Installation Ubuntu sur HP Pavilion 17-cd2001nf [Résolu]

Bonjour à tous

Je commence par remercier toute la communauté pour votre aide qui m'a été bien utile ces 10 dernières années.
Habituellement, je n'ai aucun problème pour installer Ubuntu ou linux peu importe la distrib mais depuis 3 jours je suis en boucle avec la nouvelle acquisition.
Peu importe la façon dont j'essaie d'installer, rien n'y fait , je le retrouve toujours avec un message "failed toi start Ubuntu live cd installer" ou "failed Snap deamon" .
Y aurait il une âme charitable pour m'aider svp ?
Je précise que le pc était vendu sans OS

Il y a 2 discussions avec un problème similaire mais je n'ai pas tenté car je n'ai pas trouvé d'infos sur le NOMODESET et le modprobe.blacklist

Le message "failed to start Ubuntu live cd installer", c'est parce que tu utilises un Live DVD. On retrouve ce message dans ce fil : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=2076994
La solution y est donnée : utiliser une Live USB au lieu d'un Live DVD.
Le bug est mentionné dans les "release notes" de Jammy : https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/jammy-je … otes/24668
On peut y lire :
"The Ubuntu Desktop images can be very slow to boot (taking up to 30 minutes) when booted from optical media (DVD) on a a BIOS or UEFI system. This is due to an integrity checker being run against the installation media. A workaround (setting “fsck.mode=skip”) is documented in the relevant bug"

Pour le live USB, j'ai vu ça ce matin mais je n'ai plus de clé USB sous la main . J'irai en acheter une pour voir si ça résout le problème mais je voulais tout essayer avant.
J'ai vu également que ça pouvait prendre du temps et je pense lui avoir laissé suffisamment de temps plus rien ne se passe à l'écran.

Oui, et d'ailleurs cela montre qu'il faut donner tous les détails de ton problème dès le premier post, parce que honnêtement faut deviner que tu utilises encore un DVD. C'est, on va dire assez original en 2023 lol

J'ai vu ne pas être le seul à m'être fait vanné sur ce détail ?
Faut dire que j'ai commencé à utiliser Ubuntu il y a presque 14 ans et j'ai commencé avec des cd d'installation donc je suis resté sur cette technique

Oui moi aussi j'ai commencé en 2008, ça va donc faire 15 ans cette année. Avec "the hardy heron"
Quant tu verras la différence de vitesse avec l'installation depuis une clé USB, tu mettras tous tes DVD à la décharge lol

A ce propos, n'hésite pas à prendre une clé USB de qualité. Moi j'ai une Corsair Voyager depuis des années, de 32 Go et en USB 3.0
Je peux t'assurer qu'elle n'a rien à voir avec toutes les clés USB apacher que j'ai pu récupérer gratuitement à gauche ou à droite !

Grâce à Malbo , j'ai réussi l'installation mais au redémarrage, j'ai un écran noir et une ligne

Je n'ai jamais eu une installation aussi chiante

Cette ligne indique que tout est normal, que le système de fichier est clean et qu'aucune vérification du système de fichiers n'est nécessaire. En bref, tout va bien.

Pourrais-tu faire un Boot-info depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé et donner l'URL de ce Boot-info dans ta réponse afin qu'on puisse voir ton installation ? Motif : j'ai l'intention d'ajouter ton modèle dans la liste des portables HP. Le Boot-info donnera des infos complémentaires.

fourni le boot info a partir de la session live , en mettant la clé , redemarrant l' ordi dessus comme pour installer sauf que tu choisis : essayer sans rien changer .
ensuite installe le boot info et fourni le lien :que te donnera cette commande apres quelques minutes d' analyse :

sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair; sudo apt update; sudo apt install -y boot-info; boot-info

La fin du support de la version 18.04 c'est en avril 2023 il me semble.
Tu comptes installer une autre version bientôt ?

Je voulais installer la 20.04 lts mais c'est la seule distrib que j'ai presque réussi à amener à terme.
Les autres, impossible à les installer.

Je viens seulement de réaliser que j'avais mal compris ton post #12. J'avais compris que tu avais réussi à démarrer une session de ton Ubuntu installé mais en fait, je viens de comprendre que ce n'est pas le cas. Je te suggère de réessayer de faire fonctionner ton Ubuntu installé mais cette fois, il faudra forcer l'affichage du menu Grub (*) au démarrage afin de sélectionner l'entrée qui mentionne "mode de dépannage" (ou recovery mode). Quand tu seras dans le mode de dépannage, tu choisiras "resume" dans le petit menu proposé.

(*) Par défaut, le menu de Grub ne s'affiche pas dans les configurations ne comportant qu'un seul système. Voir paragraphe 4. Utilisation du menu de la doc "GRUB 2 (version Compatibles PC)" pour la façon de forcer l'affichage de ce menu.

J'avais trouvé cette info, de démarrer sur recovery mode mais avec ou sans live cd, je n'ai pas cette proposition.

J'ai essayé l'installation depuis une clé USB et même résultat : failed to live etc etc

J'avoue que je n'ai jamais eu ce soucis, et pourtant j'en ai installé pas mal, et notamment sur des HP.
Par contre, je vérifie toujours, dans le BIOS, si l'UEFI est activé ou non. Dans un premier temps, essaie de déactivé l'UEFI dans le BIOS.

Hallelujah, l'installation de la dernière version de Ubuntu est faite grâce à la commande fsck.mode=skip , c'était la seule chose que je n'avais pas encore essayé.
Le pc démarre sans problème, les maj sont faites .
