(RÉSOLU) réparer dual boot w11 et Ubuntu 22.04 facilement

Bonsoir,
Je vais la faire brève.

J'adore Ubuntu et j'ai encore un ou deux CD genre Warty de février 2005

J'ai systématiquement toujours mis mes bécanes en dual-boot avec plus ou moins de bonheur.
Surtout les petits Acer Aspire, si pratiques...

là, je galère et je viens faire appel à votre extrême obligeance pour ne pas passer des heures en recherches souvent stériles...

1. je viens de récupérer un PC HP compaq pro 6300, 64 bits, entièrement vierge avec un bon disque dur et un windows 11 tout neuf.

j'ai téléchargé et mis un Ubuntu 22.04 un peu automatiquement, après avoir au préalable partitionné le disque windows AVEC WINDOWS pour faire de la place pour Ubuntu.

tout s'est relativement bien passé.

MAIS : après être entré dans windows pour y installer un ou deux programmes que j'avais achetés et dont l'équivalent n'existe pas pour Ubuntu,
le problème est que maintenant, lorsque je mets en marche mon PC : il boote sur Windows direct.

Pas de Grub...

J'ai fouillé, cherché, mais je suis chaque fois - pour relancer en Ubuntu - obligé de :

mettre en marche,
lancer windows,
chercher une option démarrage "dépannage"
prendre "options avancées"
changer les paramètres du microprogramme UEFI

là : un redémarrage survient et débouche sur une fenêtre bleue :

Menu de démarrage
avec une option "exécuter l'application UEFI"   <---  je clique dessus

une fenêtre propose HDD Toshiba DT01ACA100, partition 1  <------ je clique dessus

une nouvelle fenêtre ne donne pas d'autre choix que < EFI >   <---- je valide

une nouvelle fenêtre propose :

<Boot>
<ubuntu>   <------ je valide

une nouvelle fenêtre propose :

mmx64.efi
shimx64.efi
grubx64.efi   <------- je valide


et là : la bécane redémarre et ouf : le Grub s'affiche avec :

Ubuntu
Advanced option for Ubuntu
Windows Boot Manager ( on /dev/sda1 )
UEFI Firmware Settings.

je prends la 1ere option, et c'est bon. Je suis dans ubuntu.

j'éteins la bécane..... c'est windows de nouveau quand je rallume. Je suis obligée de me re-taper toute cette procédure.


Il y a donc un truc avec ces UEFI que je ne comprends pas et que je ne sais pas régler. Je veux pas tout tester à l'aveugle,
et c'est pourquoi si quelqu'un à l'obligeance de me dire sur quelle discussion je dois me rendre pour régler ce problème spécifique qui englobe windows 11 et Ubuntu 22.04 bien particulièrement. Je suis persuadée que c'est déjà arrivé aux autres utilisateurs de dual boot. C'est qu'il me manque un indice pour comprendre...

Je sais ouvrir un terminal, je sais utiliser sudo, mais à ce stade là, je bloque complètement et je ne vois pas où commencer pour corriger ce bug...

Please do not forget to make your UEFI firmware boot on the L'OS actuellement utilisé - Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS entry (sda1/efi/****/grub****.efi (**** will be updated in the final message) file) !
If your computer reboots directly into Windows, try to change the boot order in your UEFI firmware.
If your UEFI firmware does not allow to change the boot order, change the default boot entry of the Windows bootloader.
For example you can boot into Windows, then type the following command in an admin command prompt:
bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\****\grub****.efi (**** will be updated in the final message)

Bonsoir.
Il  faut cesser de dire à windows de se stopper en cliquant sur l'icône  ARRETER.   Cela met windows en hibernation  et   cela le fait redémarrer.
Il  faut dire à windows de se stopper en cliquant sur l'icône          REDEMARRER,    Cela positionne le bios pour  faire un démarrage sur EFI. Tu pourras avoir le choix plus facilement.

Mais il te faudra  personnaliser/customize le démarrage de ton HP    Probablement avec la touche F11
Je ne peux en dire plus car ton ordinateur 6300 n'est pas encore dans la liste

J'ai redémarré après le boot-repair, pico bello en grub avec Ubuntu en 1ère ligne.
J'ai éteint le PC, rallumé, toujours le bon grub.
J'ai pris l'option Windows et j'écris ce message depuis W11 avec Opera.

Je vais éteindre et rallumer.... et vérifier si mon grub est encore actif.

A soudain...

PS  j'ai du corriger les horloges, car W et U avaient des différences de 1 heure.
Là, W est dans le bon créneau horaire.

après avoir  éteint redémarré W   le grub ne fonctionne plus, là je vous écris depuis W et Firefox.

bon... eh bien la punition c'est que chaque fois que je touche windows, il me massacre le grub
mais la procédure de réparation prend moins de 10 minutes. comme de toute façon je suis en général 99,9% sur Ubuntu
eh bien tant pis.

Pas trouvé comment régler ce problème sans devoir passer par cette réparation via W

Le plus simple me semble de lui faire plaisir pour booter Windows...
Mais on le fait tomber dans le piège Refind
Il te faudra installer refind.
   Le plus simple est de le faire après un nouveau bricolage permettant de lancer ubuntu.

sudo apt install refind

Puis mettre refind dans le fichier de boot  windows.

Je ne comprends pas très bien pourquoi le recencement des tours est  exclu. Il me semble que cela n'est pas encore dans la catégorie "professionnel'.

Il semble que la documentation traite du portable, les tours pouvant être équipées de périphériques variés, et nécessite de rajouter les écrans, cela devient compliqué de gérer un parc hétéroclite.

24.04.2024  mon amie a 79 ans aujourd'hui

09:12   démarrage... grub fonctionne... pas été sur windows, car je sais d'avance qu'en m'y rendant il me bousillera mon boot
windows sera lancé uniquement si j'ai vraiment besoin de travailler.

je vais regarder le post #7 refind, si c'est pas trop technique je vais tenter.

mais je reste persuadée que c'est une embrouille avec UEFI quelque part.

Contourner le démarrage forcé sur Windows 10 et Windows 8

La méthode Boot-Repair ne prend plus en charge ce cas-là mais n'explique pas ce qui se passe. Voici donc une méthode alternative détaillée mais nécessitant de savoir utiliser un terminal). Elle semble indispensable sur certains MSI et Sony. Voici les étapes à suivre, détaillées dans les sous-paragraphes suivants :

    sauvegarder les programmes d'amorçage EFI d'origine
    renommer le programme d'amorçage standard de Microsoft, et écraser toutes les copies que peut charger le bios UEFI par le programme d'amorçage de grub
    modifier le système de détection des autres OS de grub

mais je me sens un peu seule face à cette suggestion, j'ai pas envie de planter quoi que ce soit.


Entre-temps j'ai pu voir que Malbo n'aime pas les HP  yikes et ce déjà depuis 2015

Effectivement, tu peux aussi demander au programme de boot de windows de lancer le grub.

Please do not forget to make your UEFI firmware boot on the L'OS actuellement utilisé - Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS entry (sda1/efi/****/grub****.efi (**** will be updated in the final message) file) !
If your computer reboots directly into Windows, try to change the boot order in your UEFI firmware.
If your UEFI firmware does not allow to change the boot order, change the default boot entry of the Windows bootloader.

grâce à vous j'ai pu réparer cette anomalie.

Je résume :

situation : 
pc tour HP Compaq pro 6300 microtower
OS installé : w11 tout neuf
création depuis W11 de l'espace pour accueillir 22.04 en réduisant la partition de moitié
création d'une partition supplémentaire " TRANSITO "  permettant la lecture et l'écriture de fichiers depuis et vers W11 et 22.04
installation de 22.04 avec /

complication :
le grub est installé. Le démarrage sur 22.04 se fait sans probème.
Mais si on démarre sur W11, au prochain reboot le grub a disparu et le PC boote sur W11 exclusivement

résolution :
dans un premier temps, depuis W11, chercher "démarrage" "dépannage"
prendre "options avancées"
prendre "changer les paramètres du microprogramme UEFI"

action :
une fenêtre bleue s'ouvre avec en bas "exécuter l'application UEFI"  <- valider cette option
une fenêtre grise s'ouvre par dessus la bleue : " file browser"
sélectionner le "HDD Partition 1" et valider

une fenêtre grise se superpose : "file browser"  < EFI>    <-valider cette option

une fenêtre grise se superpose : "files browser" avec trois options:

j'avais pris  <ubuntu>       REM : je mets ici "j'avais" parce que je ne savais pas quoi faire avant

le pc a fait sa cuisine interne, puis a redémarré : le grub est de retour.
Mais pas pour longtemps : dès que je démarrais sur windows, pouf : de nouveau plus de grub

à partir de là, faire un boot-info depuis ubuntu
puis un boot repair

et enfin la fameuse commande finale

bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\ubuntu\grubx64.efi

qui a remis en place tout comme il faut.
