[Résolu] Partition Ubuntu / windows

Bonjour,
J'ai installé Ubuntu récemment. Je suis archi débutant. J'aimerai avoir de l'aide de la communauté au sujet des partitions.

Comme proposé pour l'installation, j'ai alloué >8Go pour ubuntu. J'ai une partition de 10Go (ext4) pour mes donnée et il y a la partition swap de 3Go et quelques.
J'ai vite atteint les 10 Go. Donc je souhaite maintenant augmenter ma partition Ubuntu et réduire celle de windows.

Ce que j'ai compris, c'est que je ne dois pas être sur ubuntu pour pouvoir agrandir celle-ci. Car elle est en cours d'utilisation..
Je sais qu'on peut passer par gparted avec un USB par exemple.
Mais je me suis dit que je peux aller sur mon windows et faire les manip sur ma partition ubuntu a partir de windows.

....Alors là je ne comprends plus.... sur windows j'ai pu réduire ma partition windows alors qu'elle était en cours d'utilisation. J'ai libéré 100Go dans une partition 'non allouée'.
Et à contrario je ne peux rien faire avec ma partition ubuntu de 10Go si ce n'est la supprimer.

1/ J'aimerai savoir pourquoi je ne peux pas joeur avec ma partition ubuntu a partir de windows ? et pourquoi j'ai pu réduire le volume de ma partition windows alors qu'elle était en cours d'utilisation ?
2/ Autre chose, un peu rien à voir : sur ubuntu j'ai le dossier OS pour accéder à mes documents de Windows. Comment on peut faire pour accéder aux documents d'ubuntu à partir de windows ?

1/ Windows ne reconnaît pas les partitions Linux, tout ce qu'il peut en faire c'est les supprimer. Il est incapable de les redimensionner ou de les créer.
En revanche Windows permet de redimensionner, jusqu'à un certain point, les partitions NTFS "à chaud" (en cours d'utilisation), ce qui n'est pas permis sur Linux avec le système de fichiers ext4.

2/ Comme dit en 1., Windows ne reconnaît pas les partitions Linux, donc il ne pourra pas lire tes partitions Ubuntu. Je crois qu'il existe des pilotes à installer, permettant à Windows d'accéder aux partitions ext4, mais je ne sais pas si ils sont fiables.

Donc t'as 8go pour le systeme c'est-à-dire :

Seulement 10go pour tes données, ce qui est faible, c'est-à-dire :

/home

Puisque tu as libéré 100go sur Windows, en mode live avec gparted, tu dois pouvoir agrandir ta partition /home a-priori sans perte, mais pour ce genre de manip, faut toujours sauvegarder ses bijoux.

@Lucmas, merci pour ta réponse. En faite je n'ai que 10Go au total pour ubuntu. Donc je pense que pour mes données c'est les 10Go - la taille du système.
Mais sinon je n'ai pas encore lancé gparted en live. J'ai libéré les 100Go via Windows directement.

Je cherche à lancer gparted en live USB, je créerai un autre poste. J'ai un Hp probook 4540s qui semble n'en faire qu'a sa téte pour tout ce qui est Boot. Pour réussir à lancer ubuntu en dual boot avec windows j'ai du remplacer le fichier .efi dans le dossier /boot/ avec celui de Ubuntu !!
Bref merci beaucoup. C'est archi cool de voir des réponses au tac o tac !

Ta description des partitions ubuntu n'est pas très claire. Sous ta session ubuntu, fais un boot-info (voir la doc) et tu nous postes l'url que te fourniras boot-infos. Avec ça on y verra plus clair.

Peut-être que lucmars fera une autre proposition mais moi je te suggère de faire un agrandissement de ta partition sda7 afin qu'elle occupe toute la place libérée par toi. Pour ce faire, il faut utiliser un support Live de Ubuntu, démarrer dessus avec le choix "Essayer Ubuntu" et utiliser l'éditeur de partition Gparted pour faire cet agrandissement de sda7. Tu devras peut-être enlever le verrou sur la partition swap (sda8). En effet, la session Live a la sale manie d'utiliser la partition swap qui se trouve sur le disque dur. Le souci, c'est que quand Gparted veut toucher à la table de partitions, il ne peut pas le faire quand une partition est montée donc il faut que la session live n'utilise plus la swap pour que Gparted puisse faire son job. Je ne me rappelle plus la manœuvre exacte (*) mais tu vas certainement trouver comment faire dans Gparted : le but c'est d'enlever le verrou qui se trouve sur la ligne de la partition swap. Après ça, tu pourras faire ce que tu veux sur sda7.

(*) de mémoire, la procédure dans Gparted c'est clic droit sur la ligne de la partition swap et sélection "swap off"

Bonjour Malbo et merci pour ton intérêt également.

Je souhaite effectivement agrandir ma partition sda7.

Comme précédemment énoncé, j'avais eu un problème pour faire mon dual boot et j'avais du faire des manips bizarres que j'ai trouvé sur un forum en anglais. Il me semble que j'avais pris un fichier .efi d'un dossier de boot ubuntu, pour le mettre dans un autre dossier de boot, apparemment celui sur lequel la machine se lance.
Du coup, là pour booter en USB je n'y arrive toujours pas. Vois-tu quelque chose d'anormal dans ces infos qui fait que je n'arrive pas à booter en usb ?

Par ailleurs, dans les infos je ne vois pas la partition de 100Go que j'ai libéré. Est-ce parce qu'elle n'est attribué à aucun système ?

Non non!!!.
Tu n'as as libéré une partition de 100 Go en réduisant la taille de ton Windows. Mais un "espace disque non alloué" . Une partie du disque vide de partition en fait.

Donc il est normal de ne pas retrouver d'info . On le voit dans le retour de commande comme fdisl -l .
Lorsque l'on sait interpréter la la lecture des positions des secteurs des partitions existantes. On voit qu'il y a un grand trou entre ceux -ci.

Oui, c'est par-ce-que cet espace disque non alloué n'est pas utilisé pour y faire des partitions.

Je comprends mieux merci.
Je vois en effet que le 'End Sector' de sda4 est : 708,014,079
Puis 'Start sector' de sda5 c'est : 943,534,080
Soit un trou 235 520 001 sectors. Et si je comprends bien, 1sector = 512bytes.
Donc 121.10^9 bytes soit 121Go (si 1byte=1octet).
C'est bien ca ? C'est kiffant ! ^^

Bon par contre comme je souhaite augmenter la taille de sda7, ça ne pose pas problème que le "trou" ne soit pas à côté ?

Moi je vois le "trou" de 104Go entre /sda4 et /sda7...

Dans fdisk -l

912,814,080 début de /sda7 c'est plus petit que 943,534,080 début de /sda5

Çà veut aussi dire que les partitions ne sont pas dans l'ordre. /sda7 est avant /sda5.

De plus parted garde l'ordre des partitions. Et çà confirme ce que dit fdisk non?

J'ai l'impression que "parted -l" et le "Drive/Partition Info" (vers le début), ne donne pas le même ordre des partitions.

-> Dans le "Drive/Partition Info" , j'ai sda5 (14.9Gb) et sda6 (2144Mb) qui viennent après sda4.
-> Dans "parted -l", ces partitions viennent à la fin.

Dans tous les cas, ce soir je m'arrange pour booter en usb et lancer gparted en live.
Je vous tiens au courant si cela vous intéresse.

Bonjour.
Dans le "Drive/Partition Info" les partition /dev/sdxx sont indiquées dans l'ordre 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8.
Mais en y regardant de plus près le début et la fin des secteurs dans les partitions, on voit bien que /sda7 est après /sda4.

Ah oui bien vu Babdu89 ! je m'étais arrêté au saut entre sda4 et en sd5. Je pensais que c'était trié par ordre de secteur. Super merci c'est plus clair.

Merci Malbo pour l'astuce de démarrer Ubuntu en mode test avec le CD. Ca a marché, j'ai pu lancé gparted et faire les modifications de partition.

Donc c'est parfait, j'ai mon sda7 (ext4) qui fait 215Gb maintenant c'est cool ^^ !

Si on compare avec ce qu'il y avait dans le post #11, on voit que tu as fait maigrir encore la partition sda4 qui a maintenant une taille de 263 GB (au lieu de 361 GB dans le post #11) alors que la partition sda7 a maintenant une taille de 215 GB comme tu l'as signalé (au lieu de 11.6 GB dans le post #11).
