drivers nvidia
Bonjour,
Apres avoir passé une nuit d'install des drivers nvidia je viens demander un peu d'aide. J'ai réalisé l'install comme la plupart des tutos l'indiquent. L'install s'est bien déroulée le driver propriétaire s'est mis en place, il a été reconnu sans problemes. J'ai commencé à activer les effets 3D, le tout marchait plus ou moins...visualistaion des fenetres et effets mais problemes d'affichage des bords. Jusque la je ne m'inquiète pas car je sais que ceci est courant avec nvidia et qu'il aut bidouiller le xorg.conf avec "triple buffer...". Bref tout va bien. Puis redémarrage et la plantage......le serveur X ne part plus....je suis obligé de remettre mon xorg.conf de base. Quelqu'un a une solution ou une procédure de test....merci
PS: ma config : ubuntu 7.10 avec nvidia geforceFX5200

J'ai essayé ta config mais j'ai toujours le meme probleme. Au demarrage:
EE:failed to load module type 1
et : API mismatch version 100.14.19 pour drivers mismatch avec nvidia kernel version

j'ai réessayé une install et voilou ce qui c'est passé....je mets le log de l'install. Mais néanmoins j'avais l'impression que tout marchait car la page nvidia au relancement du serveur x apparaissait. Mais après arret du PC plantage du serveur x.
PS: l'install s'est fait avec le package nvidia.

je reviens un peu à la charge car j'ai vraiment du mal.....
J'ai tout désinstaller via la commande
>sudo apt-get --purge remove nvidia-glx nvidia-glx-legacy nvidia-settings nvidia-kernel-common linux-restricted-modules-`uname -r` linux-restricted-modules-common
J'ai ensuite relancé mon install via le package de nvidia
J'ai ensuite reinstallé le package restricted-modules-generic
j'ai activé mon pilote nvidia.....youpi
tout marche, le serveur X se relance, j'active les effets dans Systeme/Preferences/Apparence
Re youpi les effets marchent.....
Puis j'eteins le PC et au redémarrage le serveur X plante. avec toujours le meme message....
Une petite idée ? Une proposition de test ?

Je ne sais pas si on parle du même problème quand tu parles des "bords" des fenêtres ?
J'ai plusieurs ordis avec cartes nvidia, parfois quand on active l'affichage 3D, la barre des fenêtres disparait... Si c'est le problème, c'est assez simple à résoudre : il faut désinstaller et réinstaller le driver propriétaire nvidia (via le gestionnaire de drivers propriétaires). Chaque fois que je l'ai fait (sur diverses machines avec cartes nvidia) ça fonctionne très bien, pour longtemps !

Bonjour,
pour ma part je suis passé par la gestion des pilotes propriétaires, pour activer l'accélérateur graphique.
Quand je redémarre, j'ai un bel écran noir à la place de la fenêtre de login. Si le novice que je suis a tout compris c'est donc le serveurX qui ne démarre pas.
Quelqu'un aurait il un solution?
Ma configu est un PC portable Toshiba avec un Nvidia Geforce 4 420 Go. Aujourd'hui je suis sous Dusty mais j'avais déjà le problème sous Dapper et Feisty.

Ca revient exactement au meme, c'est le driver qui foire.
Je n'ai aps encore trouvé la solution
(enfin chez moi ca marche mais j'ai pas trop compris comment )
Peut etre que le driver des depot est incomplet.

Bonjour,
J'ai une nVidia Geforce 6100. Les effets 3D du bureau fonctionnaient parfaitement sous Feisty. Lors de mon upgrade à Gutsy, après installation des drivers par le Gestionnaire de Pilotes Propriétaires, le serveur X plante :
"API mismatch : this Nvidia driver has version 100.14.19, but the Nvidia kernel's module's version does not match".
Pour savoir ce qui plante au démarrage, dans Grub, lancer Gusty en recovery mode. A la ligne de commande, tapez :
startx
J'ai résolu le problème sur le forum : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/107646
Pour cela :
sudo gedit /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-common
modifier le code par :
DISABLED_MODULES="nvidia nvidia_legacy"
j'ai retrouvé les effets du bureau. C'est vraiment dommage de devoir faire ces manip pour avoir un linux complètement fonctionnel.

Salut,
Mesob : Tu m'as vraiment vraiment soulagé ! Ca fait deux jours que je me tire les cheuveux, je devenais fou... Installer / réinstaller les drivers nvidia proprio, toucher à xorg-server, xorg.conf, ou tout le reste du système ne changeait rien.
Et au final, il suffisait d'éditer un seul petit fichier.
Il faut le mettre dans la doc !!!
