Ports USB non fonctionnels sur portable Toshiba L670-11F
Bonjour à tous,
Je suis nouveau ici et débutant sur l'environnement Ubuntu. Je sollicite votre aide vis à vis d'un problème que j'ai sur un portable que l'on m'a passé pour un dépannage informatique.
Voici le topo :
Le PC est un Toshiba Satellite Pro L670-11F qui avait initialement un environnement Windows 10. On m'a passé ce portable pour que j'aide à le remettre en état car il était tellement vérolé qu'il fallait 2 heures pour atteindre le bureau Windows et ne pouvoir quasiment rien faire. A ce moment là, les ports USB ne fonctionnaient pas du tout. Cependant, la propriétaire du portable m'a affirmé qu'ils fonctionnaient avant son gros problème informatique.
Face à cette situation, j'ai fait le choix de télécharger puis installer (par image de DVD) la version de Xubuntu 18-04 32 bits. L'installation a magnifiquement bien marché, rendant le PC de nouveau opérationnel. Cependant, les ports USB 2.0 restent toujours non fonctionnels. Il n'est pas improbable que ce soit les précédents problèmes qui aient par exemple désactivés ces ports.
Je précise que le PC possède 2 ports USB 2.0 (sur la droite du pc) et 1 port e-SATA / HDMI / Lecteur de carte SD (sur la gauche). Ce sont les 2 ports sur la droite qui ne répondent pas lorsque je mets un support usb. Pas d'alimentation électrique des clefs usb (ou disque dur externe), pas de reconnaissance ni montage du média.
J'ai écumé les forums depuis 2 à 3 jours sans trouver de solutions à mon problème.
Voici ce que j'ai déjà essayé :
Regarder si les ports USB pouvaient être activés / désactivés dans le BIOS et je n'ai pas trouvé de ligne où réaliser cela
Eteindre le PC, enlever la batterie et vider l'alimentation électrique
Vu sur un forum pour un problème d'usb également, éditer le grub avec la commande
sudo -H gedit /etc/default/grubpuis modifier la ligne suivante avec
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=”acpi=force irqpoll”
Tout cela n'a pas fonctionné et je continue donc à chercher le moyen de réactiver ces 2 ports.

Salut,
[ 1.756335] hub 1-0:1.0: USB hub foundJe suis pas spécialiste, mais il me semble que ton USB est bloqué/verrouillé depuis ou après le Boot !
Sauf erreur, il faut modifier GRUB mais pas de la façon que tu nous as indiqué.
J'ai trouvé CA pour Ubuntu 14.04
Tu avais trouvé un début de piste de solution...

Malheureusement, j'ai déjà essayé cette manip également, Ares.
En l'occurence, j'ai essayé :
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash usbcore.autosuspend=-1"Puis également la variante décrite sur un autre site:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash usbcore.autosuspend_delay_ms=-1"... mais cela ne fonctionne pas pour le problème que j'ai sur ce PC.
Autre piste : J'ai lancé une commande lsusb -v qui donne beaucoup d'infos. Je m'étonne de voir qu'un paramètre MaxPower est à 0mA. Est ce que cela pourrait expliquer que les ports ne soient pas alimentés ?
Je vous mets le résultat de la commande complète ci dessous. On voit notamment que la Webcam possède un MaxPower 500mA et doit donc être fonctionnelle. :

J'ai installé hier cette application Powertop.
De ce que je comprends, cela permet d'optimiser la consommation d'énergie d'un PC concernant l'écran et les périphériques notamment.
Je n'ai pas vraiment abouti à rendre les ports USB de nouveau fonctionnels ...

Bonjour Naziel, la commande que tu proposes ne me renvoie rien. Je n'ai pas cette application tlp installée sur ce pc.
Au vu de vos réponses, je commence à me poser plusieurs questions, auxquelles vous pourrez peut être apporter vos impressions :
Est ce possible que les 2 ports USB 2.0 soient simplement HS ? Si c'était le cas, est ce qu'il serait possible de le détecter par certaines commandes ?
Est ce que cela vaudrait le coup de démonter le PC et essayer de débrancher / rebrancher la connexion avec la carte mère ? Jusqu'à présent, je voulais essayer d'éviter de le faire car je ne suis pas très sûr de mon coup ...
Vis à vis du BIOS, à mon sens, je n'ai pas vu d'option permettant de mettre : USB "enabled". Je me souviens d'avoir une option PCI LAN "enabled". Est ce que vous me conseillez de regarder d'autres mots clés en particulier ?
Je ne sais pas aujourd'hui comment mettre à jour le BIOS de ce PC et surtout si cela est risqué en étant sur un OS indépendant. Je viens de regarder sur le site de Toshiba : j'ai rentré le serial du PC et cela m'a permis de récuperer un fichier BIOS_V230_WIN.exe. J'avoue que j'ai un peu d'appréhension à me lancer là dedans. Des conseils ? Déjà est ce que ce fichier .exe va s'éxecuter dans un environnement Ubuntu ?

Oui mais tu as lu en retour :
tlp
La commande « tlp » n'a pas été trouvée, mais peut être installée avec :
sudo apt install tlpDonc c'est simple pour installer "tlp"
Ce qui suit est un avis perso
1) les ports USB ne sont pas HS, c'est un défaut d'alimentation.
2) si tu as les compétences et sait repérer un fusible "cms"....
3)Il faut aussi regarder en amont de l'USB ex : AHCI ou xHCI dans le BIOS
4) je suppose qu'il faut windows... mais je n'utilise pas windows depuis plus de 15 ans... je sais je suis chanceux !
