[RÉSOLU] DualBoot sur disques séparés

Bonjour

J'ai fait un petit tour du forum mais j'ai pas vraiment trouvé ce que je cherche (si ça existe veuillez me pardonner)

Je cherche à installer en DualBoot Ubuntu.
Le PC a 2 disques
Sur le premier j'ai Windows 8.1 (personne est parfait ^^)
J'aimerai installer Ubuntu sur le second disque.
Si je fais installer Ubuntu à côté de Windows il me sépare le premier disque en 2 (et c'est pas ce que je veux)
Je choisis donc l'option "Autre chose"
et là .... ben je sais pas quoi faire. Où installer mon /boot ?
Sur le second disuqe directement ? à la place de a partition Windows loader?
Je précise je ne suis pas en UEFI je suis en Legacy.

Depuis une session live de Ubuntu, je te prie de faire un Boot-Info et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse à ce message.
Cela donnera l'opportunité de te donner les bons conseils avant installation.

Merci de ta réponse rapide mais j'ai un souci lors de "l'essayage".
J'ai un écran noir on dirait qu'il ne gère pas la carte graphique ?
J'ai une Nvidia Quadro K620, 2Go
Sinon c'est un Dell que veux-tu comme info avec le tag de la machine je peux en avoir certaines sur leur site.

Je ne suis pas en EFI, quand j'essaie ta méthode je suis en graphique donc impossible (pour moi) d'accéder au bios

Windows 10 est bien installé en mode non-EFI comme tu l'as indiqué. Rien ne s'oppose à l'installation de Ubuntu ou de Linux Mint 17.2 LTS, dans le même mode non-EFI. Il faut juste que depuis Windows 10 tu fasses maigrir un peu la partition sdb1 pour laisser de l'espace libre en fin de disque dur : cet espace sera occupé par ton installation de Ubuntu (ou Mint). Comme il faut prévoir une partition racine de 20 Go et une partition swap de 4 Go (facultatif parce que tu as 32 Go de RAM mais bon...), il conviendra de laisser 24 Go en fin de disque dur. Tu pourras créer les deux partitions - la partition racine et la partition swap - pendant l'installation : tu sélectionneras "Autre chose" à l'étape "Type d'installation" et tu t’appuieras sur cette doc Installation d'Ubuntu : partitionnement manuel et en particulier sur le paragraphe Exemple pratique
Il n'y a pas besoin de créer une partition /home parce que tu pourras stocker tes documents dans la partition sdb1 (label : DATAPART1). La configuration de cette partie sera à faire après l'installation de Ubuntu avec l'aide de l'utilitaire ntfs-config
Dans le champ "Périphérique où sera installé le programme de démarrage" (en bas de la fenêtre de l'installateur), il faudra que tu sélectionnes "/dev/sdb". Explication : ainsi; le chargeur d'amorçage de Grub sera installé dans le MBR du disque dur sdb dans lequel Ubunu sera installé.

Oui ça je sais faire !!!
En plus "installation à côté de Windows" te propose de partitionner le disque
L'installer sur un disque en single boot je sais. l'installer à côté de Windows je sais.

Je veux l'installer sur le DEUXIÈME disque. Et c'est là ou je coince.....
Parce que "install à côté' te propose que sur le disque de Windows par sur le 2ème
Et quand je choisis "autre chose" je vois les 2 disques mais je sais pas quoi faire.
Où je mets le /boot syr le premier disque où y a Windows ou sur le second ?
Si je le mets sur le disque Windows comment je fais ?? etc etc etc ...

Je veux que les 2 installations soient bien distinctes pour les données donc je veux un disque de 2 To avec Windows le second disque de 2To avec Ubuntu.

Bonjour.
J'ai l'habitude de préparer les partitions d'installation en session live avec Gparted....

J'ai testé çà dernièrement. Pour info dans un autre sujet. (installer sur un disque externe en utilisant le disque entier) en automatique.
Pendant le test, j'arrive à une fenêtre proposant tous les disque de ma config (4 hdd internes + le hdd usb).
Tu peux tester de ton côté, l'installation sur un de tes hdd interne comme çà, il faut bien regarder ce que proposent les "Boutons" Continuer" ou "Installer maintenant"

Mai tu peux aussi préparer les partitions d'installation sur le disque /dev/sdb, en session live de l'Os que tu veux installer, avec Gparted.
Puis pendant l'installation, arrivé à "Type d'installation", tu choisis "Autre chose" pour avoir le choix du disque et des partitions préparées.

Tu peux aussi débrancher le disque où est installé Windows, pour ne pas faire de bêtises. Et l'installation se passera comme si tu n'avais qu'un disque vide.
Une foi fini, l'Os Linux fonctionnant tu rebranches le disque où est Windows. Tu fais démarrer la machine définitivement (en passant par le Bios pour changer la séquence de démarrage) sur le disque où est installé l'Os Linux.
Pour porter Windows au menu Grub de cet Os Linux et pouvoir le démarrer, tu fais une mise à jour de grub.

sudo update-grub

Comme çà tu as bien deux installations indépendantes.
Tu démarres la machine sur le disque où est Windows, il n'y a que lui qui démarre (on n'écrase pas le MBR).
Tu démarres la machine sur le disque où est l'Os Linux, depuis le menu Grub, tu peux démarrer les deux systèmes; Windows et l'Os Linux.

J'ai fait comme ta deuxième suggestion : débrancher le disque Windows, installer Linux etc etc

Mais j'ai un problème quelque soit le disque dur que je mets en avant pour booter c'est Windows qui démarre, alors que si je laisse le disque Linux seul ben il s'ouvre bien.
Une idée ?

En fait il faut inverser l'ordre des disque sur la nappe et après c'est bon il démarre sur Linux j'ai upgradé le grub et voilà.

Tellement habitué à voir des machine avec des hdd en SATA ou des SSD, qu'on en oublie des disque EIDE (ATA) ...

Ah bon!. Peut-être une de ces machines qui ne savent que booter sur le disque branché sur le premier port SATA

Mettre en résolu, tu édites (Modifier) ton premier post pour modifier le titre.
