[resolu]activer la 3D avec CG intel GMA X3100
je viens d installe gutsy
sur un laptop sony que je viens d acquerir
la carte graphique est une intel gma x3100
tout fonctione correctement sauf que je narrive pas a
installe l acceleration graphique et la 3D
si quelqu'un a une idee
merci d avance

En cherchant un peu, le message que j'ai mis en gras signifie que ta carte, ou son pilote, est considérée comme posant problème avec Compiz.
J'avais oublié de préciser que tu as l'accélération graphique car le pilote "intel" est installé. Par contre, pas de Compiz. Voir ici la question de xxxYURAxxx.

Ils sont sur le sujet, car il y des problèmes pour les utilisateurs de certaines cartes ATI et intel.

et une intel 965GM.
Pour info, surveilles bien les mises à jour. Quand tu en verras concernant Compiz, retentes.

Bonsoir,
j'ai visiblement le même laptop que deadpool, et le même souci avec compiz
A la seule différence pres je n'ai pas l'acceleration graphique.
mais la ligne "direct rendering : yes" n'apparait pas.
Un petit brin d'aide serait bienvenue. sur mon pc j'avais réussi pour CG nvidia mais là je seche...

je resolu mon probleme grace a ton tuto
donc compiz fonctionne
mais par contre on a un cube par bureau? je trouve ca pas terrible
du coup j ai viré compiz-setting-manager et je l ai remplacé par gnome-compiz-manager il y a moins d'options mais j ai mes 4 bureaux sur mon cube
et les effets feu je m'en fou un peu

Tu verra qu'il ya quand même quelques problèmes pour l'affichage de logiciels nécessitant le rendu 3d et totem ne sera plus en mesure de lire des vidéos ! (mais bon le bureau est zoli alors ça compense).
Sinon, avec compiz-setting-manager il est possible d'avoir 1 cabe à 4face (1face par bureau) il faut modifier le nombre de bureau en faisant click droit sur le selecteur de bureau du pannel gnome et ensuite redémarrer; (sinon il faut fouinner dans les réglages généraux de compiz-setting-manager).
Pas bête l'install partie ubuntu à renes ! A lannion il y en a déjà eut une à l'iut en début d'année, l'opération était menée par un colègue. (je n'ai pas pu m'y joindre... d'autres obligations)
