C'est vrai, mais si on n'a qu'une utilisation ponctuelle (de Windows, par exemple tongue), virtualiser le système évite de devoir redémarrer...
Bien sûr, au détriment des performances, mais si ce n'est pour jouer à des jeux qui bouffent toutes les ressources, ça peut le faire.

Plus de 50 ans d'informatique, ça en fait des lignes de commandes en console, mais on n'avait pas le choix...
Excellente raison pour, aujourd'hui qu'on le peut, utiliser au maximum les INTERFACES GRAPHIQUES !

encore et toujours, on touche à la philo plus qu'à la technique.
par exemple, on ne cherche pas un logiciel mais des fonctions...
pour bien découvrir Linux, rien ne vaut une installation en dur.

Bonjour à tous,

Ma décision est prise. j'ai fais une partition de 100 Go pour Ubuntu.
Je vais faire son installation en dur cet après midi.
J'ai découvert, durant le test de Ubuntu en live, que tous les fichiers, qui ont été créés avec des softs comme Office et autres, sont lisibles par les logitiels inclus dans Ubuntu. Ceci simplifie énormément la vie car avec un dual boot tout n'est pas complètement isolé entre les deux OS.
Il reste à voir les cas particuliers comme Autocad, Cadence, Visual studio etc. ou il faut voir si il y a des solutions.
J'aimerais être protégé contre les attaques de manière très efficace.
La lecture des liens cités plus haut ont été assez instructifs "mais" quelle procédure simple et efficace de sauvegarde automatique, avec une analyse systématique des documents créés ou modifiés dans la journée, peut on mettre en place ?
Ce serait possible si les fichiers personnels sont dans un dossier et sous dossiers séparés qu'il suffit de copier lors de l'arrêt de la machine.Mais comment faire?
Je ne suis pas assez fort en programmation pour rédiger des fichiers d'exécution que ce soit sous Windows ou sous Ubuntu.
Si quelqu'un est assez fort pour ça ce serait sympa pour pas mal d'utilisateurs.

et après l'installation tu as des procédures pour installer des ensembles de logiciels et tweaker facilement le système sur la doc

et tu peux utiliser un moteur de recherche :
ubuntu [forum ou doc] recherche

Voilà c'est fait et ça marche pour Ubuntu.
Remarquez que les accents sont là. C'est bien mieux avec azerty.

Encore merci à tous pour votre aide précieuse.
Mais ne croyez pas que vous êtes débarrassé de moi ! Il doit bien me rester quelques questions encore cachées pour l'instant, mais je devine et je sens que ça ne vas pas tarder.
Je vous jure que ce n'est pas de la prémonition.

Pour "malbo" je n'oublies pas le Boot-Info demandé. Il me faut juste trouver ou lire le lien qui me semble est dans ton message.

Je ne peu pas vérifier cela en rédigeant ma réponse, si non celle-ci vas s'effacer.

Je viens de suivre les instructions données dans le #13.
Cela déclenche un tas d'instructions qui se sont toutes bien réalisées.
maintenant que dois-je faire?
Le terminal est dans l'état de fin des instructions en attente de la suite.

Relis bien tout. Je te demande de donner l'URL du Boot-Info dans ta réponse. Cette URL, tu es sensé l'avoir obtenue à cette étape : 

"Rapport en ligne" envoie le rapport sur un site pastebin, puis vous indiquez aux personnes qui vous en ont fait la demande, l'url où se situe le rapport. La méthode copier/coller est excellente.

Non ces logiciels ne seront jamais vraiment disponibles sous linux mais ce sont des besoins professionnels.

Pour "freechelmi"
Autocad ne semble pas avoir d'équivalent. Freecad est moins performant en dessin mais mieux en 3D.
Cadence est très volumineux, mais il possède des bibliothèques mieux documentées que la plupart de ses équivalents.
               Ces derniers nous demandent beaucoup de travail pour créer les composants manquants.
Visual Studio je vais essayer Eclipse, mais ça va demander du temps.

Au passage et pour infos l'installation de Ubuntu m'as viré Cortana de Win10 (reconnaissance vocale).Ca ne m'est absolument pas un pb.

En général, le démarrage d'un Toshiba est verrouillé volontairement par construction sur Windows. Dans ton cas, il semble que ce ne soit pas le cas. J'avais déjà trouvé quelques rares cas de Toshiba non verrouillés (ICI)

Je viens d'ajouter ton modèle Satellite L70-A-13P dans la Liste des portables « Toshiba ».
Peux-tu confirmer (ou pas) que cet ordi était préinstallé Windows 8.1 à l'achat et qu'il a été mis à niveau Windows 10 (probablement par la mise à jour gratuite) ?

Cet ordinateur était en Windows 8.1 à l'origine.
J'ai essayé Windows 10 qui me posait beaucoup de problèmes avec mes sorfts.
Je suis revenu en arrière sous 8.1.
A cette occasion quelques pertes de softs et dossiers.
Ensuite n refus d'installation de Win10.
Et un jour installation de Win 10 sans me demander mon avis.
Ré installation des softs avec encore des pertes mais plus importantes.
Deux séances de virus ou autres nécessitant de réinstaller Win10.
La dernière il y a une semaine.
Depuis je considère Windaube 10 et le suis revenu vers Ubuntu.
Je remarque que j'ai eu deux ou trois spam sous Firefox depuis hier.
Je n'ai pas installer d'anti ...?
Dois je faire quelque chose?

TU as du installer une extension spam firefox , n'installer des extensions qu'a partir du site de firefox .... et n'installer pas de logiciels ou plugins hors de la logithèque

Non Firefox a toujours été installé depuis son site fr et je n'avais pas d'extension.
Certains softs ne sont pas accessibles car hors de prix.

Je crois que les hackers ou les sites de pub sont hyper-actifs sur Windows 10 et un clic mal placé c'est très vite fait.
Pour les logitiels que je suis obligé de garder je vais essayer de supprimer les accès internet depuis Windows si c'est possible, bien qu'il n'arrête pas de réclamer une liaison, compte hotmail, one drive, etc.
J'ai remarqué que c'est beaucoup plus calme sous Ubuntu durant presque toute la journée d'hier.
