AR5001X+ avec Ubuntu 9.04
Je n'arrive pas a me connecter en wifi car les reseaux ne s'affiche pas et network manager n'affiche pas
reseaux sans fil.

ta carte n'as pas de module (=pilote) pour la gerer, installe-le avec un
sudo apt-get install linux-backport-modules-karmicpuis reboot ta carte wifi devrait apparaitre
Tombé dans l'informatique étant petit, j'en ai fait mon métier. Utilisateur d'Ubuntu depuis novembre 2006, actuellement sous 20.04 x64 (Que d'évolution
depuis Dapper Drake ! Ça rajeunit pas ^^^).

Salut! 
Pour une SRC Ubiquiti, qui est le meilleur adaptateur Wifi au monde selon moi (rien que ça!), vous pouvez utiliser le driver hal (propriétaire) ou bien le driver ath5k (libre), je vous conseille de passer sous ath5k.
@toutafai est de bon conseil :
# sudo apt-get install linux-backport-modules-karmic
Dans le gestionnaire de pilotes propriétaires, vous ne devriez plus voir le driver atheros :
- Atheros Hardware Access Layer (HAL)
Il faut désactiver ce pilote propriétaires dans cette interface si il est toujours actif.
Cela blacklist ath_pci dans un des fichiers .conf du dossier /etc/modprobe.d/

Dans le fichier /etc/modules ajouter ath5k (mettre un '#' devant ath_pci si cette ligne est présente, ça le désactive!) et au prochain reboot ath5k devrait être pris en compte de façon permanent.

Alors installez manuellement ath5k :
compat-wireless :
# aptitude install libnl1
# aptitude install libnl-dev
Donc pour installer le dernier driver du jour (enfin de la nuit 
) :
# wget http://wireless.kernel.org/download/compat-wireless-2.6/compat-wireless-2010-08-05.tar.bz2
Unbzip file :
# tar -jxvf compat-wireless-2010-08-05.tar.bz2
Change dir :
# cd compat-wireless-2010-08-05
Compilation :
# make
Installation :
# make install
Si il vous manque des packages à la compilation, utiliser aptitude avec la commande search (et le wildcard *) :

bizarre qu'il n'est pas trouvé ce paquet....tu as activé les dépots backport ? (a vérifier via synaptic, configuration > Dépots > onglet "Mise à jour"). tu été connecté par un cable ?
oui, madwifi est un autre module pouvant gerer ton wifi, mais mieux vaut utiliser le module libre ath5k, comme le dit Nexus6..a qui je laisse la main, mon exp de "madwifi" est un peu rouillé, je reste abonné au post en cas de besoin
