Freeze après install Ubuntu sur Acer Predator Helios 300

Bonjour,
Je viens d'installer, non sans mal, la dernière version d'Ubuntu (18.04) sur un Acer Prredator Helios 300.
Ubuntu fonctionne bien sauf que lorsque je clique sur l'icone "Paramètres" en haut à droite ou que je clique sur l'icone "éteindre" située à côté, ubuntu freeze. Du coup, pas d'autre choix que d'éteindre en maintenant la touche d'arrêt / démarrage.
J'ai pensé que cela était du à la carte graphique Nvidia (une GTX 1050 Ti), j'ai donc installé les drivers :

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
sudo apt update
sudo apt install nvidia-384 nvidia-settings

Auriez-vous des conseils à me donner ?

En fait après avoir redémarré pas de soucis.
DOnc la mise à jour des pilotes graphiques a bien fonctionné!

Je souhaite ajouter ton modèle d'ordi dans la Liste des portables Acer mais je constate qu'il y a plusieurs modèles qui répondent à la désignation "Acer Predator Helios 300" que tu as donnée. S'agit-il du modèle PH317-52-726Z qu'on peut voir sur cette page : https://www.fnac.com/PC-Portable-Acer-P … 665895/w-4
Si ce n'est pas ce modèle, je te prie d'indiquer le nom exact de ton modèle dans ta réponse.

C'est le : PC Portable Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-52-726Z NH.Q3EEF.017 17.3" Gaming

Pour info, voici ce que j'ai du faire dans le BIOS pour que je puisse installer ubuntu sur cette machine (sinon freeze de la souris et du clavier sur le premier écran d'install)
1/ J'ai renseigné un mot de passe pour le BIOS
2/ J'ai désactivé le Secure Boot (BOOT)
3/ J'ai activé le boot avec la touche F12 (MAIN)

Parfait. C'est donc le modèle que j'avais cité dans le post #3. Merci pour les infos que tu as indiquées pour le Boot.
Pour donner un exemple d'install réussie dans ce modèle, je te prie de faire un Boot-Info depuis une session de ton Ubuntu 18.04 installé et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

J'ai également un freeze à l'ouverture de session.
Je récap :  j'ai installé Ubuntu 18.04 sur un Helios 300 avec 1050ti - désactivé le touchpad avancé, mis en AHCI et l'installation a semblé bien se passer avec la commande moprobe.blacklist=nouveau... super
Mais là au redémarrage après avoir tapé le mot de passe de session... plus rien, écran mauve et freeze du pointeur

Compte tenu du peu de place dont tu disposes pour Ubuntu, je te suggère de supprimer les 3 partitions sda5, sda6 et sda7 puis de faire une installation toute neuve de Ubuntu dans la place libérée. Tu pourras sélectionner "Autre chose" comme tu as fait pour la présente installation mais tu n'auras à créer qu'une seule partition - la partition racine - qui va pouvoir faire une taille de 52,5 Go. Le fichier swap et /home seront automatiquement créés dans la partition racine lors de la poursuite de l'installation .

EDIT : je viens d'ajouter ton modèle Predator Helios 300 PH317-52-726Z dans la Liste des portables « Acer »
Pour mémoire, ce modèle visible ici est équipé d'un processeur Intel core i7-8750H et d'une carte graphique dédiée "Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti 4 Go"

Je te remercie beaucoup pour avoir pris le temps de me conseiller sur les partitions. J'avais lu dans un tuto quelque part sur le web qu'il fallait a la mano créer les 3 partitions mais ça devait être outdated.
Je me refais une installation toute propre ce WE.

Pour info, voici ce que j'ai du faire dans le BIOS pour que je puisse installer ubuntu sur cette machine (sinon freeze de la souris et du clavier sur le premier écran d'install)
1/ J'ai renseigné un mot de passe pour le BIOS
2/ J'ai désactivé le Secure Boot (BOOT)
3/ J'ai activé le boot avec la touche F12 (MAIN)

Pareil que toi j'ai un helios 300 (modele un poil plus récent)

Tu peux dire sur quel onglet et quelle ligne tu as mis ton mdp ?
Et pour desactiver le secure boot ? Est ce lié au fait de renseigner ce mot de passe ? en effet chez moi sou sl'onglet boot ce choix reste grisé et donc bloqué sur "enabled"

Je pose la question car la proc d'install d'une usb live en 1804 lts ne detecte pas le ssd principal pour s'installer à cote de w$ mais uniquement le second disque de 1To qui est la pour les datas...

Hello,
Pour le password, c'est dans l'onglet SECURITY du BIOS (supervisor password).
Pour désactiver le SECURE BOOT, c'est dans l'onglet BOOT du BIOS (secure boot).
Si tu le fais dans l'ordre, peut-être que ça ne sera pas grisé ?

Apres avoir mis un mot de passe dans le "supervisor password" ça a dégrisé le secure boot !
Va comprendre.
