[résolu] grub 7 / 14.04 / 14.04 / 7 ne démarre plus
Bonsoir
petit problème de boot pour Windows 7 après nouvelle installation de 2 versions 14.04
Initialement : 7 / 12.04 / 12.04 (secours) ---> tout fonctionnait parfaitement en triple boot depuis un bout de temps
ce soir : 7 / 14.04 / 14.04(secours) ---> 7 apparaît dans le grub mais ne démarre plus et me répond ceci :
error: file not found
grub rescue>_
J'ai essayé "grub-repair" sans modifier les réglages par défauts, mais pas de changement
Je précise que je n'ai pas touché à windows 7. Les 2 versions 14.04 fonctionnent normalement.
Bios EFI, partition en GPT, les 3 systèmes d'exploitations sont sur le SSD (sda) et le HDD (sdb) sert pour les documents...

Ton Boot-Info est là (je l'ai débarrassé de milliers de lignes parasites commençant par "grub-install" dues probablement à un bug de Boot-Repair) :

Bonjour malbo
et non, justement c'est ce qui m'inquiète, par le bios et le grub, l'entrée "Windows Boot Manager" de windows 7 apparaît bien mais j'arrive pour les 2 sur l'écran noir aussitôt avec "error... grub rescue>_"
En fait le problème est apparu immédiatement après la 1ère installation de 14.04(secours).
Manipulations dans l'ordre :
1- suppression et redimensionnement de sda4 (12.04) et sda5 (12.04secours) avec gparted
2- installation de 14.04(secours) sur sda5 + mises à jour et tout -------> grub OK mais impossible de lancer 7
3- installation de 14.04 sur sda4 + mises à jour et tout -------> grub OK mais impossible de lancer 7

Peux-tu donner la taille de ces deux fichiers: Je crains qu'ils aient la même taille.

PS; En secours de ubuntu 14.04, j'aurais conservé ubuntu 12.04.
Si ton réseau ne marche plus en 14.04 alors qu'il marchait en 12.04 tout était paré, Idem pour pas mal d'autres choses.

entièrement d'accord avec toi, c'est ce que je fais d'habitude, mais ce pc n'étant pas le miens, je voulais tout faire d'un coup ! Et comme ça a merdouillé dès la 1ère installation, si le grub a "grillé" un fichier à 7... ça n'aurait pas changé grand chose
En revanche les 14.04 fonctionnent parfaitement, seul le lancement de 7 est "grillé".

Je te propose un rapide essai en partant du principe que le fichier /boot/efi//EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bkbootmgfw.efi est le bon.
sudo mv /boot/efi/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi /boot/efi/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi.BAD
sudo cp /boot/efi/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bkbootmgfw.efi /boot/efi/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi
ps; ces lignes viennent d'être corrigées suite à une erreur dans l'écriture.
donc à puirori elles ne résolvent rien.
et boot.
PS. Ceci pour éviter une 'grosse colère' de Malbo contre la présence du fichier ' /boot/efi//EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bkbootmgfw.efi'
Je pense que cette manipulation suffit, Mais pas sur si ce fichier était vraiment obligatoire pour ce type d'ordinateur.
S'il était obligatoire tu aurais eu des difficultés à démarrer windows lors de la première installation. Chose que tu ne mentionnes pas.

Des explications please, car là je ne comprends pas pourquoi faire ça et ce que ça modifie réellement au niveau de la séquence de boot ?
Et pourquoi je ne pouvais pas démarrer 7 par le bios (j'ai essayé et ça refonctionne aussi), qui lui est sensé être "indépendant", non ?

L'explication, n'est pas facile.
1) Certains bios ne respectent pas la bonne logique officielle et ils décrètent qu'ils ne booteront que sur
/boot/efi/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi
après tout pourquoi pas...
2) Des malins voulaient que le bios boote sur
/boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/Boot/grubx64.efi
3) Une logique que je hais( Il suffit de ne pas comprendre) fais que dans un script du grub on récupère pas mal d'informations dont le fait que pour booter windows c'est dans le fichier /boot/efi/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi
4) Des personnes astucieuses, ont pensé que lorsqu'on était en présence d'un bios qui refusait de mettre en route le dual boot
il suffisait de copier le fichier /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/Boot/grubx64.efi dans le fichier /boot/efi/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi
Cela s'appelle la méthode coucou....
Et bien cela marchait parfaitement bien ...... jusqu'à ce que cela me marche plus....
On a pensé que windows remettait a jour de temps en temps son fichier de démarrage.
Et on s'est rendu compte que ubuntu livrait de temps en temps ( en fait pas loin de 5 versions en 3 mois) un nouveau noyau.
et qu'a cette occasion il refabriquait une nouvelle structure ( le point 3) mais ce qu'il croyait être windows dans le fichier
/boot/efi/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi était en fait /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/Boot/grubx64.efi
donc cela ne marchait pas très bien
Alors on a décidé de modifier la logique du point 3..
Mais entre tout ce changement, il y a eu une flottaison. Je suis content pour toi que le bios de ton micro ne soit pas borné.

PS: Cerise sur le gâteau, boot-repair a généralisé cette technique même lorsque c'est inutile. C'est pour cela que je continue de l'appeler boot-destroy
En attendant d'avoir un vrai boot-SPY qui listera sans rien modifier.
