[résolu]problème au démarrage : reboot and sélect proper boot device

Bonjour
Je suis sous Ubuntu depuis plusieurs années et voilà que au démarrage mon ordinateur m'affiche ce message :
Reboot  and select  proper  boot  device  or insert  boot  media  in selected boit device  and  presse  key

Je n'y connais RIEN en informatique  et j'ai urgemment besoin de mon ordinateur pour bosser....
Il y aurait il une belle âme pour m'aider ?? Que dois je faire et pourquoi la machine elle veut plus d'un coup là ??

Tu n'avais pas donné suite à cette demande :

Pour voir l'état du disque dur, il faut installer l'application smartmontools https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/smartmontools avec cette commande

sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends smartmontools 

puis tu publies le retour de cette commande

sudo smartctl -s on -a /dev/sda

Sauf que maintenant, si le PC ne démarre pas sur ce disque, il ne lui reste plus qu'à chercher un autre support.

As-tu autre chose pour lancer ta machine ? Un autre disque dur, une clé usb bootable ?

Ah oui c'est exact ! Je pensais que ça pouvais attendre une semaine ou deux le temps que je fasse ma rentrée en septembre et du coup je ne l'ai pas encore fait... et la je n'ai plus la main je ne peux rien taper il me remets le même message des que j'appuie sur une touche.... mea culpa ça m'apprendra ! Y a t il une solution ? Un truc à tenter ? Je le balance contre un mur l'ordi ou y a t il un peu d'espoir ??

J'ai une clé usb avec laquelle j'ai installé Ubuntu il y a longtemps  c'est la version 16 04 LTS

Tu la branches sur le PC et tu démarres.
Avec un peu de chance, tu devrais pouvoir sauvegarder tes données.

Alors la très très très chelou : je viens de le rallumer et il s'est démarré correctement !!
Que dois je faire ?? Faut il faire une analyse du problème ? Le disque est il entrain de lâcher ??
Je suis déroutée !

Sauvegarde tout de suite tes données. Tu avais prévu de le faire il y a bientôt un mois.

Dans tous les cas, je m'en vais de ce pas sauvegarder mes données !!!

Oui elles sont sauvegardées pour la plupart j'ai lancée direct les dernières sauvegardes quand j'ai vu qu'il se rallumait. Me faudra t il faire autre chose ou bien il est foutu ? J'avoue que le côté surprise surprise aujourd'hui je marche pas ça m'insecurise. Y a t il un truc à faire pour savoir si je dois en changer ou s'il tient encore la route ?

Et bonsoir !
Alors voici la suite des événements : hier mon ordinateur s'est donc rallumé tout seul après plusieurs essais où il me demandait "reboot".
J'ai repris à l'instant le message de départ de xubu1957 pour voir l'état du disque dur. J'ai tapé la commande pour telecharger smartmontool dans  un terminal, il me demande mon mot de passe mais impossible de le taper c'est comme si mon clavier était désactivé...
Que puis je faire ?

Un retour complet doit contenir toutes les lignes,
depuis celle, entière, de la commande

Je suis désolée, autant pour moi, j'avais oublié un s... !! voici donc le retour obtenu avec smartmontools à la commande donnée par xuntu1957 plus haut... Et du coup que disent les médecins ?? Faut intuber l'ordi ou il va s'en sortir ??

Cette erreur est survenue il y a une centaine d'heures.
La cause est certainement un câble défectueux ou mal branché qui fait perdre la liaison.
==> branchement à regarder si possible.

Je vais donc me renseigner pour voir si il n'y a pas un câble défectueux dans l'ordi.
Et donc a priori le dernier incident n'a pas d'explication claire ?
