Bonjour,
A la suite de ma dernière mise à jour Ubuntu, le noyau 4.2.0.30 ne me permet plus de démarrer automatiquement comme avant.
Je suis maintenant obligé de sélectionner manuellement au démarrage dans le Grub le noyau 4.2.0.16 qui lui, fonctionne et lance le système. Cela fonctionne, mais peut-on améliorer cette procédure, pour que je puisse obtenir le démarrage automatique comme avant cette mise à jour ?
Merci d'avance pour vos conseils.

Ordinateur Pavilion dv6 - 64 bits avec Ubuntu 15.10. avec Windows 7 installé d'origine.

Linux tout seul sur HP Pavilion DV7 et Acer Aspire T650, Canon MG3650 en wifi

Donnes les informations sur ton système  :

lsb_release -a
printenv XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP
printenv GDMSESSION
uname -r
sudo apt-get update
find /etc/apt -type f -name '*.list*' -exec bash -c 'echo -e "\n$1\n"; nl -ba "$1"' _ '{}' \

et les informations pouvant éventuellement guider les contributeurs  :

df -h
df -i
dpkg -l | grep -Ei "linux-(g|h|i|lo|si|t)"

en utilisant le :   retour utilisable de commande

Peux tu donner tes retours entre balises code, comme il t'a été indiqué ?
Là c'est illisible...

Passe aussi : 

sudo sed -i 's/^deb cdrom/# deb cdrom/' /etc/apt/sources.list

Ensuite va dans 

software-properties-manager

Remets "serveurs France" à la place de bouyghes

Puis passe 

sudo apt-get autoclean
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade
sudo update-grub

(donne le résultat des trois derniers)

Comment as-tu installé le kernel .30 ?

Bonjour, toutes mes excuses pour le précédent post. Ceci suite à mon problème de noyau "4.2.0.30" qui ne fonctionne pas ? Actuellement Ubuntu fonctionne avec 4.2.0.16.

Bon.. tu n'as pas du passer tout ce que je t'ai indiqué, on va s'y prendre autrement :

Passe un 

gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Dans le fichier qui s'ouvre tu remplaces tout par tout ce pavé (descend l'ascenseur wink ) :

Puis tu fermes en enregistrant.

On va regarder tes PPA, donne le retour de

ls /etc/apt/sources.list.d

Puis 

sudo apt-get autoclean
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt update

Donne le retour du update.

Je viens d'arriver. Donc suite aux deux commandes préconisées = pas de changement. Mais je vais refaire la dernière commande (sans et avec sudo) comme indiquée. Et je te donne le résultat avant et après la relance du système.

Il semble que les mises à jour sont arrivées.
Passe un

 sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade

Donc comme promis je viens aux nouvelles. Effectivement il y a semble t-il un sérieux problème pour ce kernel 4.2.0.30 sad

Pour ce qui me concerne après avoir fait les commandes indiquées : Rien.
J'ai ensuite relancé le système dans l'ordre comme suit : 

  • 1

4.2.0.30 - généric = Rien.

  • 2

4.2.0.30 - (upstart) Le logo Ubuntu s'affiche mais ne s'active pas.

  • 3

4.2.0.30 - (recovery mode) Seul le fond d'écran apparaît mais sans aucune barre d'outils ou de menu.

Si ces renseignements peuvent-être utiles !

Ceci dit je vais faire de nouveau les commandes que tu m'indiques. Et je te tiendrai au courant. Merci encore de ta gentillesse.
C'est dommage que ce genre de problème apparaisse lors d'une " mise à jour ", cela risque d'en décourager certain, surtout les personnes qui s'intéressent sérieusement à Linux et aux os libres.

As-tu mis nomodeset ?
Les soucis de kernel sont rares (ils touchent d'ailleurs plus les versions intermédiaires que les LTS, sur les LTS, les devs doivent être plus prudents dans leurs releases)

Au sujet de nomodeset, non c'est vrai je n'ai pas cette option au démarrage. Cela dit pour l'insérer dans le démarrage il faut apparemment modifier en partie la fin d'une ligne de commande et en tant que root, alors j'avoue être un peu inquiet de la procédure simple en apparence, mais pour un résultat improbable (au vu d'autres posts). J'hésite à procéder à cette modification surtout par manque d'expérience.
Qu'en penses-tu ?

J'ai donc mis nomodeset en suivant la procédure indiquée. Mais résultat, comme je le craignais malheureusement je n'ai plus rien du tout cette fois. Même le kernel 4.0.2 .16 ne veut plus rien savoir ! Dans les deux cas le fond d'écran s'affiche avec la demande de mot de passe, mais ensuite sans rien ni barre d'outils et ni menu quelconques, tout reste bloqué.

Donc si c'est réversible, indique-moi la procédure détaillée à suivre pour désactiver le nomodeset pour que je puisse au moins redémarrer comme précédemment.

Je peux t'écrire sur le forum, puisque je suis sur Windows 7.

Le plus simple en principe est d’appuyer sur la touche majuscule au démarrage, puis F6 et là tu enlèves nomodeset. (voir le 6.1 là : https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/kernel
Puis une fois démarré tu réédites grub selon la même méthode que ci-dessus : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … #p17212971 et tu supprimes nomodeset.
si ça ne fonctionne pas il y a un peu plus fastidieux.
Etonnant que ça ne fonctionne pas sinon...

La touche majuscule enfoncée, puis la touche de fonction F6 et j'arrive sur l'écran en question. Je descends sur la ligne Linux et arrive à enlever " nomodeset ", puis en appuyant sur la touche F10 cela devrait validé tout ça, mais non. Lorsque je relance le système tout reste toujours bloqué.

Et en plus en revenant sur la page précédente, le fameux " nomodeset " est encore là...

Bref, peut-être que quelque chose m'échappe ?

Encore un conseil, et puis sinon j'irai migré sur une autre distribution qui nous fera, je l'espère, perdre moins de temps.
