Pb dongle wiifi EDIMAX EW-7811Un

Bonjour,
J'ai acheté un dongle usb EDIMAX Réf EW-7811Un afin de pouvoir connecté mon smartphone à internet , mon Pc étant connecté à internet via une connection  Ethernet.

Le dongle EDIMAX :

J'ai installé le dernier driver fourni par le fabricant. Après installation une LED bleue s'est mise à clignoter.
-Dans le tableau de bord, en cliquant sur l'icone réseau, j'ai accés a un menu me proposant de me connecter a un "réseau sans fil invisble".

Ensuite j'obtiens :

Ensuite .....ça mouline, et la même fenêtre réapparaît. :-/

La commande Iwnconfig me donne :

Je suis sous Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, j'ai suivi le tutoriel wifi > http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/wifi  mais je m'en sort pas ....

Ce n'est pas le PC qui se connecte au Smartphone mais l'inverse...

Regardez la doc de hostapd vous allez comprendre :

J'ai vu que tu avais réussi à installer la clé Edimax 7811, pourrais tu me donner la procédure pour l'installer car je galère depuis un moment

Désolé pour la réponse tardive... (vacances !!! )
Faut installer le dernier pilote dispo sur le site du fabricant, J'avais trouvé le rtl8192CU_8188CU_linux_v2.0.939.20100726 sur ton bureau par exemple.
Ensuite dans le terminal, tu tapes :

cd Bureau/rtl8192CU_8188CU_linux_v2.0.939.20100726/driver/rtl8192CU_linux_v2.0.939.20100726
make
sudo make install
sudo modprobe 8192cu

Et ta clé devrais être reconnue.

bonjour,

Après avoir cherché partout, et fait beaucoup de manoeuvres, et suivi les commandes notamment comme celle décrite ci-avant par Scaramanga, je ne parviens toujours pas à utiliser ma nano usb Edimax 7811Un
J'ai même le cd pour le pilote linux (vendu avec). Le seul hic est que je ne peux pas l'installer, car à chaque fois que j'écris la cmde.       " make"  j'ai la réponse : "aucun fichier de ce nom"  alors que je l'ai copié sous Téléchargements, et ai essayé aussi de le mettre sous "documents" ou encore sous "bureau"... bref! il n'existe pas!
Il va sans dire que j'ai décompressé le fichier dans le même répertoire.

Mon FAI est free,  ma wifi fonctionne très bien sous ouin7!
