Probleme Boot REFIND
Bonjour,
Je suis en dual-boot ubuntu-windows et j'utilisais ReFIND jusqu'a maintenant qui marchait très bien. Mais depuis 2 jours (maj windows) je n'ai plus accès au menu pour choisir le système sous lequel démarrer. Je boot directement sous windows.
Avez vous une solution ?

Mince bizarre, pourtant je l'ai bien eu un moment ...
J'ai lancé la commande et il semble qu'il a bien changé le boot order comme demandé mais il démarre quand même automatiquement sur windows derrière

Salut,
Refind est un lanceur "indépendant". Il n'a besoin ni de Linux, ni de Windows pour fonctionner. Il faudrait déjà vérifier manuellement le contenu de la partition efi pour vérifier s'il est présent ou non. Sinon, il n'est pas très compliqué de réinstaller Refind dans la partition efi si besoin. J'explique ici comment l'ajouter directement sur la partition efi depuis Windows :

Mais tu peux le faire aussi depuis Linux, puisque la partition EFI est montée en principe automatiquement. C'est même faisable en mode graphique, si on veut se simplifier la vie.

Maintenant, reste à savoir si HP n'oblige pas à booter sur "WBM", mais tu sembles dire que ça fonctionnait avant.

J'ai un problème avec ta technique, peut etre du a la présence de Refind avant, je ne sais pas !
Je ne peux pas faire les premières étapes de ton tuto pour ajouter a la partition efi car j'ai déjà un disque Z: de monté auquel je n'ai pas accès ! je crois que justement il s'est créé au moment ou Refind a disparu ... Je n'ose clairement pas le formater ...
Bougron et Laurent85 : je ne peux pas redémarrer mon ordi tout de suite (téléchargement lourd en cours), j'essaierais ta technique dès que je peux Bougron mais de toute facon j'avoue que j'aimerais bien avoir un menu qui apparaisse sans devoir me dépasser d'appuyer sur les touches de mon clavier a chaque démarrage

Dans cette liste, je ne sais pas retrouver, la partition EFI, peut-être qu'en les montant toutes, je vais finir par trouver.
Mais si je regarde la procédure d'installation indiquée dans le téléchargement, rien n'est prévu pour Windows
J'ai donc trouvé celle-ci http://www.rodsbooks.com/refind/installing.html qui indique au point 9
bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\refind\refind_x64.efi
C'est une chose que je n'aime pas trop car si tu rates quelque chose, je pense qu'il sera quasiment impossible de booter. Mais le réparateur Windows devrait fonctionner.
Il me semble préférable de fabriquer une nouvelle partition FAT32 (8 Mo devraient suffire) et d'y installer refind et d'utiliser EASYEFI pour selectionner Refind au prochain boot
Je vais maintenant appliquer la proposition 4 proposée par ikevdu. Ma nouvelle partition FAT32 a la lettre R: qui a été automatiquement attribuée lors de sa création.
Mais comme j'ai déjà dézippé le fichier dans R:/EFI, je gagne l'étape de la copie
On copie l'ensemble du dossier extrait du zip dans le dossier \efi\refind :
Z:\EFI\refind>xcopy /s c:\refind\*.*
(ici, je coupe la liste des fichiers copiés)
99 fichier(s) copié(s)
On renomme le fichier refind.conf-sample en refind.conf. On ne touche pas au contenu car ça nintéresse pas la démo, mais il faut savoir quil est paramétrable.

Il ne reste plus qu'à ajouter une entrée vers ce nouveau Firmware dans la NVRam. Comme dans le point 1, on utilise le logiciel EasyUEFI pour faciliter les choses

rename /EFI/refind-bin-0.10.8/refind/refind.conf-sample refind.conf

Gros problème avec la version récente de easyefi
Je ne peux plus créer une entrée quelque soit la partition fat32 retenue (y compris la partition ESP).Le message est "specified partition not found (0x0002003600420000)" et il est connu!!

La commande suivante monte la partition efi automatiquement (c'est l'option /s qui gère cela).
mountvol n: /s
Si elle ne fonctionne pas, c'est qu'il y a un problème au niveau de cette partition efi.
Quant à Easyuefi, je lui préfère la commande bcdedit, native sous Windows.
Enfin, au sujet de ce bricolage de démarrage de Windows, je ne l'apprécie pas plus avec refind qu'avec shimx64

Pour l'instant, j'ai réussi à l'éviter sur tous les PC que j'ai installés en dual-boot UEFI.

je suis bien d'accord avec toi pour le bricolage de la commande BCDEDIT car une faute de frappe est catastrophique.
Même si pas d'erreur, il faut que le logiciel qu'on a choisi pour booter fonctionne. sinon on est fichu.
C'est pour cela que je propose EASYEFI car il a l'option "juste une fois" Donc si REFIND plante royalement on revient sous windows!
Dans tous les cas, la bonne solution est de demander au bios de choisir son OS de boot. Il y en a plein qui savent le faire aussitôt qu'il est déposé dans une partition FAT32 qui n'est pas obligatoirement celle 'officielle'.
Je ne sais pas comment se comporte ce micro sur ce point-là
Je viens de passer un mauvais après-midi car ubuntu se plantait systématiquement à cause d'UUID en double ou de PART-LABEL en double (c'était la partition de boot) Donc demain je vais regarder si cela marche mieux.

Finalement. j'ai booté sur windows
Après toutes ces rectifications, je n'ai plus de message d'erreur Tout semble bien se terminer mais rien n'est créé, y compris dans la partition EFI, ou il m'affiche bien les caractéristiques des lignes de montage.
Mais à force d'insister cela a fonctionné. Je pense que ce qui a débloqué la situation a été de créer en premier une entrée fictive dans la partition ESP puis après, j'ai pu créer l'entrée avec la partition contenant refind
Donc cela a booté avec refind. J'ai pu choisir dans la liste

En fait, ton cas est assez complexe, car tu as plusieurs partitions efi. Le bios-uefi tend à lire surtout la première qu'il détecte, et il ne va parfois pas plus loin. J'avoue n'avoir pas testé les partitions efi multiples.

Non, mon cas est très simple.
Une partition FAT32 par OS! Comme cela, lorsque multi-system réinitialise la partition de boot de ubuntu, il ne me détruit pas la partition de boot de WINDOWS voir de refind qui a mystérieusement disparu.
Si refind avait eu sa propre partition de boot, elle serait encore visible.
Mais il est possible que quelques bios EFI ne pensent pas à lire plusieurs partitions. C'est le cas de toshiba. Il n'est probablement pas le seul .
Donc on est obligé, dans ce cas, d'utiliser soit bcdedit soit easyefi pour activer refind si on ne souhaite pas utiliser SUPERGRUB2 pour lancer ubuntu qui sait très bien installer REFIND. Mais pour cela il faut aussi avoir un graveur de CDROM
