Pc reste longtemps sur la toute première page au démarrage

Bonjour
J'ai ubuntu 14.04 et windows 7 en dual boot sur mon pc de bureau. Quand je le démarre, depuis qq temps, il reste beaucoup plus longtemps sur la première page, avant que je choisisse entre les 2 systèmes. Ensuite, une fois choisi ubuntu, il met pas mal de temps à venir.
Que puis-je faire pour éviter ça ? Merci

Salut,

On va vérifier s'il s'agit d'un manque de place disque et/ou mémoire.

Une fois démarré sous Ubuntu, tu lances un terminal. Dans ce terminal, tu entres les commandes suivantes :

free -h
df -h
df -i
dpkg -l | grep -Ei "linux-headers|linux-image"

Le retour des commandes est à indiquer entre balises code (bouton bt_pre.png au dessus de la zone de saisie.

Il n'y a pas de problème du côté de la place mémoire ou disque.

Du coup, je n'ai pas d'autre idée pour rechercher la cause du ralentissement. neutral

Il bien un temps un peu long (22 secondes) pour le "grub-timeout". Je pense que tu peux le limiter à 8 secondes. ce qui te laissera le temps de choisir le système à démarrer, sans que ce soit trop long.

Installe "gksu" avant de passer la commande suivante :

sudo apt-get install gksu

Pour modifier le fichier :

gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub

Remplace GRUB_TIMEOUT="22" par GRUB_TIMEOUT="8", puis enregistre et ferme le fichier.
Pour valider la modification :

sudo update-grub

Mais c'est surtout une fois le choix fait qu'Ubuntu est plus long à démarrer qu'avant. Et aussi la toute première page quand j'allume l'ordinateur

Une fois Ubuntu démarré, entre la commande suivante dans un terminal :

dmesg

Le résultat est à coller entre balises code.

Il y a peut-être un problème de disque dur. Entre les commandes suivantes et donne le retour :

sudo apt-get install smartmontools
sudo smartctl --smart=on --offlineauto=on --saveauto=on /dev/sda

Il n'y pas de problème visible du côté du disque dur.

Par contre, il semble que tu aies bidouillé dans les paquets utiles au fonctionnement du système.
Peux-tu me donner le retour de ces commandes ?

Au vu de certains messages lorsque tu passes la commande "sudo apt-get update", je pense que tu as installé, un jour, un peu n'importe quoi comme paquets. En gros, il semble que tu aies mélangé des paquets de système 32 bits avec des paquets 64 bits. Je n'ai pas l'intention de me lancer dans une tentative de réparer ceci.

La solution plus propre est donc de réinstaller ton système avec une version 14.04.1 (32 ou 64 bits selon ce que ta machine supporte et ce que tu souhaites). A priori une version 64 bits est envisageable. Si tu as un doute, procède à un test en live avant d'installer. Si tu n'as pas de partition /home séparée, sauvegarde tes données sur un disque externe.

Pas besoin de désinstaller, il suffit d'installer la nouvelle version par dessus l'ancienne.
