Problème installation Intel Wifi 3945ABG sur Ubuntu

Bonjour,

Je viens d'installer linux ce week-end (c'est tout nouveau pour moi) et je me heurte à un problème, qui apparemment énerve déjà beaucoup de personnes.

J'ai en effet sur mon pc portable HP Pavillon dv9500 une carte wifi intel 3945ABG et je n'arrive pas à la faire fonctionner, et être près de la Box est contraignant ... J'ai déjà bien regardé toutes les discussion sur divers forum sans obtenir de solution qui fonctionne. (je suis sur la dernière version d'Ubuntu).

J'espère que quelqu'un pourra m'aider ! smile

Ce chipset est pris en charge nativement, vérifie juste que ta carte est allumée smile

Bonjour slasher-fun !

En effet c'est ce que j'ai pu lire sur plusieurs forum, mais j'ai déjà essayé de l'allumer, de l'éteindre, bref un peu tout sur ce qui était matériel mais aucun résultat. Dans mes connexions je ne peux même pas activer " activer le réseaux sans fil ".

J'ai vu que je devais installer le paquet "linux-restricted-modules-xxx" avec xxx  qui correspond à ce que j'obtient avec uname -r mais sans résultat. Le paquet n'est pas trouvé...

Bonjour, j'ai cherché dans la liste des cartes wifi si la tienne est compatible ou non avec linux mais il n'y a pas l'air d'avoir de problème apparent avec  ta carte : la liste
Je te conseille de lire ce tuto : Un tuto (ça pourrait t'aider et il y en a peut-être aussi sur ce site d'ailleurs).
J'espère que ça t'aidera.

J'ai déjà vu ces tuto mais je n'ai malheureusement pas trouvé le fichier inf de ma carte, afin de passer par ndiswrapper ... je n'ai que des .exe ...

Et avec les commandes que donnent le tuto Ubuntu, je n'obtient rien de concluant :

avec iwconfig j'obtient :

J'espère que quelqu'un pourra m'aider dans ce problème qui me contraindrai à retourner sur win... s'il n'est pas résolu ...

OK. Est-ce que tu peux faire alors

Seul le deuxième devrait renvoyer quelque chose.

Je ne comprend pas ce que tu veux, ce qu'a suggéré "Capitaine caverne" ?

Et sinon quand je lance iwconfig j'obtiens toujours l0 eth0 mais toujours pas de wlan0 ... est-ce normal ?

Oui c'est ça. Et c'est bien fait juste après avoir fait "sudo modprobe iwl3945" ? Parce que dans ce que tu me donnes ensuite avec "dmesg  | grep iwl", ça dit clairement que le wifi est bien actif suite à ça...

Le wifi est notamment matériellement éteint, peux-tu appuyer sur le petit bouton qui sert à activer le wifi sur ton PC et refaire le "rfkill list" ?
