Carte Atheros... la galère continue
Bonjour,
Deuxième post ici par rapport a un probleme de connexion wifi persistant....
Mon portable est équipé d'une carte Atheros 5007, je tourne sous Kubuntu 8.10 donc j'ai suivi ce p'tit tuto : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/wifi_atheros
Après exécution du script, le terminal affiche ceci:

OK, autant pour moi. Entre temps j'ai pu récupérer une connexion ethernet plus vite que prévu.
Lorsque je clique sur le lien linux-backports-modules-intrepid un message m'indique que le paquet est déja installé.
Cela dit, après avoir redémarré, toujours rien...
Le pilote de périphériques détecte deux choses: support for 5xxx series of Atheros 802.11 wireless LAN cards
support for Atheros 802.11 wireless LAN cards
Ces deux pilotes sont activés et utilisés
Par ailleurs, je n'arrive pas a lancer knetworkmanager, je sais plus comment vérifier via la console
Je sais vraiment plus ou j'en suis

il faut blacklister tes ancien essai inutile a savoir l'installation de madwifi

J'ai le même chipset. Voilà ma technique pour que ça marche :
1. Tu vas dans Administration > Pilotes de Périphériques, et tu décoches tout ce qui est relatif au wifi
2. Tu vas là http://madwifi-project.org/ticket/1192 et tu suis soigneusement les instructions/conseils pour installer proprement
3. Une fois installé, tu reboot
4. sudo modprobe ath_pci , au démarrage
5. pour charger automatiquement les pilotes au démarrage, rajoute dans /etc/modules ath_pci

Bon ben c'est pas gagné...
Rien que open a shell terminal in the MadWifi source directory. je vois ce que c'est mais concrètement je sais pas comment faire
Le tuto parle de se connecter en root mais si moi avoir bien compris sous Kubuntu par exemple
on parle de sudo... c'est a rajouter au début de chaque ligne de commande?
Je commence a être bien découragé, ca fait une semaine que je rame, c'est vraiment pas simple quand ca marche po...

Tu ouvre un terminal, et la suite des commandes s'exécute dans le répertoire que tu a décompressé, donc tu utilise "cd" pour changer de répertoire. En effet, le root c'est sudo, à ajouté avant chaque ligne ou presque.

Aucun périphérique de cetype => regarde si tu as un autre pérophérique qui s'appelle differement.
Permission non accordée => on avait pourtant dit d'utiliser sudo...

Je pense que je dois avoir le même problème.
J'ai une carte Atheros AR5007, et avec 8.04 pas de problème (après l'installation comme expliquée dans le tuto), mais depuis mon passage sous intrepid, ca foire totalement. Je n'ai plus la petite denêtre qui me permet de choisir entre les différents réseaux sans fils...
Que faire?
PS/ J'ai commencé la discussion dans un autre post, mais on ne m'aide pas :'(

Un truc super important, tu rajoutes sudo devant toutes les commandes du tuto pour les exécuter en droit root.
Pour les erreurs sur ifconfig..., c'est normal, parce que ta carte wifi est pas reconnu encore. Donc tu peux pas la désactiver... (c'est ce que fait le ifconfig down).
Ensuite les erreurs viennent des permissions (parce que t'as pas exécuté en root justement).
Donc tu tapes:
sudo ./madwifiunload
sudo ./findmadwifimodules.sh $(uname r)
sudo make
sudo make install
je pense que t'as compris l'idée

Salut, j'ai un problème similaire avec AR242x 802.11abg
J'ai essayé des tonnes de manipulation mais rien à faire
Donc si quelqu'un a résolu son problème, qu'il n'hésite pas à en faire part !

Tu as un problème à la compilation du programme (sudo make). Il faut que tu installes le paquet build-essential. Tu peux le faire en tapant la commande
sudo apt-get install build-essential
.
Ensuite recommence tout depuis le début. Avant sudo make, fais sudo make clean pour retirer les résidus de la précédente compilation.
Ca devrait marcher cette fois-ci!

Salut, je suis exactement dans le même cas, impossible de compiler correctement la version 0.9.4 de madwifi que l'on télécharge sur le site officiel... Même erreur alors que j'ai aussi la dernière version de build-essential... Je vais essayer avec d'autres versions de madwifi que j'avais réussi à compiler hier, mais je n'avais pas de connexions disponibles quand même... Enfin je tiens au courant si jamais j'arrive à faire fonctionner !

Par contre Jendilajea, j'ai pas fait gaffe avant, mais c'est cette version là qui faut prendre
http://snapshots.madwifi-project.org/madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6/madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3875-20081105.tar.gz , celle qui est sur le lien que j't'ai filé plus haut, pas la version "officielle".

Sur http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/atheros_ar5007eg y disent qu'il faut le paquet linux-headers aussi pour compiler, vous l'avez celui là?
