Système lent
Bonjour,
Je vient d'installer la version 14.05 mais le système est lent. Tout rame et le processeur chauffe alors que je possède 1OO Giga d'espace disque, un processeur de 1.73 Gigahertz et 2 Giga de RAM.
Il y a un bug qui été trouvé et j'ai suivi ce tuto ---> https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=241092
Malgré tout, il n'est pas plus performant. Mon PC est un Dell Latitude D610

J'ai installé toutes les versions de Xubuntu et toutes rames. Cette version-ci est celle qui rame le moins et celle qui s'est débugé pour détecter ma wifi.
A force d'installer et réinstaller cette version, une erreur interne s'est produite, j'ai envoyé le rapport d'erreur, je l'éteint, je le rallume le lendemain et surprise, ma wifi est détectée.
Je n'ai rien fait de spécial, le problème s'est résolu seul, mais cette wifi m'a tellement prit du temps et la tête que je ne souhaite pas changer de distribution, ni de version pour ne pas perdre celle-ci.

Eh bien, 53 heures, c'est un disque neuf, sauf changement de PCB (le circuit imprimé).
Mais un disque de 53 heures avec déjà 3 nouvelles tentatives de réallocations de secteurs, car

Donc je t'invite à surveiller
- l'expiration du délai de garantie
- et l'évolution régulière de
cd; sudo smartctl -s on -a /dev/sda > HD_HTS541612J9AT00_smart_$(date +%Y%m%d-%Hh%M).txt
avec cette commande, le retour de smartctl n'apparaîtra pas dans le terminal mais sera directement enregistré dans ton home, dans un fichier daté dont tu pourras coller ici le contenu.

Pentium M + 2 Go de RAM ? Essaye plus léger que Xubuntu. Regarde le lien 1 de ma signature. (Conseil perso : DFlinux

Caribou, j'ai visité ton lien et testé la distribution que tu me conseille DFlinux. Celle-ci me plaît bien, la wifi est détectée et plus fluide que Xubuntu mais il y a quand même une petite lenteur dans l'ouverture des applications et surtout le surf sur le web. Je ne comprend pas, car le matériel n'est pas médiocre, j'ai tout de même 2 giga de ram, 1.73 gigahertz de processeur et 120 giga d'espace. Avec cette distribution, l'execution devrait être fluide comme sur XP. Moko138 a remarqué un problème sur mon disque dur, pourtant neuf, est ce que ce serait la cause de ce ralentissement ? Et ce fameux bug "host" concerne-t'il aussi cette distribution DFlinux ?

ls /etc/apt/sources.list.d -1
Les 2 premières commandes n'ont pas de retour et c'est normal : elle créent des commandes dans un fichier, la 3e doit par contre avoir un retour.

C'est un peu mieux mais j'entend toujours le processeur qui chauffe et n'est pas rapide comme l'éclair.
J'ai l'intention d'installer DFLinux recommandé par Caribou, est ce que ces réglages seront toujours valables si je change de distribution ?

Oui, ils sont applicables à toute tout distribution (certaines ont déjà un réglage efficace d'origine : Manjaro par exemple a une swappiness de 1 par défaut)
Tu peux vérifier le réglage avec :
cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness

Et passer d'une base Ubuntu à une base Debian devrait consommer moins de ressources et donc moins tirer sur ton processeur oui

Impossible d'installer DFLinux, je bloque à l'étape partitionner le disque.
Lorsque je sélectionne la partition déjà existante et clique sur continuer, le système me met, aucun système de fichiers n'a été choisi comme racine.
Et quand je souhaite modifier la partition j'ai le message "Le redimensionnement est impossible" Pour une raison non identifiée, il n'est pas possible de redimensionner cette partition. Veuillez consulter le /var/log/sylog ou la quatrième console virtuelle pour obtenir des précisions"
Evidemment je ne sais pas consulter le fichier /var/log ni atteindre la console virtuelle.
Je fait quoi ?
