Pour faire maigrir ton disque C: de Windows 8, cela se fait depuis Windows 8 lui-même.

Sauf que le tuto propose de réduire C: pour créer une partition D: alors que toi tu vas te contenter de réduire C: sans créer d'autres partitions (tu laisseras l'espace libre)
Edit : je vire cette partie parce que les liens sont morts. Tant pis, de toute façon c'était zéro comme site. EDIT : les indications pour utiliser l'outil de partitionnement de Windows 8 sont données dans ce paragraphe : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/repartitionner … _windows_8

Parmi les mesures à prendre pour aider Windows 8 à faire maigrir le disque C: (à faire avant de réduire la taille du disque C: ) tu peux :
- désactiver la protection du système : http://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/3476 … -windows-8 (c'est à faire pour le disque C: et pour d'autres disques si tu vois que cette protection y est activée)
- désactiver l'hibernation (dans le but de supprimer le fichier hiberfil.sys): avec la fonction "Rechercher" de Windows 8, dans les Applications, tu tapes les trois lettres "inv" et ta vas avoir comme résultat "Invite de commande". Tu te contentes de faire un clic droit sur le résultat "Invite de commande" : ça va faire apparaître en bas une barre dans laquelle tu trouveras "Exécuter comme administrateur" et tu vas le sélectionner. L'invite de commande va pouvoir s'ouvrir (avec pouvoir administrateur donc) et tu vas pouvoir coller dedans (*) :

powercfg /h off

 
et valider par la touche Entrée
cela va supprimer instantanément le fichier hiberfil.sys (source : http://www.nextofwindows.com/hiberfil-s … delete-it/)
Tu peux fermer l'invite de commande. Si tu penses à noter la taille de ton disque C: avant de faire cette désactivation, tu verras que la taille de C: a bien maigri après cette opération.
- Supprimer pagefile.sys : désolé, c'est en anglais mais c'est tout en images : http://mywindows8.org/delete-pagefile-in-windows-8/ (là aussi, tu notes la taille de C: avant et après et tu verras que ça fait maigrir)

- Terminer par une défragmentation : http://windows.microsoft.com/fr-fr/wind … ard-drive#

(*) après mise en place du dual-boot et vérification qu'il est fonctionnel, il est possible de rétablir l'hibernation de Windows 8 en passant la commande :

powercfg /h on

comme tu disais:je cacate. je n'arrive pas supprimer pagefile.sys bien que je sois allé sur le lien  http://mywindows8.org/delete-pagefile-in-windows-8/.en fait je ne sais pas comment m'y prendre!!!!!je suis allé sur propriètés du disque dur et je ne trouve rien qui ressemble aux images données par le lien.

Si tu n'arrives pas à supprimer pagefile.sys (c'est à dire supprimer la mémoire virtuelle), laisse-le. Ce n'est pas grave : tu n'as qu'à sauter cette étape (voir EDIT). Mais avant de faire l'opération de réduction de la taille de C: , je te recommande de faire une défragmentation (juste avant).

EDIT : ou alors, au lieu de supprimer la mémoire virtuelle, tu peux lui fixer une valeur faible (inférieure à 1000 Mo) en t'aidant de cette vidéo (elle propose d'augmenter la mémoire, mais toi tu vas diminuer la mémoire) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McVXDwFbw3Y
Si tu n'arrives pas non plus à suivre la procédure de cette vidéo, il existe des tutos sur le net (cherche avec Google)

OK, donc tu peux attaquer la réduction de la taille du disque C: depuis Windows 8 lui-même comme expliqué dans le post #76. A mon avis, il convient de viser 50 Go (au lieu de 456Go actuellement) comme taille pour le C: de Windows.
Si Windows refuse de descendre en-dessous d'une certaine taille. Accepte ce qu'il te propose (même si c'est loin des 50 Go visés) et laisse-le faire sa réduction de taille. Quand il aura terminé, tu redémarreras pour vérifier que Windows 8 fonctionne toujours, puis je te prie de refaire un Boot-Info pour que je puisse voir ce qui aura été fait.

enregistre dans tes marques pages (firefox) ou barre des favoris (chromium) l'adresse du site google traduction ici :marque page ou favoris accessible rapidement

c'est très pratique ! genre,comprendre les retours du terminal,tuto étrangé...etc...
et toujours avec des [ copier-coller ]

exemple pour une de tes sortie de commandes de ton post 70  Le 06/06/2013, à 10:00 :
le terminal te demandait de lancer  sudo apt-get update

C'est parfait, tu peux installer Ubuntu dans la partie libérée. Tu peux t’inspirer de ce tuto : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1293061 mais je te conseillerais de prévoir une partition /home en plus de la partition racine et la partition swap. La partition racine peut avoir un taille de 30 Go, la partition swap une taille de 5 Go (sachant que ta RAM fait 4 Go) et la partition /home tout le reste de la place disponible (sauf erreur de calcul, ça devrait faire 370 Go pour la partition /home).

Bonjour

L'organisation de ton disque est une question délicate. Ce que te conseille malbo est ce qu'il y a de plus simple, une racine, une swap et une home.

Cependant, plutôt que d'affecter les 370 Go restants à home, il peut être intéressant d'en garder en réserve pour des évolutions futures. Et si, à terme, cette configuration te satisfait entièrement, tu auras tout loisir à agrandir la home pour lui affecter ce que tu auras mis en réserve.

Les extensions futures peuvent être : l'installation d'autres systèmes, la séparation de tes données en diverses partitions selon leur caractéristiques : données confidentielles, périodicité plus ou moins grande de leur sauvegarde, etc...

Ne veux-tu pas dire "configuration du matériel" ?
Si tu es coincé, je suppose que ça veut dire que tu es planté (plus rien ne fonctionne). Il faut alors faire un arrêt forcé (appui long sur le bouton marche/arrêt du PC) et redémarrer pour voir si Windows 8 fonctionne toujours. Puis redémarrer sur ton support live Ubuntu pour faire un Boot-Info.

On peut voir dans ce Boot-Info que tu n'as pas créé de partition /home comme je te l'avais suggéré. Je te prie donc de recommencer l'installation suivant la même procédure, en réaffectant sda6 pour la partition racine et sda7 pour la swap (puisqu'il me semble que tu as bien fait le boulot pour eux) et en ajoutant une partition /home dans l'espace libre. Les indications pour créer cette partition /home sont là : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/parti … rsonnelles
S'agissant de la taille : tu laisses ce qu'il y aura (normalement, l'installateur devrait te proposer d'utiliser toute la place non allouée comme je t'ai déjà expliqué),
- emplacement de la nouvelle partition : début
- utiliser comme : système de fichiers journalisé EXT4
- point de montage : /home (ça devrait se trouver dans le menu déroulant sinon tu tapes "/home" dans ce champ "point de montage" et ça va le faire)

Dans cette dernière installation, c'est dommage que ça ne fonctionne pas parce que tu avais bien créé la partition /home.
Je suppose que les ennuis que tu rencontres ont à voir avec ta carte graphique HD 7310 (elle équipe ton Toshiba C870D-11H). Je suppose que la dernière version de Ubuntu (13.04) doit gérer directement cette carte graphique avec le pilote libre. Pour l'instant, je te propose de télécharger et d’essayer en session live Ubuntu 13.04. Si ça fonctionne bien en session live, tu pourrais essayer de l'installer. Je ne te dis pas d'abandonner l'idée d'installer Ubuntu 12.04 un jour*, je te propose d'envisager une solution alternative pour arriver enfin à installer Ubuntu dans ton ordi.

Utilise la même clé en remplaçant Ubuntu 12.04 par 13.04. Si tu as besoin (dans l’avenir) de réinstaller Ubuntu 12.04, tu referas ta clé comme avant.

Je viens d'examiner ton boot-Info ( http://paste.ubuntu.com/5754371/ ) : je ne sais pas comment tu as pu te retrouver dans cet état d'encombrement des partitions. Je te suggère de lancer Gparted (éditeur de partition) depuis ta session live de Ubuntu 13.04 et de supprimer les partitions sda6, sda7, sda8, sda9 et sda10 pour dégager la place puis de poster ton Boot-Info afin que je vois si tu as bien viré ces partitions. Si c'est OK, je te donnerai le top pour faire l’installation sur disque dur avec une partition racine de 30 Go, une partition swap de 5 Go et une partition /home qui occupera tout le reste de l'espace disponible (tu avais réussi à le faire dans le post #95 avec Ubuntu 12.04, aussi je suis confiant que tu vas réussir avec Ubuntu 13.04)
