Lucid sur HDD
J'ai fait une installation de 10.04 sur un disque amovible USB indépendant (sdd) et des versions Win sur sda ..sdc
Si le disque amovible HDD Ubuntu est connecté ou ON , c'est Ubuntu qui démarre, sinon, c'est Win.
J'ai fait la fausse manip suivante :
J'ai ajouté un second disque amovible USB ( uniquement des données ) qui est en sde lorsque le HDD Ubuntu est ON mais qui passe en sdd lorsqu'il est OFF et comme le signale bootinfoscript, le grub2 s'est inscrit dessus.
Résultat : même si le HDD Ubuntu est OFF, le boot Win ne démarre plus, je dois couper aussi ce second HDD.
Ma question est donc comment supprimer ce grub2 parasite.
J'ai retrouvé également Grub2 sur une partition Win ( sdb), mais il ne gène pas le boot.

Moi, je ne sais pas te conseiller pour pouvoir supprimer ce Grub2 parasite qui est dans le MBR de ton disque de données. Je pense que le supprimer n'est pas un but à rechercher mais l'idée serait plutôt : quoi mettre dans le MBR de ce disque de données pour que le fonctionnement te satisfasse ? Aussi, je pense que réaliser l'installation d'un Ubuntu (un Ubuntu supplémentaire c'est vrai, mais visiblement tu affectionnes les installations multiples) dans ce disque de données pourrait résoudre le problème. L'actuel "disque Ubuntu" ne serait pas branché pendant cette nouvelle installation afin de ne pas risquer d'aller lui modifier son Grub à lui et tu installerais Grub dans le MBR de ce disque de données. Le but serait atteint à mon avis parce que ce Grub contiendrait les bonnes infos pour lancer Windows, ce qui n'est pas le cas aujourd'hui.
Ce qui se passerait dans le cas où tu n'aurais que le disque "de données" branché : le grub serait lu comme il l'est aujourd'hui mais il pointerait sur la partition Ubuntu que tu aurais créé sur ce même disque et le fichier de configuration de Grub qui se trouverait sur cette partition contiendrait les infos valides pour lancer Windows.
Ce qui se passerait dans le cas ou les deux disques seraient branchés : comme aujourd'hui, c'est le MBR du disque du "vieux" Ubuntu qui serait lu et qui démarrerait le "vieux" Ubuntu.
En prenant du recul, ma proposition est que chaque disque externe doit avoir son propre système d'exploitation afin de pouvoir gérer correctement le cas où le PC démarre sur son MBR.
Moi perso, je trouve crétin d'installer des OS sur des DD externes parce que ça complique bien la vie comme dans ton cas. Mais tous les dégoûts sont dans la nature.

merci pour ces conseils.
je suis en phase provisoire de récupération de mes logiciels W2K, c'est pourquoi il y a tant d'OS. En phase opérationnelle, il restera le Boot Xp seul, un XP et logiciels et Lucid sur 3 DD indépendants.
C'est pourquoi les données compatibles avec ces OS sont sur un HDD pour éviter les accidents et limiter la casse.
J'ai installé Lucid sur HDD pour une simple raison de disponibilité du moment ; ile me faudra alors passer du HDD vers un DD libre ; c'est un autre combat

C'est quoi pour toi un HDD ? Parce que pour moi ça veut dire Hard Disk Drive, ce qui se dit "disque dur" en français et ça ne signifie pas que c'est un disque dur externe ni un disque dur extractible.

La définition fournie par le GRUB est en fait "USB HDD" :)
