Installer Lubuntu sur un pc HP récent avec Windows 8 en mode UEFI
Si vous avez, comme moi , quelques difficultés à installer LUBUNTU 14 sur un portable HP récent avec Windows 8 pré-installé avec un BIOS UEFI, voici comment j'ai finalement réussi à résoudre le problème:
J'ai d'abord installé LUBUNTU 14 sur le PC en bootant sur une clé usb live.
J'ai dû pour cela au préalable désactiver le boot UEFI et activer le boot "legacy" dans le bios,
car sinon la clé n'était pas reconnue et je pouvais pas booter sur la clé.
Linux s'installait apparemment bien, cependant le PC redémarrait automatiquement sur Window 8, et je ne parvenais pas à démarrer Lubuntu sur le DDur, à moins de le lancer à partir d'une clé, en utilisant l'excellent logiciel "grub-customizer".
J'ai d'abord suivi ce qui était conseillé dans la doc, en essayant le passer lubuntu en mode UEFI en utilisant l'excellent logiciel "Boot-repair", mais je n'ai pas réussi:
Boot-repair me demande de régler le BIOS en mode UEFI, mais si je fais celà, je ne peux plus booter sur aucun support extene ( cle usb ou CD).
Finalement j'ai trouvé une solution en réinstallant un GRUB en mode "legacy" en utilisant Boot-repair:
Voici comment j'ai procédé sur Boot-repair :
1) Boot-repair demande une connexion internet active
2) Boot-repair demande de créer une partition séparée de la partition linux, >200Mo, avec le drapeux "BIO_GRUB" => cela peut être fait avec l'excellent logiciel "Gparted"
démarrer Boot-repair, puis aller dans "options avancées"
- cocher l'option "ré-installer grub "
emplacement de GRUB:
- boot par défaut: OS actuellement installé ( Lubuntu 14)
- cocher l'option "installer grub dans sda"
options de GRUB:
- cocher l'option "grub legacy": Boot-repair affiche un message qualifiant ce grub d'obsolète, mais çà fonctionne qu'en même)
- cliquer sur "appliquer"
=> Boot-repair affiche ensuite des commandes que l'on doit taper (ou copier/coller) dans console et exécuter en mode sudo (ces commandes téléchargent des paquets...)
puis Boot-repair affiche, (si tout se passe bien!), le message: "la réparation du boot à été effectuée..."
Sur ce, vous pouvez redémarrer le pc, et booter sur linux.
Dans mon cas çà ce passe de la façon suivante:
- "escape" au démarrage pour ouvrir un premier menu
- je choisi "F9" pour aller dans le menu de boot
- dans le menu de boot je peux choisir "boot manager" pour lancer Windows 8 ou "démarrer sur le DDur"
=> je choisi de démarrer sur le DDur, ce qui me lance Grub puis Lubuntu sur le DDur.
Je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit la méthode la plus orthodoxe, mais en tout cas ça marche, et çà me permet de pouvoir lancer Lubuntu sans devoir utiliser une clé usb pour celà à chaque fois.
Je vois cependant un inconvénient: le bios est du coup paramétré en mode "légacy", avec sécureboot désactivé, et donc le boot est peut être moins sécurisé...

1) Depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé, peux-tu faire un Boot-Info et donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse ?
Motif : j'ai du mal à comprendre comment fonctionne ton dual-boot.
2) pourrais-tu donner le nom complet de ton modèle d'ordi et son fabricant ?

J'ai pu faire un boot-info depuis la session de Lubuntu 14 installée sur le DDur, dont voici l'adresse:

Il s'agit en fait d'ordinateurs utilisés à mon travail, dont je fais la maintenance.

C'est infâme d'utiliser Grub Legacy pour faire tourner une version récente de Ubuntu. Je pense que tu en es arrivé là parce que tu n'as pas tenu compte des indications de la doc 2.3 Versions d'Ubuntu démarrables en mode EFI qui précise qu'il est impératif d'utiliser une version 64 bits de Ubuntu alors que la version que tu as utilisée est une version 32 bits comme on peut voir dans cet extrait :

Cela peut aussi se voir ici: Dans le contexte d'une installation 64 bits, la ligne qui contient la partition de boot indique 64 alors qu'ici elle indique 32...

Bonjour,
je remercie Malbo et Bougron pour leurs réponses et les infos.
Soit, je me doutais bien que je n'avais pas tout compris...
Cependant, le problème était que quand j'essayais d'installer avec le bios en mode EFI,
je ne pouvais plus booter sur un support externe.
Je suppose donc qu'une clé usb avec la version d'installation 64 bits est mieux reconnue par le BIOS EFI?
J'essaierais dès que possible!
