[Résolu] Problème connexion Imprimante HP

Bonjour,

Je n'arrive pas à faire fonctionner mon imprimante HP Deskjet 840C
sous Ubuntu 10.04.

J'ai installé hplip, branché la prise USB de l'imprimante, mais
quand je tape sudo hp-pagetest:

Merci pour ton aide.
Je pensais qu'avec sudo apt-get install hplip tout le nécessaire était installé.
Apparement non, bien qu'il ait pris 120 Mo et pas mal de temps à tout configurer (j'avais l'impression
qu'il m'installait un OS ).
Maintenant j'ai bien l'utilitaire graphique mais quand je l'ouvre j'ai le message:

no installed hp devices found

Allons bon ! Le driver ne serait pas installé ??
Dans la doc il est dit que hplip et les drivers hp sont installés par défaut. Pas dans Lucid en tout cas !

Bref, comment faire pour installer le bon driver ?

Oui, c'est bien ce que j'ai fait.
J'ai choisi Universal Serial Bus dans le panneau: Device Discovery
puis ->next et là il me dit device not found.

J'ai également un panneau qui apparait au bout d'un moment disant:

No system tray detected on this system
unable to start

Une idée ?

Salut Duddy67,

d'après les infos HPLIP, il faut la brancher en port parallèle, le port usb pour cette imprimante n'est pas supporté par le pilote hplip, alors commence déjà avec ça ...

Ensuite installe également les paquets les paquets: hplip-dbg et hplip-doc

en faisant: sudo aptitude install <paquet>

On est sous Lucid ...

Puis lance dans ta console: hp-check -t

Ton pilote pour l'installation devrait être: deskjet_840c

Et affiche le résultat ici entre les balises "Codes"

Bon ben ça commence mal
J'ai un portable et il n'y a pas de port parallèle.

Est ce que hplip c'est fichu pour moi ?

Par contre j'ai testé avec cups et l'interface en ligne: http://localhost:631/printers/
et là ça marche.
Le seul hic c'est qu'il faut être en ligne.
Existe t-il une interface graphique pour cups ?

OK, je vois que tu as installé la paquet hplip depuis le site HPLIP, sans utiliser le paquet contenu dans ta distribution. Donc tu perds les mise à jour automatiques ...

Alors fais d'abord la chose suivante ...

Installe les dépendances manquantes comme indiquées en fin de test.

Redémarre ton ordi

Ensuite essaye en console : lsusb -v

Regarde si tu vois listée ton imprimante sur un des Bus

Puis relance en console: hp-testpage

Et dis-nous ce qui se passe ...

Il y a de fortes chances pour l'interface parallèle soit interprétée par le port usb, mais ce n'est pas le cas sur tous les portables. Pour cela il existe des adaptateurs usb-parallèle si jamais.

Concernant l'interface graphique de Cups, il y en a plusieurs ...

En fait au départ j'ai installé la version de la distrib (voir + haut) mais comme ça ne fonctionnait
pas je l'ai désinstallé pour mettre à la place la version du site, au cas où.
Mais apparement ça n'a rien changé.

Cela dit, j'ai une vieille imprimante dont je ne me sert qu'occasionnellement et je
pense que cups est plus adapté et moins lourd pour ce genre d'utilisation, et en + ça marche .

Aussi, pourrais-tu me donner le nom de quelques interfaces graphiques pour cups ?

Alors voila, la première interface est celle que tu possède dans ton espace admin ...

Pour la deuxième, celle-là tu la connais ici apparemment: Interface Web de CUPS

Pour la troisième si tu as une imprimante HP, c'est HP Device Manager, que tu obtiens lors de l'installation du paquet hplip-gui qui t'installe automatiquement hplip-cups, Avec lequel tu peux installer d'autres imprimantes ... Il te suffit de double-cliquer sur l'icône HP

Pour les autres, fais une recherche dans Synaptics avec le mot: cups

Il en existe encore d'autres ...

Au fait qu'a donné le résultat du post précédent ?

Je pense que je vais rester avec hplip-cups et l'interface en localhost.
Au début je pensais que ça se faisait sur internet, je n'avais pas fait
attention au "localhost" de http://localhost:631/admin/
Il faut dire que c'est plutôt déroutant comme méthode d'interface et pas franchement friendly user.

hplip-gui m'aurait bien tenté, mais 178Mo d'occupation pour une vieille
imprimante c'est un peu lourd, d'autant que j'essaies d'être le + light possible
car je n'ai pas beaucoup de ressource (stockage, RAM, CPU) sur mon portable.

En tout cas j'aurais appris quelque chose en ce qui concerne les imprimantes sous Linux.

Un portable eMachine (Acer), 1Go RAM, 10 Go DD.

Je suis finalement resté sur hplip-cups et l'interface en localhost.
C'est vrai que c'est plutôt déroutant au début mais il est léger et contient
suffisament de réglages pour ma vieille imprimante.
