WOW 3.3 + Ubuntu 12.10 -> Ecran bleu/vert/rouge...
Bonjour,
Cela fais à peu près un an que j’essaie de faire tourner correctement wow sur mon ubuntu, et j'obtiens toujours périodiquement des crashs graphiques.
Parfois cela tiens pendant 1mois sans soucis, et puis un jour, j’enchaîne les crashs les uns après les autres. Je m'acharne pendant une semaine, avant de changer drastiquement mes configurations, et puis cela repart... Mais cette fois ci, la semaine est passée et je ne trouve toujours pas de configuration stable...
J'en viens donc à demander de l'aide! Amis linuxiens, vous êtes mon seul espoir...
Les crashs:
-> Parfois des écrans bleu, parfois vert, parfois orange, parfois blanc cassé. Et des fois, rien de tout cela, mon écran réagis simplement comme si je l'avais débranché du PC.
-> Le son continu, que ce soit TeamSpeak ou le fond sonore de WOW.
-> Je suppose que les entrées clavier / souris marchent toujours, mais n'ai jamais pu le vérifier.
Concernant l'ampleur, parfois je peux jouer 3min avant que cela arrive, parfois je ne peux même pas me connecter au jeu.
Je suis forcé d'appuyer sur le bouton reset du PC, pour redémarrer la machine.

- J'ai fais un benchmark avec heaven, en qualité high ça passe nickel, en qualité ultra je n'ai pas osé le laisser finir, la température montant du GPU avoisinant les 98°C

Tessellation: Disabled- j'ai installé les drivers CUDA, pour faire des calculs (rien a voir avec WOW) et cela fonctionne nickel (j'ai multiplié par 10 ma puissance de calcul)
- la température de mon GPU lors des crash n'ai jamais a plus de 50°C
- je n'ai pas installé wow, j'utilise une version déjà installée qui a toujours parfaitement fonctionné sur divers windows/linux
- je pense qu'il y a un lien avec rtkit-daemon, mais je n'ai pas réussi a trouver des infos pertinente et en corrélation avec le sujet... C'est ce qui m'a poussé a tester le renice.
Pourquoi je pense qu'il y a un lien?

Pour l'instant j'ai finalement réussi a ne pas crash dans l'immédiat, en mettant dans le wtf/config.wtf:

J'ai pu jouer toute la soirée d'hier sans problème...
Et ce soir je rentre, je peux lancer le jeu, mais au bout de 5/10minutes, crash...
Aucune config n'a changée, et j'ai bien vérifié.
Personne pour me donner des pistes, des conseils ?

En repartant sur la piste de rtkit-daemon, je suis tombé la dessus:

du coup j'ai fais un memtest, et aucune erreur...
je vais me repencher sur le renice !
