mémoire mangée
installe toute propre de feisty fawn. installation minimale sur un serveur virtuel (xen) avec 356 de mémoire vive et 256 de swap. au début tout va bien: 40 mo de mémoire vive occupée. je décide d'installer lighttpd en pensant que ma mémoire ne sera pas avalée mais en fait si. j'en suis à 212 de pris sur la mémoire vive sans aucune base de donnée installée ni service d'email.
donc je cherche à comprendre. ci-dessous les process en cours:

c'est normal
l'important c'est
Swap: 257000k total, 0k used, 257000k free, 50216k cached
le 0k used t'indique que ton poste de swappe pas, donc pas de pb.
cherche sur google pour avoir une explication detaillée de la gestion de la memoire par linux

merci. mais je ne voulais pas dire que le serveur n'était pas performant cela dit. je m'interrogeais seulement sur le passage de 40 mo au début de l'install et des 212 un jour après.

pour savoir la mémoire utilisé par les programmes démarrer, il faut soutraire le buffer et le cached a ce qui est utilisé
212 Mo - 125 Mo - 50 Mo = 37 Mo
ou plus simple :
free -m
et regardé la ligne des -/+ buffers/cache
voila a+
