Probleme avec Driver nvidia

Bonjours a tous,

j'ai cherché commme jai pu, dans ce forum, le wiki,les faq etc, mais je suis pas capable de reglé mon probleme.

J'utilise Ubuntu 5.10 Breezy Badger avec cette config:
p3 933
512meg de ram
80gig ide
geforce4 mx4000

La carte video est détecté, le dma activé, les derniers drivers intallé, l'anti alias des polices désactivé, le base:config repassé et j'ai toujours ce lag quand je dépace/ouvre/ferme des fenetre, en défilant une page rapidement, ou meme la console. Sinon je n'ai pas de probleme de "lenteur" (j'utilise gnome) donc le probleme doit vraiment venir du driver video. La carte n'est pas defectueuse, rien ne l'est. je suis a court d'idée, help

personne a une idee? jai installer quake3 et pourtant sa marche a merveille :s
