[RESOLU] Logithèque, téléchargements et Terminal...

Bonjour à toutes et à tous,

En tant que débutant sur Xubuntu, un ami à moi a installé ce système d'exploitation sur mon ordinateur car celui-ci avait eu un problème lorsqu'il était sous Windows.
Mon ordi tourne donc maintenant sous Xubuntu. Désirant installer VLC, JavaRunTime, Adobe Flash Player et d'autres logiciels utilitaires, je me suis rendu sur la logithèque d'Ubuntu.
Lorsque je désire en revanche installer n'importe quel logiciel, la logithèque m'affiche le message suivant :
"Cette action nécessitera l'installation de paquets depuis des dépôts non authentifiés".
Quand je clique simplement sur "Valider", il refuse simplement d'installer le logiciel demandé.

Je me suis donc renseigné sur la manière de remédier à ce problème. La plupart des topics me conseillant donc de taper la commande "sudo apt-get update" ou "sudo apt-get safe upgrade" da,s le terminal, Xubuntu me demande en retour le mot de passe de mon compte utilisateur. Sauf, que, parce que cela aurait été trop beau, à ce moment précis, mon ordinateur ne désire pas afficher les caractères que contiennent mon mot de passe, alors qu'il accepte tout à fait la commande et le message que j'écris après les trois tentatives d'authentification (en appuyant directement sur OK et sans rien écrire, du coup).

Ma requête est complètement stupide, mais, ni moi, ni mon ami, ne savons comment résoudre ce problème.
Je vous remercie d'avoir pris le temps de lire mon message de détresse, et d'essayer de me secourir.

Bonjour

Ton ami abuse un peut à t'installer un os sans le connaitre .
Tu n'as pas de problemes , tu ne verras jamais ton mot de passe en terminal , il ne s'affiche pas c'est une question de sécurité .
Si tu dois rentrer ton mot de passe en terminal il te faut le faire en "aveugle" , c'est normal .
Pour ton soucis de logiciels qui "refusent" de s'installer j'ai un peut de mal à comprendre , logiquement , un utilisateur lambda sans connaissance particuliere qui utilise la logitheque ne peut pas avoir ce genre de problemes car par défaut les dépots activés sont authentifiés.

Pourrais-tu nous donner le retour des commandes suivantes :

cat /etc/lsb-release

Et

cat /etc/apt/sources.list

Ainsi que

ls /etc/apt/sources.list.d

Apparement tu as ajouté le ppa de steam , il se peut que tu'n'est pas importé la clée gpg
Pour en être sur renvois moi le retour de

sudo apt-get update

Si c'est bien ce dépot , la doc steam et le ppa  nous indique la démarche à suivre
À confirmer donc , sinon en solution on fera :

sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys B05498B7
echo "deb http://repo.steampowered.com/steam/ precise steam" | sudo tee -a  /etc/apt/sources.list.d/steam.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install steam-launcher

Pour la suite si l'erreur est corrigé on met à jour xubuntu et le systeme :

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Et pour les logiciels que tu souhaites installer :

sudo apt-get install vlc adobe-flashplugin xubuntu-restricted-extras libdvdcss2

Ce qui t'installera donc : vlc , quelques codecs "propriétaires" , la capacitée à lire des dvd et le plugin flash . Tu dois avoir openjdk d'installé par défaut ( java "libre" ) , mais il est possible d'installer oracle -java , à voir selon les besoins .
Pour le moment j'attend le retour de l'update pour savoir si cela vient bien de steam car je trouve etrange ce ppa alors que officiellement la source doit être ajouter à ton source.list .
Je suis moi aussi sous xubuntu precise ...

La solution :

sudo apt-get clean
sudo mv /var/lib/apt/lists /var/lib/apt/lists.bak
sudo mkdir -p /var/lib/apt/lists/partial
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

retourne le résultat de 

sudo apt get upgrade

  et 

sudo apt-get install vlc

Mettez [résolu] dans le titre quand le problème est réglé (cliquez sur "modifier" dans votre 1er message).

Comme l'indique le retour tu n'as plus d'erreur , il te reste à mettre à jour et installer tes softs :

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install vlc adobe-flashplugin xubuntu-restricted-extras libdvdcss2

Je te conseil également d'installer synaptic , que je prefere trés largement à la logitheque que j'ai désinstallé :

sudo apt-get install synaptic

Ce gestionnaire est trés puissant , tu le trouvera , si tu l'install , dans menu->systeme->gestionnaire de paquet .

Si ton sujet est résolu , réédites ton premier post et modifie le titre en ajoutant [RESOLU]
