[Tuto] dual boot win8 / ubuntu14.4 sur toshiba satellite P50-A-14
Salut à tous,
Après avoir pas mal galéré, j'ai réussi à installer un dual boot entre windows8 et Ubuntu14.4 avec un grub qui fonctionne !
Voici la procédure que j'ai suivi pour y arriver
(Merci à malbo et tototralala qui m'ont apporté les solutions clefs dans différentes discussions)
Mon Ordinateur
Toshiba Satellite P50-A-14P
Référence modèle : PSPMHE
Récapitulatif des étapes
0) Création d'une clefs bootable Ubuntu14.4
1) Clef de restauration Win8 avec l'utilitaire préinstallé par Toshiba (pour pouvoir remettre à l'état d'usine) (ATTENTION il faut une clef de plus de 16go)
2) Libérer de l'espace dans windows pour pouvoir créer des partitions pour linux lors de l'installation (dans windows, aller dans rechercher, taper "paritions", sélectionner "créer et formater des paritions de disque dur", puis réduire la partition C:
3) Installation ubuntu 14.4 en manuel en bootant sur une clef Ubuntu14.4LTS (A l'époque j'avais appris avec un tuto du site du zéro), celui là fait l'affaire
4) A partir de cette étape, Je peux booter sur ubuntu via windows tel que indiqué dans ce tuto de malbo
5) Du coup, j'ai fait un petit coup de Clonezilla pour pouvoir tout remettre rapidement (création d'une autre clefs bootable sur clonezilla)
6) Sauvegarde du MBR via boot repair histoire de pouvoir tout réinitialisé si je passe en mode modification manuelle
7) Avec boot repair
J'ai fait un coup de "réparation recommandée"
... malheureusement, l'ordinateur boot toujours sur windows8 par défaut

8) J'ai mis la priorité du boot sur ubuntu tel qu'indiqué dans changer la priorité du boot dans ubuntu

9) L'étape décisive de la réussite !
Là, je me suis résolu à attaquer en mode "modification manuelle"
A) Tout d'abord, j'ai lancé un boot repair en "réparation recommandée"
B)Ensuite, je me suis inspiré de la procédure décrite par tototralala à cette adresse post #6
J'y ai apporté une petite modif perso car chez moi, les fichiers à modifier étaient sur sda2 et pas sur sda3 comme dans le cas de tototralala
(CF détails du boot apportés par boot repair)
#Preparation
sudo mount /dev/sda6 /mnt/ #monte le / du systeme a réparer dans /mnt du live usb
sudo mount /dev/sda2 /mnt/boot/efi/ #monte la partition de boot dans /boot/efi du système a réparer
for i in /dev /dev/pts /proc /sys; do sudo mount -B ${i} /mnt${i}; done # ainsi que d'autres répertoires necessaires
sudo modprobe efivars # charge les variables efi
sudo chroot /mnt # utilise maintenant le systeme a reparer plutot que le live usb

# Copie
cd /boot/efi/EFI/
cp -ar Boot BKPBoot # fait une copie de backup du repertoire Boot
rm -r Boot # supprime Boot
cp -ar ubuntu Boot # et le remplace par ubuntu

Et là, après l'écran toshiba, je démarre avec un manifique grub qui me permet de sélectionner ubuntu ou windows !
Moment intense de joie, de bonheur et de satisfaction après de nombreuses heures de galère !
Une fois de plus, le fabuleux pouvoir de la documentation a triomphé du mal (le monde propriétaire de windows8)
ATTENTION : Le bug windows de la "veille prolongée" alors qu'on croyait l'éteindre
Si dans windows, on sélectionne "éteindre", cela met le système d'exploitation en mode de veille, ce qui empêche d'avoir le grub au prochain redémarrage.
Mais dès lors qu'on clique sur "redémarrer", le grub revient.

Bonjour,
Il y a quelque chose qui n'est pas clair : à l'étape 7, après un Boot-Repair, tu dis que l'ordinateur boote toujours sur windows8 par défaut. Pourtant tu arrives bien à démarrer sur Ubuntu puisque tu as réalisé le Boot-Info depuis une session du Ubuntu installé sur disque dur. J'en conclus que tu as utilisé un menu de démarrage proposé par ton ordi si on appuie sur la touche F12 pendant que TOSHIBA s'affiche sur l'écran. Et c'est comme ça que tu as pu démarrer sur Ubuntu lors cette étape 7. Tu peux confirmer ?

Bonjour malbo
Non, je n'ai pas pu utiliser le menu de démarrage F12 car celui-ci ne me permet que de choisir le support de boot (usb, HDD/SSD, ODD, Reseau)
Pour lancer Ubuntu, je suis passé par windows, (dès l'étape 4 dans mon tuto) via l'option démarrage avancé, qui me permettait de booter sur ubuntu (comme précisé dans ton tuto http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p15030301 )
Par la suite, sur la config en production, j'ai réalisé un crash test pour vérifier que je pouvais réinstaller mon image clonezilla.
Malheureusement, ubuntu n'était plus reconnu et impossible de redémarrer via windows, cependant j'ai pu restaurer le grub via un live usb sur lequel j'avais installé boot repair. (J'ai suivi mon tuto à partir de l'étape 7, mais sur un live usb)
A présent tout refonctionne à nouveau !

OK j'avais zappé l'étape 4. A présent que tout fonctionne bien, pourrais-tu refaire un Boot-Info depuis ta session du Ubuntu installé ? Motif : j'ai des questions à te poser sur ton fonctionnement mais je souhaiterais le faire sur la base d'un Boot-Info à jour sinon je risque de ne rien comprendre.

Par contre entre temps, j'ai fait un peu évoluer la config :
j'ai fait un test de remise en paramètre d'usine avant de tout refaire pour être certain de bien tout comprendre. Du coup, tu vas y trouver une partition supplémentaire en ntfs dans le Boot-info

A présent, peux-tu confirmer que ton ordi démarre par défaut sur le menu Grub ? Et si oui, est-ce que tu arrives bien à démarrer Windows en sélectionnant l'entrée "Windows Boot Manager (on /dev/sda2)" de ce menu Grub ?
En passant par le menu de démarrage (appui sur la touche F12), as-tu bien toujours "usb, HDD/SSD, ODD, Reseau" ? Et par ce menu (F12), tu confirmes que tu ne vois aucune entrée "ubuntu" ni aucune entrée "Windows Boot Manager" ?

Je confirme tout !
- Si je démarre et que je fais F12 au niveau de l'écran toshiba, j'arrive sur un menu allégé qui permet uniquement de choisir entre "usb, HDD/SSD, ODD, Reseau" et il n'y a aucune entrée ubuntu
- Mais ce n'est pas grave car si je démarre sans faire f12, après l'écran toshiba, j'ai un grub qui s'affiche avec ubuntu sélectionné par défaut et windows (sur sda2) que je peux sélectionner. les deux sont parfaitement fonctionnels

A ton avis, on peut penser que le démarrage se fait par défaut sur /EFI/Boot/bootx64.efi suite à tes manips de l'étape 9 de ton post #1 ? Si oui, depuis une session live de Ubuntu, il suffit de renommer /EFI/Boot/bootx64.efi en /EFI/Boot/bootx64_efi de sorte que ce fichier ne soit plus reconnu par ton ordi au démarrage et on devrait voir que le démarrage par défaut ne se fait plus sur le menu Grub. Après cela, il suffirait de refaire le truc à l'envers depuis une session live de Ubuntu (renommer /EFI/Boot/bootx64_efi en /EFI/Boot/bootx64.efi) pour retrouver le fonctionnement actuel avec démarrage par défaut sur le menu Grub.
