Erreur fatale : grub install dummy

Bonjour,

Voila mon problème, je viens d'acheter un ordinateur ASUS avec Windows 8 pré-installé dessus. J'ai commencé l'installation de Ubuntu 13.04, grâce à une image iso que j'ai trouvé sur internet qui s'appelle linux-secure-13.04-64bit. J'ai réalisé cette installation via une clé USB
L'installation se déroulait très bien mais à la fin, lors du redémarrage j'ai malencontreusement  enlevé la prise du secteur et cela a annulé l'installation.

Maintenant lorsque je réessaye d'installer cette version de Ubuntu, j'ai une erreur fatale concernant grub install dummy...
De plus, dans le BIOS, j'ai une nouvelle partition nommé Ubuntu depuis ma 1ere tentative d'installation (lorsque j'essaye de booter dessus rien ne se passe) et je ne sais pas comment la supprimé de ce menu de boot.

Bonjour,

Tu démarres toujours sur ton windows 8 ?
Si ce n'est pas le cas restaure ton démarrage de windows 8 (MBR) si marche pas vois avec "superGrub disk:  pour enlever le grub"

Tu as dû trouver le fichier linux-secure-13.04-64bit.iso à cette adresse : http://sourceforge.net/projects/linux-secure/files/
Tu peux voir la date de création de ce fichier ISO : 2013-05-20
Je veux dire que c'est un fichier déjà ancien (je soupçonne que l'installateur est bogué s'agissant de ton problème).

ça ressemble à ton problème. Tu peux essayer la solution proposée en l'adaptant à ton cas (remplacer sdxy* par ta partition EFI) :

sudo dosfsck -r /dev/sdxy

Si tu arrives à quelque chose avec cette astuce, je te recommande d'abandonner l'idée d'utiliser l'ISO linux-secure-13.04-64bit.iso parce que la version qu'il contient (Ubuntu 13.04) ne sera plus maintenue en janvier 2014 (voir ici). Ce qui convient, c'est d'adopter Ubuntu 13.10. Je te propose cette procédure pour faire une liveUSB Ubuntu 13.10 qui fonctionne bien : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p15304131

* si tu ne sais pas comment identifier cela, je te prie de poster ton Boot-Info et je te dirai que faire

@Sinikrole : ça doit être une bonne idée d'utiliser superGrub disk mais attention c'est "Super Grub2 Disk" qui convient (j'en parle là) parce qu'il s'agit d'une installation en mode EFI et en plus il faut utiliser la version la plus fraîche qui doit être super_grub2_disk_hybrid_2.00s1-beta6.iso

Je suis entrain de télécharger 13.10 pour essayer de l'installer.

Par contre je suis allé sur la page que tu m'as conseillé malbo, concernant "Super Grub2 Disk", et je ne vois pas en quoi cela va réparer ou supprimer (je ne sais pas comment on dit...) GRUB. La version Ubuntu défectueuse que j'ai au démarrage sera-t-elle toujours dans les options de boot que j'ai en faisant F2 ?

J'ai crée une clé live-USB Ubuntu 13.10 comme tu me l'as conseillé malbo, mais lorsque j'essaye de booter dessus depuis le BIOS, rien ne se passe...

Est-ce que tu arrives à sélectionner cette liveUSB dans le Bios ? Si oui, comment ça apparaît à l'écran* ? Je te pose cette question parce qu'évidemment si la liveUSB n'est pas détectée par ton système UEFI au démarrage, c'est sûr que tu n'es pas prêt d'y arriver.

* par exemple, ici sur la vue, il faut sélectionner la ligne "UEFI: USB" pour démarrer sur le liveUSB Ubuntu en mode EFI
Dans d'autre cas, ça apparaît sous la forme d'une ligne "UEFI : nom du fabricant de la clé USB ...." (genre "UEFI: Kingston...")

Oui j'arrives à séléctionner, elle se trouve a côté de mon Windows 8 et de la version Ubuntu défectueuse et elle apparaît sur une ligne commençant par UEFI mais lorque j'appuie sur entrée, un écran noir apparaît pendant une fraction de seconde (le système doit sans doute essayer d'accèder aux information sur la clé USB) puis le même écran de choix du boot réapparait.

As-tu désactivé "Secure Boot" ? Il y a des indications pour le faire sur un Asus dans cette doc : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/desactiver_secure_boot#asus

D'autre part, peux-tu préciser le nom complet du modèle de ton ordi Asus (le nom commercial complet, genre "UX31A-R4003P" et pas seulement "UX31A") ?

Si j'ai bien compris ce que tu as écrit dans le post #1, finalement le démarrage sur ta liveUSB linux-secure-13.04-64bit se passait très bien alors qu'avec cette liveUSB Ubuntu 13.10, c'est la cata. Comme je suis à court d'idée à te proposer pour l'heure*, je te prie de réutiliser ta liveUSB linux-secure-13.04-64bit (ou de la refaire) afin de répondre à cette demande : Créer un rapport Boot-Info

* je suis perplexe parce que je suppose que tu as un problème d'affichage avec cette liveUSB 13.10 du fait que tu as la technologie Optimus qui équipe ton modèle d'ordi (techno qui pose des pb à Linux) mais si c'était le cas, par quel miracle ce pb d'affichage ne se produirait pas avec ta liveUSB précédente (linux-secure-13.04-64bit) ?

C'est parfait. Le souci c'est que Ubuntu 13.04 est le mauvais cheval comme je t'ai expliqué dans le post #4 parce qu'il ne sera plus maintenu en janvier 2014. Installer ce machin qui sera obsolète dans un mois, c'est pas fameux.

D'autre part, ce que tu disais dans le post #1 laissait penser que Ubuntu avait quand même pu commencer à s'installer dans ton disque dur. C'est peut-être vrai sauf que je ne vois aucune trace de ça dans le Boot-Info : il n'y a que Windows là-dedans et rien d'autre.
En plus, quand on veut installer Ubuntu, la doc précise qu'il faut laisser une zone non-allouée sur le disque dur (une zone sans aucune partition). C'est expliqué là : 2. But à atteindre
Pour ce faire, la doc propose de le faire depuis Windows 8 : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/repartitionner … _windows_8
Comme toi tu as une partition DATA, c'est elle que tu dois faire maigrir afin de dégager une zone libre (non-allouée) et non pas le disque C: parce qu'il faut toucher le moins possible à la partition système de Windows.
