Qualcomm Atheros AR5413/AR5414 aucun réseau wifi détecté

Bonjour,

sous ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS installé comme système d'exploitation pour un PC fixe dans lequel se trouve une carte Qualcomm Atheros AR5413/AR5414 (wlp2s5), aucun des réseaux existants aux alentours n'est visible, et lorsque je les ajoute manuellement par l'interface "Modification des connexions", il m'est impossible de m'y connecter.

merci de t'être penché sur mon problème...
J'avais bien vu ce message, moi aussi, au cours de mes recherches, et fait le nécessaire.

Il y a deux réseaux wifi disponibles là où j'effectue les tests : une livebox (désormais configurée en wpa2 AES) et une vieille borne airport en "wpa2 personnel" qui crée un autre wifi local.

Malgré ce paramétrage, je ne parviens pas du tout à me connecter ni à l'un ni à l'autre, et ni l'un ni l'autre n'apparaissent dans la liste des réseaux sans fil au survol de l'icône du réseau dans la barre des tâches près de l'horloge.

C'est d'ailleurs cela qui m'ennuie le plus, car l'ordinateur en question est destiné à être utilisé dans un autre lieu, par une association pour laquelle je le retape, et j'ignore si j'aurais accès et aurais l'autorisation de modifier les paramètres de sécurité du réseau wifi là-bas, donc j'aimerais vraiment en priorité comprendre et résoudre ce problème-là :
