(RESOLU )Ubuntu UEFI installè Pas de GRUB ?
Bonjour!! !
Sur mon nouvel ordinateur de bureau acheté sans OS installé .
j'ai installé Ubuntu 13.10 en UEFI sans trop de problèmes
Par contre au démarrage de l'ordinateur ce dernier ne me propose pas de Grub , et démarre instantanément
sur Ubuntu !
par contre si au démarrage j’appuie sur la touche F11 qui est celle pour choisir , si je démarre sur
un cd ou disque dur, j'ai Ubuntu proposé la aussi
je signale que la machine fonctionne très bien
Avez vous le même démarrage ou comment faire pour afficher le grub en cas de nécessité ?

Bonjour,
Le menu de GRUB n’apparaît pas quand l'on a un seul O.S. sur le PC. C'est donc normal dans ton cas.
Pour faire apparaître le menu de GRUB, maintient la touche majuscule enfoncée au démarrage du PC.
OS: Ubuntu 22.04 64 bits + Windows 11 64 bits en dualboot (BIOS UEFI, Secure Boot activé et table de partitions GPT)

Que me conseil tu au passage de la 14.04 mettre a jour ?
ou tout refaire , sachant ,que sauf erreur de ma par ce sera unr LTS ?

Tu n'es pas obligé de faire ce que je propose.
Tu peux très bien faire une mise-à-niveau vers Ubuntu 14.04. Le problème, c'est que ce n'est pas toujours fiable. Des fois ça passe, des fois ça casse.

Je suis partisan de réinstaller Maintenant
par contre , j'ai installé Ubuntu UEFI de manière manuelle
je veux dire que j'ai installé avec un partitionnement manuel
j'ai passé mon hdd en GPT et crée la partition EFI avec un gparted récent
car je voulais garder un morceau de mon disque dur, pour une autre version éventuellement
a la réinstallation je vais retrouver mes partitions, mais je ne sais pas , si la petite partition en fat 32
il faudra que je la reformate ?

Si une partition EFI est présente, l'installateur de Ubuntu installe automatiquement ce qu'il faut dedans en écrasant les parties (ça fait mal) de Ubuntu qui s'y trouvent. Dans ton post #1, on voit ceci :

/EFI/ubuntu/shimx64.efiCe que je veux dire, c'est que MokManager.efi, grubx64.efi et shimx64.efi seront réécrits par l'installateur. Tu n'as rien à faire de spécial pour cela et tout ce que tu pourrais sélectionner dans le champ chargeur d'amorçage (en bas de cette fenêtre) ne sera pas pris en compte parce que l'installateur ne s'occupera que de réécrire dans la partition EFI déjà existante.

Si c'est juste pour tester cette autre version temporairement, il n'y a pas de précautions à prendre à mon avis. Par contre, si tu souhaites laisser en permanence cette autre version, moi je suggère de ne pas créer de partition /home ni pour la présente installation ni pour la future version que tu installeras mais une Partition de partage de données en EXT4
L'idée, c'est que cette partition serve uniquement à du stockage de données et qu'elle ne soit pas liée à une installation plutôt qu'une autre. Dans ce concept, une installation de Ubuntu se limite à une partition racine (il n'y a pas de partition /home). Exemple avec 2 installations différentes de Ubuntu :
- partition EFI
- partition racine Ubuntu 1 (EXT4) environ 20 Go
- partition swap (commune à tous les Ubuntu)
- Partition de partage de données (EXT4) qui occupe toute la place disponible
- partition racine Ubuntu 2 (EXT4) environ 20 Go
si tu dois rajouter un troisième Ubuntu, tu fais maigrir la Partition de partage de données, tu crées une partition racine pour un Ubuntu 3

cela me parait excellant !
Je peux prendre ma partition racine actuel pour Ubuntu 1 devient racine de 1
-----------et prendre le home actuel pour devenir Ubuntu 2 devient racine de 2
et le restant pour Partition de partage de données
et garder ma swap
comme cela je n'est rien a changer sur mes partitions .
ce n'est pas pour tester c'est pour avoir disons une LTS + une autre version
