[Résolu] Laptop et écran externe

Bonjour,

Je sais que le sujet des écrans multiples à souvent été abordé, mais je n'ai pas encore trouvé une réponse à mon (petit) problème.

J'ai un Inspiron auquel je branche via le port VGA un écran externe CRT. Actuellement, j'obtiens la même image sur le Laptop et sur le CRT.

Ce que je souhaiterais pouvoir faire, c'est que, une fois connecté au CRT, l'écran du laptop s'éteigne.

Quelle configuration effectuée pour réaliser cela?

Moi aussi j'ai un peu le meme probleme...
J'ai un D600, j'ai installé la hoary et tout fonctionne bien (malgré que je debute sur linux) J'ai configuré pas mal de truc mais je bloque sur le dua screen...
J'utilise un port replicator et j'ai un ecran externe branché dessus avec souris et clavier et reseau.

Tout fonctionne mais l'ecran plat (LG 17') reste bloqué en 640x480 tandis que le tft lui est bien a 1400x1050.
J'ai essayé tous les tuto de ce site mais rien n'y fait. Je posterais mon xorg.conf demain (je l'ai pas sous la main la)
Pensez vous que cela vienne de la?

Lorsque je change la resolution le bureau s'agrandit mais la resolution reste a 640x480...

Help me j'ai essayé toute la journée (et oué une journée payé a essayé de configurer son laptop ^^

Bon j'ai reussi a configurer mon bordel!

Pour info et pour ceux qui cherche aussi, Voici mon xorg.conf qui est destiné a:
Carte ATI RADEON mobility 9000 (M9)
Dell D600 avec un replicateur de port (ecran LG L1720B)
resolution @ 1280*960

J'ai utiliser en mode non graphique (apres avoir bidouillé le fichier a la main smile

sudo fglrxconfig
J'ai repondu au question, j'ai mis en 1024 car j'avais peur de ne plus avoir  l'interface graphique. en mode CLONE laptop + CRT (prise VGA surtout)
J'ai ensuite modifié a la main le fichier xorg.conf

dans un terminal:
sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
enregistrer et redemarrer la session

j'ai du faire ses 2 operations 5 ou 6 fois avant que cela marche.

Petit nouveau sous Ubuntu...
J'aimerai savoir si quelqu'un a sur un Dell D600 réussit à partager l'écran...
À savoir que quand je sors de l'écran de mon portable j'arrive sur l'autre écran ... Faire une sorte de bureau étendu...
Sur ma gentoo précédemment, je faisais tourner deux instances de X mais c'est bien lourd et je ne pouvais passer des fenêtres d'un écran à l'autre ...
le seul intérêt est de balader le curseur ...

Est-ce que quelqu'un a déjà fait ca?

Moi aussi, je cherche... Dell latitude D510. Je viens de trouver une ditribution avec laquelle le driver i810 passe : Mandriva cooker (pas les autres). Je viens de la mettre à la place de ma ubuntu...
Il me reste à comprendre la configuration de xorg et je plante sur les messages d'erreurs de /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Pour éteindre ton écran de ton portable tappe FN + F6 = noir


fait gaffe !!! parce-que linux fracas
et Ubuntu ? Ça tue !!

J'ai un Dell D510 neuf , mais apres une semaine , je n'ai plus rien sur l'ecran ( aucun affichage:pasde signal video ), par comptre quand
j'utilise un monitor externe tout marche .
