Problème de Boot
Bonjour,
J'ai un PC Packard-Bell vieux de 8/9 ans avec un HD de 110 Go, ram =2Go, 32bits.
Je suis actuellement en dual-boot avec windows Xp -sp3 et Ubuntu 12.04LTS et ca marchait bien depuis environ 3 ans.
J'ai voulu installer Toutoulinux sur le HD et je n'y suis pas arrivé, et donc j'ai remis la partition
que toutoulinux avait utilisé en 'non alloué.'
Mais depuis, le Grub a été affecté, je me peux pas me connecter à windows, j'arrive dans un environnement qui n'est pas le mien, et je n'arrive plus à me connecter à Ubuntu avec l'entrée Grub normale, il faut que j'utilise une entrée grub de dépannage( recovery je crois). Et finalement aprés être passé par la console, fait 'exit' dans la console, fait ok dans un menu intermédiaire, ça marche, j'arrive bien sur ma page d'accueil Ubuntu. (je ne sais pas si je me fait bien comprendre)
J'ai lu quelque part qu'une nouvelle install écrasait la dernier point d'entrée de grub, mais
comme c' est un point délicat, je n'ose pas trop toucher !

J'ai donc lancé boot-repair
il a bien fonctionné, mais cela n'a rien changé :
Pour windows, j'arrive dans windows avec une fenetre d'avertissement ' Windows ne peut pas créer un répertoire utilisateur' dans un écran bleu sans icones (comme avant)
Pour ubuntu, exactement pareil aussi

Cela m'était arrivé il y 3 ans quand j'essayé de mettre ubuntu en dual boot et en relisant mes messages,

Bonjour.
Pour Windows: Si il boot, mais ne peut pas charger le système. Çà présente des messages d'erreurs Windows.
Boot-repair ne peut plus rien faire. Il ne restaure que le MBR dans le secteur de boot du disque, pour lancer le chargement et démarrage de Windows. Si le boot se fait, mais que le système ne peut pas se charger, c'est que le boot loader (chargeur de démarrage) est cassé. Il faut réparer avec les outils Windows.
Pour le démarrage de Ubuntu.
On peut avoir un nouveau boot info stp?. Merci.

C'est toi qui a modifié le contenu du fichier de configuration de Grub. /etc/default/grub pour le personnaliser comme ceci ?

Je suis venu dans 'Grub Customiser' pour changer la police de caractères,
à part ca, je ne pense pas avoir toucher autre chose aprés avoir passé le boot repair.

Je te propose d'utiliser l'Option "Réinstaller grub en le purgeant" de Boot-Repair.

Tu devrais retrouver un menu grub non customisé.

Bonsoir,
J'ai lancé Boot-repair, avec l'option "Réinstaller grub en le purgeant"
pour pas qu'il y ait d'ambiguité, ci-dessous les images des différentes fenêtres de Bot-Repair :(j'ai perdu un peu de temps
je voulais mettre dans une seule image)
Ca a bien tourné, je me suis retrouvé avec un grub tout neuf, avec 5 entrées, mais malheureusement, cela n'a strictement rien changé au problème initial, exactement les mêmes phénomènes.désolé.

Pour le démarrage de Windows, on ne peut plus rien faire depuis Boot-Repair.
Pour le démarrage de Ubuntu, on voit dans le dernier boot info. Que les fichiers de configuration de Grub que tu avais customisé, ont été remplacé par ceux par défaut.
On retrouve ;

Et un fichier /etc/default/grub habituel.
Je ne comprend pas pourquoi Ubuntu est encore obligé de démarrer en recovery?.

Plus exactement : pour avoir Ubuntu, il faut que je le lance en mode recovery,
Si je le lance en mode normal, le processus s'arrète sur écran tout noir dont je ne sas pas
comment sortir (sauf éteindre le pc)

Au lancement en mode recovery, l'option " nomodeset" est passée au noyau. (voir ci dessous).
On va essayer de passer l'option " nomodeset" au noyau sur la première ligne du menu Grub.
Tu lances ton Ubuntu par le recovery.
Tu ouvres le fichier /boot/grub/grub.cfg en root avec gedit.
sudo gedit /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Avec Boot-Repair on réinstalle Grub en passant par les "Options avancées" . On passe l'option "nomodeset" au noyau définitivement .
Alors comme lorsque tu as réinstallé grub en le purgeant.
Dans l'onglet "Options de grub"
Tu coches uniquement la ligne ; Ajouter une option au noyau.
Tu choisi "nomodeset "
Tu fais "Appliquer" .
Et tu redémarres, tu dis ce qui se passe.

normal.
Le mode recovery fonctionne toujours de la même façon.

J'ai lu, un peu vite, l'ensemble de la discussion. Il semble que grub a été correctement réinstallé. Le problème viendrait donc plutôt des fichiers, vmlinuz-3.2.0-92-generic-pae ou plus vraisemblablement initrd.img-3.2.0-92-generic-pae.
Je te conseillerais donc de redémarrer ton PC à partir d'un support externe pour reconstruire ce fichier.
Cependant, avant de le reconstruire, fais-en un résumé avec md5sum, pour pouvoir vérifier que les commandes ont bien créé un fichier différent.
Au total, voilà ma recommandation :
sudo mount UUID=1cf79ecd-1cb3-43cb-8ec7-930146644fd5 /mnt

En fait Arbiel te dit de faire les manips qu'il propose en session live. Pas depuis ton Ubuntu installé.
Dans le dernier boot info, je ne vois pas d'anomalies. Grub est bien réinstallé. et l'option "nomodeset" aussi.
Si çà démarre toujours à partir du recovery, " je donne ma langue au chat! " ...
On va voir ce que donne la manip proposée par Arbiel.

Voilà,
J'ai passé les commandes et relancé le pc
(Ouf, cela va mieux en azerty !)
Je me suis un peu précipité apres le choix 'ubuntu normal' à un moment donné j'ai eu
la main en face de la commande Initramfs> et j'ai fait exit, et j'aurais du attendre, car la page d'accueil d'Ubntu est apparue mais avec la souris bloquée.
J'ai fait un' sudo shurtdown now' dans un terminal , mais le pc ne s'est pas éteind, j'ai du l'éteindre en tenant réset appuyé 5 s.
Evidemment, à la 2eme relance, c'est revenu comme avant : écran noir, impossible d'en sortir
J'ai relancé en mode recovery, et cela se passe aussi comme avant, mais j'arrive à me connecter et j'envoie ce message depuis ce mode.

L'accés à Ubuntu en mode normal fonctionne mais :
- Il ne faut pas que je fasse 'Enter' dans le menu grub pour accélérer le choix
- je passe toujours par un écran intermédiaire ci-dessous :
et en faisant exit, j'arrive dans la page d'acceuil d'Ubuntu
Je n'ai rien changé depuis mon post précédent, (sauf que je ne valide pas le choix, j'attends 5 s)
Ca me convient comme cela, reste le Pb de windows

Effectivement, je me suis trompé et je te prie de m'en excuser. Le fichier initrd.img est localisé en /boot et non à la racine /. Ceci explique les deux messages d'erreur en retour des commandes
md5sum -b /mnt/initrd.img-3.2.0-92-generic-pae
qui auraient dû être
md5sum -b /mnt/boot/initrd.img-3.2.0-92-generic-pae
Ces deux commandes avaient comme seul but de vérifier que le fichier créé par le code que je t'ai suggéré était différent du précédent. Nous n'en saurons donc jamais rien.
Le dernier message que tu as publié indique l'absence de la partition 1cf79ecd-1cb3-43cb-8ec7-930146644fd5 (/dev/disk/by-uuid… does not exist). T'en expliquer la raison dépasse mes compétences puisque c'est bien là l'uuid de ta partition /dev/sda5.
Je ne peux donc plus que te conseiller de consulter quelqu'un de plus expérimenté en cherchant dans les discussions relatives au démarrage qui tu estimeras apte à te venir en aide. Tu peux, pour établir le contact, utiliser la messagerie privée pour le ou la solliciter.

Ok, Arbiel, pas de soucis, en fait à ce jour, ce qui m'ennuie le plus, c 'est l'accès à WindowsXp
je fais encore quelques 'bricoles' avec, et je n'ai jamais fait de disquette de sauvegarde du système.
Je pourrais faire une restauration, mais il y aurais dix millers de mise à jour à faire !
