KDM s'arrête et repart tout seul !

Bonjour,
Suite à des problèmes de migration, j'ai reformaté mon portable (Toshiba M100) et installé Kubuntu 8.10 from skratch.
Là tout fonctionne (quelques truc en anglai, genre la date !)
mais régulièrement KDM s'éteint. Comme si la session a été fermée (le message cheking battery state apparaît dans une console). immédiatement KDM se ralance et demande à se relogger et on repart de 0.
A force, c'est usant !
Auriez-vous une réponse à mon pb ?

Salut,

Tu as une carte graphique NVidia ? As-tu activé l'option BackingStore dans le /etc/X11/xorg.conf ?

Non, une Intel (mon poste est un portable).

salut

si j'ai bien compris le soucis, j'ai le même alors. si je ne fait rien sur mon laptop (ou le pc de madame) et que je reviens un plus tard, j'ai droit à l'écran de login hmm

laptop => carte intel
Pc de madame => carte nvidia (mais j'ai pas l'option dans le xorg.conf enfin je regarderais s'il y a eu modification).

Aurais-tu l'option AIGLX d'active dans ton xorg.conf ? Après je sèche, désolé. Regarde sur google si d'autres n'ont pas eu le problème. C'est comme ça que j'ai trouvé pour le backingstore.

J'ai trouvé deux proposition sur google : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/127101

j'ai appliqué la première, j'ai l'impression que ça tient plus longtemps, mais le pb est toujours là... KDM s'éteint d'un coup et repart, à partir de l'invit de login !!!
Il semble que c'est lié au pilot i810 qui n'est plus fourni... avez vous des infos de ce côté là ?
Sinon, ma seule solution est de revenir vers l'ancienne version. Celle qui m'a fait adopter (K)ubuntu, avant que celle-ci ne ma dégoute de Linux.

Ce serait pas un problème d'acpi qui se reflète sur sur un démon qui prend l'action de délogger ou autre ?

CentOS => tout type de serveur
Ubuntu => tout bon ordinateur
Lubuntu => sur du vieux matos ;-)

Je ne comprend pas un traitre mot de ce que tu dis là...
de toute façon j'abandonne, j'installe à nouveau la 8.04

je pense revenir à la 8.10 dans quelques moi... quand la chose sera plus stable et corrigée.

avant que tu repartes sous la 8.04. c'est bien le même soucis que moi ?
si oui, moi j'ai aussi une carte intel mais j'ai le driver intel (pas i810) enfin à moins que mon xorg.conf c'est changé tout seul... je regarderais demain !

Oui, c'est le même problème sauf que cela m'arrive aussi en pleine utilisation du portable et c'est gênant.

Tu as pu corriger ton pb ?

il est possible que ça soit un bug de l'applet "guidance power manager". elle est sous la forme l'icône d'une batterie avec un éclair jaune. j'ai 2 profils dedans. un en mode batterie et l'autre en mode "branché". dans le mode batterie, l'hibernation s'active au bout de 5 mn...

J'ai finalement quitté la 8.10 (snif) pour revenir à la 8.4 qui est plus stable pour l'instant.
Je ferai un nouveau test dans quelques mois... quand la 8.10 passera en LTS.
