Impossible de réinstaller Ubuntu en dual boot - RÉSOLU

J'ai un portable HP probook 650 G2 qui fonctionne depuis l'achat en 2018, je crois, en dual boot Windows10/Ubuntu 16.04. J'ai eu quelques problèmes avec l'interface Ubuntu, les fenêtres qui s'ouvrent avec le coin supérieur gauche planqué derrière le dock (vertical gauche) mais j'ai fait avec, on ne m'a pas trouvé de solution. Je me décide à passer à Ubuntu 20.04 que j'ai sur mon PC fixe aussi en dual boot avec Windows. Je me dis que je vais faire l'upgrade d'abord en 18.04, puis 20.04, mais ça plante déjà avec 18.04, il refuse de faire l'upgrade. Du coup, je cherche Ubuntu 20.04, je crée un DVD d'installation, et je l'installe, il me demande s'il doit remplacer Ubuntu 16.04, je dis OK, et à la fin de l'install, pas de redémarrage, ça bloque sur écran noir avec je ne sais plus quel message qui demande d'installer un OS sur le disque dur.
J'ai fouillé les forums, sans trouver une solution. J'ai trouvé qu'il fallait récupérer boot-info dont le rapport est sur le lien suivant :

J'ai vu des propositions de réparation en fin de rapport mais quelqu'un peut-il me dire comment on procède pour les appliquer, c'est un peu abscons pour moi.
En démarrant sur le DVD, je vois que mes partitions sont restées en place et j'ai une partition Windows qui n'a rien perdu et une partition documents qui n'est pas endommagée non plus. Donc je n'ai rien perdu, il faut juste que je retrouve un démarrage normal.

Une installation d'un ProBook 650 G2, mentionnée dans la Doc liste_portables_hp, au § 15 probook > [RESOLU] Dual boot Windows 10 / Ubuntu 19.10 ne démarre qu'en Windows.

J'en déduis avec une probabilité proche de 100% que windows10 est installé en EFI.
Alors pourquoi as-tu une installation LEGACY? et donc un boot en LEGACY?

Ma proposition
1) Booter en EFI
2) Réinstaller les fichiers de boot EFI de windows et vérifier qu'il boote bien.
Voir méthode deux
Sachant que la dernhttps://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/img/fluxtoolbar/smooth/bt_pre.pngière commande est à adapter afin de prendre la langue française

Bonjour et merci de votre aide.
Pour les questions style pourquoi as-tu une installation Legacy ? ou pourquoi as-tu viré les fichiers de boot de Windows ?
Comme Monsieur Jourdain, j'ai fait tout ça sans savoir ce que je faisais, encore que, je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit moi qui ai fait ça. Quand j'ai mis le DVD, j'ai été surpris qu'il me demande simplement si je voulais que la nouvelle version d'Ubuntu remplace l'ancienne mais sans jamais faire mention d'un boot avec Windows, et après ça, plus de démarrage.
Personnellement, je n'ai rien viré.
D'après ce que je comprends, il me faudrait le CD d'installation de Windows mais je ne l'ai pas. C'est un PC pro que j'ai acquis pré-installé et il ne m'a pas été fourni de CD Windows avec.
Y a-t-il un autre moyen ??

Le plus simple serait de ne plus utiliser de DVD. Il est possible que ce type de boot qui s'est déroulé en LEGACY soit la cause.
1) Achète une clé USB ou un disque externe.
2) Télécharge et installe l'application ventoy
3) Télécharge ta version windows en prenant celle qui convient Probablement windows10 https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/softwar … ndows10ISO
4) vérifie son checksum avant de la déposer dans le support USB
5) Si tu as le temps, télécharge aussi la bonne version ubuntu qui est 22.04 https://releases.ubuntu.com/jammy/
et vérifie son checksum avant de la déposer dans le support USB.

J'ai téléchargé Ventoy et l'ai installé sur une clé USB, mais quand je démarre le portable avec la clé USB, il l'ignore superbement. J'ai trouvé un menu via la touche F10 au démarrage le menu HP Computer Setup, avec Principal - Sécurité - Avancé - Disques UEFI. Dans Avancé j'ai Options de démarrage, là Amorçage rapide et démarrage CD-ROM sont décochés, Démarrage par périphérique de stockage USB est coché, et tout en bas, Ordre de démarrage UEFI était décoché, je l'ai recoché mais ça ne change rien. Sous "Disques UEFI" dans le menu HP Computer Setup, j'ai "Gestion tierce de la ROM optionnelle" que je n'ai pas touché.
Maintenant, depuis que j'ai fait ces retouches (suppression de démarrage sur CD-ROM et ordre de démarrage UEFI recoché), je n'ai plus le même message sur fond noir, voici ce que j'obtiens :

Si tu bootes en EFI, il faut d'abord lancer boot-repair pour qu'il installe la structure EFI manquante dans le grub

Je ne comprends pas que ventoy ne boote pas. Dans la partition EXFAT, as-tu bien déposé les fichiers ISO de boot windows et ubuntu?

sur la page de Ventoy https://sourceforge.net/projects/ventoy/files/ j'ai téléchargé la dernière version v 1.0.95 puis j'ai créé la clé bootable à partir de cette image iso avec USB creator. J'ai ensuite mis cette clé USB sur un port USB de mon portable mais il ne se passe rien au démarrage, à part l'affichage que j'ai recopié ci-dessus sur fond noir qui reste en permanence. Comment dépose-t-on les fichiers ISO de boot Windows et Ubuntu, et dans quelle partition ? sur la clé USB ? C'est quoi cette partition EXFAT SVP ?

Bonjour.
Lorsque tu as installé venroy sur la clé il y a eu création de deux partitions.
L'une en fat16 tres petite contenant le logiciel ventoy destiné à afficher ce que tu as mis en copier/coller dans la seconde qui est trés grande et au format EXFAT afin de pouvoir stocker les ISO des boot qui peuvent dépasser la taille de 4Go.

Si tu n'as rien mis, il ne peut rien afficher.

3.1 Cas général.
il faut copier-coller ces ISO sur la clé Ventoy, en utilisant votre gestionnaire de fichiers (appelé Fichiers dans ubuntu).

Bonjour,
Après une petite pause de vacances itinérantes, je reviens à mon problème.
Ce coup-ci, j'ai la clé correcte, j'y ai bien déposé les ISO de Windows et Ubuntu.
Mon portable boote sur la clé et Ventoy me propose de démarrer soit sur Windows, soit sur Ubuntu. Je crois avoir compris que je devais démarrer sur Windows. Je fais ça, et ensuite, il me propose :
Boot in normal mode
Boot in winboot mode
File checksum
Return to previous menu
Je suppose que je dois sélectionner une des deux premières lignes, laquelle SVP ?
Et par la suite, quelles étapes à suivre ?

C'est toi qui sait si tu veux installer windows (ou le réparer) ou ubuntu.

Bonjour,
J'avais cherché une doc Ventoy sur leur site, sans succès. Et effectivement, il y a plein d'infos sur la page web https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/ventoy
Donc j'ai trouvé les infos mais avec les deux ISO Windows et Ubuntu sur une partition EXFAT, mon PC en rade démarre bien sur la clé, je choisis de démarrer sur Windows en Boot in normal mode et après un écran noir, il revient sur la page de choix Ventoy et reste coincé là.
J'ai vu que Windows refusait parfois de booter sur une partition EXFAT, alors j'ai reformaté avec Gparted la partition principale de la clé USB en NTFS et redéposé l'ISO de Windows sur cette partition. Là, le PC accepte de démarrer sur la clé en Windows, je dis oui pour le français, et ensuite, j'ai deux options, installer ou réparer. Je sélectionne réparer, parce qu'installer, je suppose qu'il va tout me dézinguer et me réclamer une clé que je n'ai pas en ma possession. Là, j'ai « Outil de redémarrage système - Corriger les problèmes qui empêchent le chargement de Windows ». Ça me semblait être l'option à utiliser, mais quand je clique là-dessus, la réponse est « Outil de redémarrage système n'a pas pu réparer votre PC ».

Il y a aussi une option « Restauration du système » mais qui me met un message comme si je pouvais démarrer normalement, ce qui n'est pas le cas et enfin, il y a une option « Récupération de l'image système - Récupérer Windows à l'aide d'un fichier image système spécifique ». Je n'ai pas osé cliquer là-dessus, est-ce la bonne option ?
Ensuite, est-ce que ça pose un problème que je n'ai mis que l'ISO Windows sur la partition NTFS, il me semble avoir lu que l'ISO Ubuntu ne pouvait pas se mettre sur ce type de partition, est-ce que je pourrai ensuite retrouver mon Ubuntu à côté de Windows en refaisant la clé avec la partition en EXFAT au lieu de NTFS une fois Windows récupéré ?

Donc maintenant tu peux booter avec le support d'installation formaté en NTFS au lieu de EXFAT.
Il est totalement possible d'y mettre le fichier de boot ISO de ubuntu. Tu dois confondre avec installer ubuntu dans une partition NTFS.
En fait le réparateur de windows n'a jamais su réparer la structure de boot EFI, il faut faire manuellement en ligne de commandes. Chose que tu peux maintenant faire

Rebonjour Geole,
J'ai exécuté scrupuleusement la méthode 2, G était utilisé, j'ai mis K qui l'était aussi, et ça a fonctionné avec L.
Dans la partie 2 de « Exécuter Diskpart pour définir l'ID de la partition et attribuer une lettre de lecteur », il y a deux possibilités, j'ai d'abord fait la première « set id=c12a7328-f81f-11d2-ba4b-00a0c93ec93b », mon PC ne redémarre pas, puis la deuxième « SET ID=ebd0a0a2-b9e5-4433-87c0-68b6b72699c7 », même punition.
Remarque, dans tout le processus, il est demandé d'entrer « exit » ce qui fait sortir de Diskpart, et on voit les copies d'écrans suivantes à nouveau dans Diskpart, j'ai donc rentré à nouveau la commande diskpart pour faire la suite, mais mon PC ne démarre toujours pas sur son disque dur.
Une autre idée ?

Refais un boot-info afin de voir comment s'est faite la réparation.

Mais as-tu bien exécuté la commande bcdboot? Il faut sortir de diskpart pour l'exécuter
bcdboot C:\Windows /1 fr-fr /s L: /f ALL

Bonjour,
J'ai accès au Bios par F10 au démarrage. Là j'ai 4 titres :
Main - Security - Advanced - UEFI drivers
J'ai pensé tout d'abord qu'il fallait aller dans UEFI drivers, mais là je n'ai que la possibilité de sélectionner un « 3rd party option ROM management »
Dans Main, j'ai :
System Information
System Diagnosis
Update System BIOS
Change Date and Time
System IDs
Replicated Setup
Save Custom Defaults
Apply Custom Defaults and Exit
Apply Factory defaults and Exit
Ignore Changes and Exit
Save Changes and Exit.
J'ai tenté de voir s'il y avait quelque chose là-dedans qui me permettrait de ré-installer EFI, mais je n'ai rien vu qui faisait ça.
Dans Security, on ne parle que de sécuriser le BIOS avec un mot de passe.
Dans Advanced je trouve :
Display Language
Scheduled power-on
Boot options
Secure Boot configuration (je crois que ça, une fois le BIOS retapé, ça sera utile pour la suite)
System options
Built-in device options (qui concerne la carte ethernet apparemment)
Port options
Option ROM Launch Policy (là, il y a 3 choix, il était en All Legacy, j'ai mis All UEFI. Il y a aussi une option All UEFI Except Video que je n'ai pas essayée)
Enfin Power Management options qui ne m'avance à rien.
Le fait d'avoir changé All Legacy par All UEFI me change l'écran où il s'arrête au démarrage j'obtiens :

Tu as bien avancé, Pourrais-tu maintenant refaire un boot-info.
Et poster l'url que je ne regarderais certainement pas ce soir.
Tu enchaineras sur un boot-repair avec la réparation recommandée que tu posteras aussi.
Puis tu tenteras de booter.
