Installation ubuntu dure longtemps

Salut après avoir chopé un virus mon vaio ne démarre plus windows. J'ai donc décider d'installé Linux (ubuntu) j'ai suivi tout les étapes mais là sa fait presque 10h qu'il est bloquer vers la fin de l'instalation. J'ai bien lu sur ce site que sa prenez quelque heure mais est-ce normal que sa dure si longtemps comme sa?

Les étapes de quel type d'installation ?

Ou bien installation "dans Windows" (par Wubi) comme ça : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/wubi
C'est quel modèle de quel fabricant ton PC ?
As-tu fait un essai ( choix "Essayer" au lieu de "Installer") avant de te lancer dans l'installation, c'est à dire une "session live" comme on dit dans le jargon ?
C'est quelle version de Ubuntu (11.10 qui est la dernière version ou une version précédente) ?

Salut malbo
oui c'est bien les étapes "classique" comme tu le dis d'ailleurs c'est sur ce lien que j'ai suivi les étapes.
J'ai un Sony Vaio ( je ne sais pas si c'est suffisant pour te dire plus sur le modèle de mon ordi mais je ne connais pas autan sur l'informatique ).
j'ai télecharger la version ubuntu 11.04. 64 bits.
Et puis j'ai d'abord cliquez sur "essayer" puis j'ai vu sur le bureau installé ubuntu et c'est sur lui que j'ai cliqué.
Voila pour info j'utilise mon ordi à l'instant même alors qu'il l'installe. Je suis à l'etape 8 mais il m'a tjr pas demander de redemaré l'ordi alors qu'il installe depuis hier.

C'est une excellente pratique. Mais avant de cliquer sur "Installer" qui se trouve sur le bureau en session live, as-tu pris le temps de vérifier que tu avais bien accès à internet (as-tu pu aller sur internet avec Firefox par exemple) ? Si ça ne veut pas finir, je te conseille de recommencer l'installation en ne cochant pas "Télécharger les mises à jour" à l'étape 2 : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/_media/install … .png?w=500
Explications : dans certains cas, ça peut être indispensable de télécharger les mises à jour quand une des mises à jour permet de résoudre un problème grave genre problème d'affichage. Mais comme tu dis qu'en session live l'affichage est correct, sans que ce soit certain, il est très probable que tu n'aies pas besoin des mises à jour dès l'installation. Cela évitera de se demander si c'est le téléchargement ou l'installation des mises à jour qui pose problème en se contentant du stricte minimum pour l'installation. En effet tu peux lire qu'à l'étape 8, il y a encore des téléchargements et des installations à faire :

....Il est possible que, vers la fin de l'installation (vers 80%), le processus vous semble inactif si vous n'êtes pas connecté à Internet durant tout le processus d'installation, si votre connexion est achalandée, si votre connexion à Internet passe par un serveur mandataire ou si les serveurs d'Ubuntu sont très sollicités : c'est normal. L'installateur a besoin de récupérer quelques paquets de langues supplémentaires dans Internet et peut prendre un certain temps à passer à l'étape suivante dans ces cas-ci.

@Siap : je suis perplexe également sur ce point. Je me demande [Edit : la réponse est dans le post #10] si le fait que zizkiller puisse utiliser la session live n'est pas une preuve que le processus d'installation s'est interrompu d'une façon ou d'une autre. Mais je n'en suis pas sûr du tout car je n'ai jamais eu la curiosité de chercher à "utiliser" la session live (en lançant Firefox par exemple) pendant l'installation sur disque dur.

@ malbo +1 jamais testé non plus ... d'où ma question sur cette "utilisation" . Que veut-elle dire ??? Puis je suis toujours parti du principe que pendant l'install:  "va boire une clope et fume un café mon pote ... tu joueras après avec ton bijou" cool

@ Siap j'ai compris il faut que je le laisse sans l'utilisé mais comme il l'installé toute la nuit et que au réveille j'ai vu qu'il ne l'avait pas encore terminer  je n'ai pas eu le choix car il fallait que j'ai une réponse.
@malbo ok alors il faut que j’arrête l'installation puis lorsque je redémarre il faut pas que je clique sur "télécharger les mises à jours."
En espérant que sa va marcher je vais cela. Et bien sure je vais allé "boire une clope et fume un café " pendant l'installation. wink

Oui et je te conseillerais de choisir "Autre chose" à l'étape 3 : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/_detail/instal … le_live_cd
En effet, le partitionnement a été fait (bien que l’installation n'ait pas pu aller à son terme) aussi il convient de réutiliser la partition racine déjà existante pour écraser son contenu avec la nouvelle installation. Tu peux t'aider de cette doc : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/parti … eur_ubuntu
Mais ce que tu as à réaliser est tellement simple que cette doc risque de te faire peur plutôt qu'autre chose. En bref, tu as juste à modifier la partition racine : il faudra redéfinir que tu veux l'utiliser, quelle soit en ext4, que son point de montage est / et surtout cocher la case pour qu'elle soit formatée (tout son contenu sera bien écrasé par la nouvelle install)
Tu ne t'occupes que de cette partition et d'aucune autre : il n'y a qu'elle qui est à modifier.

Je viens de me payer une installation de Ubuntu faite depuis une session live de Ubuntu (telle que décrite par zizkiller dans le post #3) et pendant l'installation, je n'ai cessé de naviguer avec Firefox depuis la session live. Cela n'a aucunement perturbé l'installation qui se révèle pleinement fonctionnelle au redémarrage. Cette manip fait suite aux interrogations des posts #6 et #7 plus haut. Il est donc bien possible de naviguer sur internet en session live sans perturber l'installation sur disque dur. Est-ce pour autant à conseiller ? Certainement pas.

Merci pour ce test ... mais je resterai sur ton interrogation:

je pars du principe que j'installe d'abord et j'utilise après .....  d'autant plus que l'install d'ubuntu prend quoi  ..... 30 .... 40 minutes à tout casser ... mais bon nos états d'âmes ou manière de faire ne sont pas à prendre en compte. Attendons zizkiller pour savoir où il en est wink

salut malheureusement j'arrive tjr pas a installé ubuntu.
j'ai suivi tous les étapes même l'étape du partitionnement que malbo m'a conseillé.
mais arrivé à la fin quand il me demande la position geographique il y'a un probleme il s'affiche " input output error sda..etc" il me propose retry ignor cancel . lorsque je clique sur retry ou ignor sa n'avance pas et sa me reaffiche sa. pour m'en debarrassé je clique sur cancel. puis il y'a un autre problème il s'affiche un msg qui dit en gros que le disque de partionnement fonctionne pas correctement et lorsque je clique sur ok. tous s'arrete. je ne comprend plus rien là.

voila ce qui ce passe lorsque je suis ce que tu dis malbo.
j'ai lu sur d'autre forum que lorsque le msg :"input/output error during read on /dev/sda/" s'affiche c'est qu'il ya un problème de disque dur.

Pourrais-tu modifier ton post #14 : tu m'as collé le contenu du fichier boot_info_script.sh alors que je te demande de coller dans ce post #14 le contenu du fichier RESULTS.txt qui se trouve dans le même emplacement que ton fichier boot_info_script.sh.

Le résultat de ton post #19 indique que tu n'aurais plus de table de partition sur le disque dur de 500 Go. Si tu as des documents précieux à sauver sur ce disque dur, je te prie de poster dans ce fil initié par rmy : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=447877
Comme expliqué dans le post #1 de ce fil, tu as seulement à y donner le lien vers la présente discussion et pas à raconter ta vie. Si rmy peut t'aider, il interviendra dans la présente discussion.

2 Questions :
1-

udisks --show-info /dev/sda

2-Comment ça se fait qu'il y ait des "documents précieux" à récupérer sur ce disque alors que tu faisais dessus une install d'ubuntu ? Était-ce une installation sur une petite partition ? Tu n'as pas sauvé tes documents depuis ubuntu avant de procéder à l'install ? Bref, donne les détails de ta perte de données, pour qu'on aille au plus vite possible au but.

salut rmy
au faite mon windows a eu un probleme et j'ai décider d'installe linux. et bien sure j'ai recuperer tous mes documents importants en "essayant" ubuntu ( je crois qu'on dit dans une session live peut-etre) après avoir récuperer tous mes documents j'ai lancer l'installation et là sa bloque.
par contre je ne vois pas c'est quoi ces "documents précieux" . je ne sais pas ce que c'est.
et pour info j'ai completement perdu wondows alors pour te repondre je ne crois pas que c'est une installation "sur une petite partition".
Voila je ne suis pas vraiment caler en informatique donc dit moi si mes réponse ne sont pas clair.

Si très claires. En fait il ln'y a donc pas de récupération de données à effectuer puisque tu as déjà récupéré tes données. Ton disque est probablement en fin de vie et le plus simple est donc d'en changer…

Pour t'en assurer, maintenant qu'il n'y a pas de risque pour les données, tu peux utiliser

badblocks

qui va vérifier la présence de secteurs défectueux.

SI tu te débarrasses de ton vieux disque, je suis bien sûr preneur pour ajouter les pièces au stock, au cas où un jour ça puisse aider quelqu'un.
