD fait freezer le système (je pense même le kernel, car me semble que les magic keys ne passent plus) c'est qu'à mon avis qu'il y a un bug vraiment critique dans le HAL. Faudrait tester à fond ...  Si un jour je trouve la solution je repasserais par ici..
