Obligé de démarrer 10/20/30 fois - 16.04 - [RESOLU]
Bonjour à tous,
récemment, j'ai installé une cliente en remplacement de son système neuf (un fameux système connu qui a planté complètement au bout de 3 mois suite à mises à jour incontrôlables et à risque).
Je lui ai encore bien vanté les mérites de mon système Linux, mais une fois installé : il démarre sur un écran totalement noir 9 fois sur 10.
En insistant assez longtemps, on arrive sur une session impeccable, et tout va bien.
Une idée où regarder ?

Il faudra plus d'info :
1) modèle de la machine
2) version et modèle de la distribution.
as-tu tester une session live avant l'installation ?

merci pour le tuyau, 16.04 LTS sur un pc atx HP i5@2.70, Gallium 0.4 NV117
J'ai aussi la souris qui gèle quelques secondes 5 fois par minute environ, je sais pas si ça a rapport ou si c'est la transmission avec la tour qui est au sol; je le mets en passant.

Bonjour
Je note que tu réussis à booter avec ton installation tel que c'est fait.
Il est donc totalement inutile que tu modifies quoique ce soit sur ton disque.
Lorsque l'opération de boot est faite, on se moque de savoir qu'il n'y avait pas de partition BIOS-BOOT puisque cela boote car le MBR pointe directement sur le fichier image qui est dans la partition racine.
Tant que tu ne déplaceras pas le fichier /boot/grub/i386-pc/core.img, cela bootera.
Si un jour tu déplaces ce fichier, tu devras créer une partition primaire supplémentaire de 1 Mo non formatée avec un drapeau bios-grub pour que boot-repair puisses réparer s'il n'est pas mis à jour d'ici là.
PS; Le boot-info indique
boot-info is executed in installed-session (Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS, xenial, Ubuntu, x86_64 => C'est donc la version 64 bits qu'il faut et non la version 32 bits
Mais dans l'ensemble, il me semble préférable de passer par la fonctionnalité 'pilotes additionnels' de l'application "logiciel et mise à jour".

Les pilotes NVidia proposés dans Paramètres/Pilotes additionnels, encore une fois sont une catastrophe. Nouveau fonctionne pas trop mal, et c'est peut-être tout de même lui qui nous donne le symptôme de démarrage fou.
Comment peut-on savoir qu'il faut installer telle ou telle version ? Il y en a tellement, et c'est tellement long d'en sortir quand ça plante.
J'ai vu un type dernièrement qui disait avoir essayé 330 et toutes les versions, puis 331 et finalement dedans avoir trouvé que 331.1.0.2.3.2.5.8 (je dis n'imp) fonctionnait parfaitement, alors que 331.1.0.2.3.2.5.7 était horrible...
Bougron : bien d'accord, on entend le hdd charger les données, passer sur fond violet, et continuer longtemps, genre session complète, mais l'écran affiche Pas de Signal juste avant Lightdm.
Le démarrage en mode recovery fonctionne.
Je suis passé chez la cliente ce jour.
Pourrais-tu m'en dire plus sur ta phrase

Je ne vois pas quoi en faire. J'ai bien installé cette personne avec la même version que tous mes clients qui sont en 64 bits (je parle de ce qu'on voit basiquement dans A propos de mon pc"

Problème résolu en installant au pif le pilote Nvidia 367 proposé dans les dépôts.
