[ABANDONNÉ] Impossible de lancer MySQL

Bonjour, j'ai un problème.

Ce matin j'ai fait la mise à niveau de 14.04 vers 16.04, et ça s'est pas bien passé (erreurs à la fin).
J'ai redémarré, j'étais bien sous 16.04, mais avec des soucis : problème d'affichage, Virtualbox en carafe, mais tout ça c'est réglé.

Là, de ce qu'ai pu voir, tout fonctionne correctement, ça a l'air stable, sauf le lancement de MySQL (Apache et PHP c'est bon). J'ai supprimer les paquets (il me restait des morceaux d'ancienne version) et réinstallé, même problème, MySQL refuse de se lancer.

Quand je fais :

sudo service mysql start

J'ai :

On dirait un problème de permissions, mais je sais pas quoi faire... au secours.

Du nouveau, j'ai tenté ça :

sudo dpkg-reconfigure mysql-server-5.7

Et ça fonctionne ! Mais quand je redémarre la machine, j'ai à nouveau le problème.

Si je le refais, j'ai ce message :

Checking if update is needed.
This installation of MySQL is already upgraded to 5.7.13, use --force if you still need to run mysql_upgrade

Donc je suppose qu'il ne se passe rien, mais pourtant MySQL démarre ensuite (???)

Salut,
Pas beaucoup d’éléments, il faudrait regarder dans /var/log/mysql/error.log ?
Sinon augmenter le niveau de verbosité : https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/error-log.html

Le soucis, c'est qu'au démarrage je n'ai pas de dossier mysql dans /var/log. Comme si il essayait même pas de démarrer.
Par contre il est créé quand je fais

Je ne sais pas comment augmenter le niveau de verbosité. Il faut éditer un fichier de config ?

Ça sent le problème de permissions, non ?

Entre temps j'ai supprimé tous les paquets, ainsi que les répertoires /etc/mysql et /var/lib/mysql, et refait l'install de mysql-server, c'est toujours pareil.

Si j'ajoute

sudo dpkg-reconfigure mysql-server-5.7

à mon fichier /etc/rc.local pour l'exécuter au démarrage, le service se lance, ça fonctionne nickel (mais c'est bien crade comme solution).

ls -l /var/lib | grep mysql
ls -l /var/lib/mysql

En effet ça sent le répertoire manquant ou problème de permission.

Ah oui pardon, je suis bête, je n'ai pas vu que tu as fait les manipulations sans être root.
Refais le mysqld --console en root ou avec sudo, ce sera mieux

Bonjour,

La présence du dossier /var/lib/mysql/mysql-upgrade indique que le processus de mise a jour ne s'est pas terminé correctement. En effet, ce dossier est créé temporairement lors d'une mise à niveau d'une version de mysql-server vers une autre pour migrer les bases de données.

ne me renvoie rien du tout... MySQL n'est pas lancé pour autant, et je n'ai pas de dossier mysql dans /var/log

Dans /var/log/syslog toute les 30 secondes j'ai :

Bonjour,

J'ai arrêté de chercher, je suis reparti d'une install fraîche en 16.04, tout réinstallé proprement et restauré les données, c'est ok.
Je pense qu'à la prochaine mise à niveau, je ferais pareil...
