PB install Webcam ov51x : Typhoon webshot 350

Salut à tous,

Malgré de nombreux posts très intéressants lus concernant l'installation des webcams utilisant un driver ov51x je n'arrive pas à faire fonctionner ma webcam.

J'ai essayé avec les tutos suivants :

http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/trust_320?s=ov518
et celui des rastageeks.org

pour le moment toutefois sans succès. Lorsque je lance camorama j'ai le message 

error
could not connect to video device (/dev/video0)
please check connection

Pourtant le fichier /dev/video0 existe

sur kopete j'ai juste un bel écran bleu.

au niveau de la reconnaissance de ma webcam tout semble bon :

Bonjour aux linuxiens!!

J'avance petit à petit dans mon problème mais il y a encore du boulot!

Pour le moment j'ai camorama qui se lance, et dans la fenêtre montrant ce que voit la caméra j'ai une "image" qui grésille en noir et blanc. Je n'arrive à discerner aucune forme, juste une image style télé réglé sur aucune chaîne!. Dans Kopete la couleur est verte.

Côté positif : La caméra est enfin reconnu ou du moins en partie.
Côté négatif : j'arrive pas à avoir une image correcte de quoi que ce soit

Pour en arriver jusqu'à là j'ai installé, désinstallé réinstallé et j'ai remarqué que lors de la compil j'ai ce message d'erreur :

Où est le soucis?

J'ai aussi essayé de charger avec ndiswrapper les drivers contenus dans le cd d'installation de la webcam mais sans grand changement.

Quelqu'un pourrait-il me dire pourquoi la webcam ne veut pas me donner une image et ce que je dois modifier?

Pour commencer, quel est le modèle de ta Webcam ?
Je pense qu'aller voir ce tuto http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/ov51x te sera très utile (si tu ne l'a pas déja lu) surtout pour régler le problème d'écran vert avec Kopete.:D

Le modèle de ma webcam est Typhoon Webshot 350 (c'était déjà précisé dans le titre de mon post big_smile wink )
Après recherches, ma webcam utilise bien le driver ov51x

En ce qui concerne le tuto dont tu m'as envoyé le lien, oui j'ai déjà lu cette page et ai fait les manips mais apparemment ça ne suffit pas...:/

Depuis j'ai légèrement avancé avec https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Ov51x toutefois toujours pas résolu. J'ai maintenant une belle image multicolore instable ne représentant pas ce qu'affiche la caméra. Toujours une image type télé non connectée. Aucune forme ne se dessine et surtout je ne vois pas ma fraise!! big_smile Apparemment en ayant chargé et déchargé un à un les /lib/modules/2.6.20-15-generic/extra/ov518_decomp.ko dans modprobe j'ai constaté que ma cam utilisait uniquement la ov518_decomp.ko et non les ov519_decomp.ko ou ov511_decomp.ko car une fois chargés dans modprobe, je peux decharger les 519 et 511 sans problème le 518 il me dit qu'il est utilisé actuellement....

Petit à petit j'avance...

Petit up du pb qui est toujours d'actualité!!

A l'aide de ce topic j'ai fait légèrement avancer le schmilblick :

maintenant l'image en couleur ne représentant rien de particulier et se résumant à des rectangles de couleur changeante (que la webcam semble enregistrer) est dorénavant visible dans kopete!! Mais toujours aucune image de ma sale tête... roll

Des suggestions pour m'aider?! Je suis prêt à effectuer toute manip m'étant proposé!!

J'ai mis ton script et malheureusement je n'ai pas eu de changement au niveau de mon "image" de la webcam. Toujours ces blocs de couleur ne représentant rien du tout...

J'ai cherché de partout, je n'ai vu aucun post dans quelque forum que ce soit concernant le même soucis avec cette webcam. Pffff.

Faudra t'il vraiment que je change de webcam?

D'autres idées? Ou éventuellement le nom d'une webcam qui marche? Merci!!

Je me plongerai plus dans le pourquoi du problème dès mon retour du boulot ce soir. Si quelqu'un voit le soucis dès à présent et veux me faire gagner du temps... big_smile

J'ai déjà résolu le soucis potentiel du config.h par la autoconf.h car mon kernel est 2.6.20-15 généric...

Bon ben, je reviens du travail ça fait deux plombes que je cherche de partout sur le net neutral une solutions pour tous les messages d'attention et d'erreur que j'ai eu lors de ma compilation du fichier ov511-2.32.tar.bz2 mais je ne trouve pas comment faire pour résoudre les différents problèmes.:/

Quelqu'un de calé programmation ou même tout autre personne qui connaît ce problème pourrait-il m'éclairer?

Pour la compil, il est à savoir que mon kernel est 2.6.20-15-generic
que gcc est à jour (du moins il me semble)

Mes maigres connaissances  se font sentir sad

Merci à toute aide éventuelle. Tant que je n'arriverai pas à compiler cette archive je ne pourrais pas tester le driver cosneillé par Kanor....

Si toutefois encore d'autres propositions peuvent m'être faites pour faire fonctionner ma belle petite caméra je reste preneur!!

Le prb c'est que le message est en français donc moin de chance de le trouver sur google
essaye de changer ta langue en anglais pour avoir plus de résultat (ça doit étre dans systéme quelque chose )

J'ai fait des recherches en anglais, allemand, français etc au sujet de mes soucis lors de la compilation toutefois sans succès. neutral

En ce qui concerne mon problème de caméra et le pilote ov51x pour le moment aucun topic n'a encore pu m'aider!! sad

Easycam2 me dit qu'il y a une erreur lors de l'installation du driver ov51 bref, je n'arrive pas à avancer dans mon problème.

Quelqu'un pourrait-il me guider hors de ce calvaire?! Y a t'il des heureux propriétaires de cette webcam Typhoon webshot 350 qui ont réussi à la faire fonctionner sous feisty avec le kernel 2.6.20-15-generic?

Toute aide et ou proposition sera la bienvenue!!

Regarde les logs, d'une part on lit:
ubuntu/media/ov511/ov511.c

et aussi:
ov511
dans lsmod...

Le problème vient du fait que ton kernel utilise le driver ov511 original du noyau linux qui est incomplet.
Tu dois décharger ce module avec la commande rmmod ov511 avant de charger ov51x-jpeg.
Je te conseille de suprimmer le module ov511 pour éviter qu'il soit chargé au démarage de ton système.

Enfin, ndiswrapper, c'est pour le wifi uniquement....

J'avoue que je pense avoir atteint un peu mes limites concernant l'installation de cette webcam!! hmm
Quelqu'un aurait-il la solution? Merci d'avance!!

Regarde les logs, d'une part on lit:

dans lsmod...

Le problème vient du fait que ton kernel utilise le driver ov511 original du noyau linux qui est incomplet.
Tu dois décharger ce module avec la commande rmmod ov511 avant de charger ov51x-jpeg.
Je te conseille de suprimmer le module ov511 pour éviter qu'il soit chargé au démarage de ton système.

Enfin, ndiswrapper, c'est pour le wifi uniquement....

Il est vrai que mon lsmod |grep ov était pas au top au début du topic, mais depuis je n'ai pas posté le nouveau lsmod le nouveau modprobe ni le nouveau dmesg car j'ai fait de nombreuses modifications qui m'ont fait avancer même si le problème reste entier.

J'avais remarqué mon problème avec le ov511 mis par défaut dans le kernel linux et ce dernier a été enlevé avec les commandes 

sudo rm -rf /lib/modules/kernel........

puis 

sudo depmod

et 

sudo depmod -a

ce qui fait qu'aussi bien dans 

 modprobe -l |grep ov

et dans 

 lsmod |grep ov

le driver initial ov511 a disparu.

Toutefois, ma webcam s'allume (la led brille) mais au niveau de camorama je vois une image type télé sans chaîne et je ne vois aucune image ni encore forme. Juste un scintillement noir et blanc. Idem au niveau kopete sauf que là le scintillement se fait en couleur étant donné que j'ai modifié le fichier initial ov51x-jpeg-core.c en mettant palette = 13 (pour kopete).

Je te redonne mes lsmod, modprobe et dmesg actuels. Si tu vois le soucis?

J'ai débranche puis rebranché la webcam donc tout ce qui la concerne se trouve à la fin du dmesg.

Je ne vois pas où est le problème de fonctionnement de ma webcam des idées?

Salut salut!

Je continue encore et toujours à chercher la solution à mon problème. Depuis peu j'ai constaté qu'une autre personne avait un problème similaire avec le driver ov51x toutefois utilisant un kernel et une  webcam différente. C'est pour cela que je me permets de joindre le lien de ce topic également dans celui-ci.

Est-il possible d'émuler le driver windows de la caméra pour le faire marcher sous ubuntu comme peut le faire ndiswrapper avec les drivers de la wifi? Si oui, quel programme utiliser et comment?

J'ai exactement le même problème avec une SpaceCam 320 chez Trust, l'identifiant du chipset est le même que pour ta webcam (05a9:a518). Blocs de couleurs animés sous Koepete, le même chose en noir et blanc sous Camorama (j'ai mis force_palette à 13 => KDE).
Info : cette WebCam fonctionnait sous Dapper avec le driver de RastaGeek après avoir fait un "modprobe ovcamchip". Hélas, cette manip ne marche plus (driver 1.5.1 et noyau 2.6.20-16).

A défaut de mieux, je me répond à moi-même tongue

En fait, c'est assez simple...

Désinstaller les précédents drivers :

sudo rm -R /lib/modules/`uname -r`/extra/

Demander l'installation du paquet ov511-source

sudo apt-get install ov511-source

Lancer module assistant et demander l'installation du module ov511

sudo module-assistant

Charger le module ovcamchip :

sudo modprobe ovcamchip

Débrancher puis rebrancherla webcam.
=> L'image est disponible sous vlc ou aMsn smile

Bravo Ubuntu !
