Lenteur & gel d'applications sous Feisty

Bonjour,

Je constate sous Feisty des lenteurs et parfois des gels complets des applications pendant plusieurs minutes. Généralement, j'ai les applications suivantes qui sont ouvertes :

Thunderbird
Firefox

avec accès réseau par Wifi

J'ai systématiquement un gel des applications lorsque je lance par exemple le gestionnaire de paquets Synaptic.

Cela devient très handicapant, car certaines fois je n'arrive plus à prendre la main sur le système.

J'ai installé Beryl et l'ai retiré pensant que c'était le cause du dysfonctionnement.

Je cherche une âme secourable... merci d'avance

Problème similaire dont je n'arrive pas à identifier précisément la source:
Certaines applications: en particuliers gthumb et firefox on tendance à geler (ou freezer) aléatoirement pendant quelques secondes à quelques minutes. Puis tout semble revenir dans l'ordre. Le freeze n'est pas complet. On dirait une surcharge de ladu processeur . je vais essayer de monitorer avec l'applet de panel s'il y a une suractivité de la CPU.

Bonjour
même problème chez moi avec Ff et Tbird: lenteurs soudaines, mais pas de gel complet. Néanmoins très ennuyeux.
Je crois que c'est depuis que j'ai installé les effets 3D.
Au premier qui trouve la solution...

J'ai désactivé les effets 3D mais rien n'y a changé vraiment.

Petites précisions : je subis un ralentissement des applications sad et parfois un gel momentané (qui peut s'étendre parfois pendant plusieurs minutes mad).

J'ai désactivé les effets 3D. Faut-il désormais plus de 512Mo de RAM pour faire tourner Ubuntu ?

dites les gars...
si vous passez en console pendant les gels (ctrl+alt+F1, avec un peu de patience), est-ce que vous avez une ligne du genre :

hdc : drive not ready for command

qui se répète ?

moi ça me fait ça, et je vois d'ailleurs pas le rapport (hdc = lecteur cd-rom, et quand ça m'arrive j'ai aucun disque dans le lecteur).

parce-que si c'est le cas, je m'abonne au sujet big_smile

ps : mes gels se font sur firefox (bizarrement plus sur certains sites) parfois synaptic, plus souvent avec beryl mais pas seulement).

(j'ai trouvé ça en faisant un dmesg dans un terminal)
Il n'y a pas d'ata chez moi
on se dirigerait peut-être vers un pb de gestion de périphérique.

ça me fait pareil sous firefox et thunderbird, j'ai compiz d'activé
config :
p4 3.2, 1024 ddr2, 3 disques dur sata et carte nvidia pcx 5300.

manger du castor et vous sauverez un arbre !

Bonjour, j'ai rencontré tous ces problèmes de gel et de lenteur exaspérante au démarrage après la mise à jour vers Feisty : environ 2mn30 pour démarrer et 200 Mo de ram consommées dès le démarrage ! Après pas mal de recherches et autres, j'ai tout simplement désactivé Beagle à l'ouverture de session et là, 1mn30 pour démarrer et 155 Mo de ram avec plusieurs gdesklets sur le bureau ! Ca correspond à ce que j'avais avant la mise à jour.

ben moi ce sont des gels complets et répétitif de gnome. mes RAM ne présente pas de problème et mon système est sains.

Aïe aïe aïe, autant de message à propos des gels d'appli et toujours pas de resolu, je m'inquiète !
En ce qui me concerne j'ai un asus => intel core duo ATI mobility radeon X1600 256 MB avec 2Go de ram !
Tout marchais nikel ( beryl et tout ) avant feisty mais depuis la mise à jour, ca n'arrète pas. Tout comme questar freeze plus ou moins long de certaine appli : kate firefox amarok kopete et meme le terminal...

Edit: Si vous voulez voir ce qu'il c'est passé sur votre pc lors des freeze, vous pouvez aussi faire :

syslogd-listfiles
puis vous ouvrez le fichier afficher avec un editeur text. ( chez moi, ca devrais être pareil chez vous : /var/log/syslog )

moi je suis repassé sous edgy
j'ai installe feisty le 19/4 et je l'ai gardé jusqu'a hier mais vraiment trop de problemes ...

montage , demontage de disque dur externe plus qu'aleatoire ( pendant les transferts de fichiers , ca craint ! )
freeze total ou rebbot lorsque j'ecoute mes mp3 stokés sur un disque dur externe avec quod libet , rhytmbox ou xmms

bref je suis repassé a edgy , et depuis 2 jours , plus aucun probleme ( je n'avais jamais eu de probleme sous edgy de toute maniere ..  quand j'entend dire que edgy est une version buggué ...:rolleyes:  )

bref , j'aime pas critiquer ubuntu mais ce kernel est pas mal buggué

ff notamment se gèle sur des site un peu lourds en flash type dofus, à la déconnection. Je suis souvent obligé de redémarrer. Je n'utilise pas tb, mais sylpheed-claws-gtk2, et suis sous xfce, sans beryl et toutes ces applis un peu lourdes...

Pareil mais avec toutes les aplications ou sinon c'est toutes celles que j'utilise :
Firefox, wine (cs 1.6,cs,source), open office,beryl (qui ne marche pas tongue),et gimp.
c'est les seules qui me viennent en tête avec lequelles ça à planter.
Help pour toutes les bonnes ames en perdition sur ce post !!

j'ai le même problème avec toutes les applications, avec ou sans XGL/3D. Au bout d'un moment, il faut un temps fou pour faire apparaître le moindre menu. Je ne parle même pas de lancer une nouvelle fenêtre...
Je rajoute aussi le montage/démontage problématique des périphériques externes .

Bon j'ai moi aussi des soucis du même ordre (gel du pc pendant 30 sec - 1 minute) principalement quand je regarde des videos avec vlc ou un peu moins souvent avec firefox.

Ce qui est curieux c'est que j'ai un autre pc sous feisty ou je n'ai jamais eu ce problème.

J'ai l'impression que le problème aurait un rapport entre cette version du noyau (2.6.20) et la gestion des disques dur. Je vais essayer de recompiler un noyau pour tester.

Si tu es trouve plus sur la piste des disques durs, merci de nous tenir au courant.
Sinon, j'ai la sensation que la fréquence des gels diminuent au cours de la session.

cdmoulins, ta machine qui gèle temporairement, c'est cette qui est sous kubuntu ou celle sous ubuntu? (histoire de voir si ça viendrait pas de gnome) car il me semble aussi que le nombre de gels à bien baissé depuis les dernières mises à jour de gnome.

Pour moi c'est firefox qui pose problème quoique pour open-office j'ai un doute.
Je ne pense pas que ce soit un pb de disque (je n'ai pas de sata).  De toute façon c'est depuis la MAJ feisty.
Dès que plusieurs onglets de firefox sont lancés alors firefox prend 99% du temps CPU d'où le freeze  (à voir en lançant top dans un terminal). C'est vraiment pénible, ça m'a obligé d'aller pleurer hier au soir sous windows$ ce qui est vraiment du sadisme par une pareille soirée. sad
